Don't you know people are most generous when they are happy or relieved? They are more prone to act very charitable even against their basic character.

That's exactly what worked here. Geets promise made Maan relieved, made him light-hearted enough to be so generous as to mention that marriage, family is above all else.. made him go quite playful in front of them and then let malhotra have his leave..

It made him feel relieved enough, to give in to his curiosity and genuinely try to know Geet by eavesdropping in their conversation .. and then teasingly agree to the party.

Its the euphoria of the pressure of expectations having been lifted off of him. not to forget, he realizes how courageous her decision has been. its a small way to make it up to her, for all the misbehavior she took without complaints and for the promise.

And NOW we will see Maan not shunning her or he thoughts outright.

At least that is what I could make of him today.

I agree... but still I feel it was his transformation was too sudden...

Maan ka behavior aaj dekhe I was very happy...I thought he deserved 👏👏👏par yaar I think tumhara logic deserves a bigger👏👏👏...i like it...and I think u r absolutely right...kya baat hai...GHSP mein tumne logic dhoond liya...I am impressed😆😆😆😆

Good reasoning...but I have to agree with mistry85 that it was a bit too sudden..literally overnight.
Didn't he look rather perturbed rather than relieved when he left Geet's room last night.

Don't get me wrong. I love this side of Maan. This was the Maan before the ML. But it was much too sudden. It could have been shown one episode later. Geet's reactions were more consistent.

My whole theory on this change, hinges on how sudden and intense it is.

its all got to do with, how much Maan was suffering. He was literally teary when he was made to break her fast. That's how much it was killing him. He said it himself- ".. main khush nahin hoon. "

For Maan to say that is huge.

So when Geet accepts his explanation, and also supports him, Can you even begin to imagine how he must have felt !

Must have been like someone was squashing his lungs for a lon time, and suddenly they were free, and he could gulp in as much air as he wanted.

In that frame of mind, when he encounters Malhotra and his problem,

his initial euphoria carries him.. as much as he realizes his own mistakes he also realizes how she took it all...

His gratitude at her concession, makes him want to make peace with her as quickly as possible, wants to indulge her so that she understands that hes grateful, and that he acknowledges her struggle and wants to make her feel a little better..

Its quite natural , and it can only happen all of a sudden..Hell i have been through it so I know..

This euphoria makes you impatient to make the other person realize that all is well between them, makes you want to take as many steps towards friendliness and removing that awkwardness as soon possible.. form a kind and gentle bond ..

And as surely this impulse dies a calm death , the original character returns to fore, albeit with more warmth at least towards that one person.

That is why it had to be this sudden, cause the incidents were fresh in his mind, so also his freedom. That is how generally a person would celebrate ,and return gratitude towards someone they were probably not so great with.

The feeling is almost childlike in its exuberance and intensity.

Then hes back to being a bit high handed in front of her, when he declares they are going to have that party afterall. To quickly establish their sparring relationship once again. To bring things back to normal.

Works at making the bond very comfortable yet not very personal.
