I agree with u. most of the people prefer to watch Yeh Rishtas. i don't know why that serial is so popular. I think they drag each sequence too much. But most of our family members like to watch these elaborate wedding sequences which go on and on for days...no sorry weeks on end. Also Star One does not have such a wide reach as SP. Finally the show's budget is also not as high as the budget of SP shows or even shows on other channels. For instance there is one show on Colours MB...its sets are like wow! I have never seen such elaborate sets. My family watches this show so I too watch GHSP on Star one live. But now that show has changed its timings so I think I can watch GHSP live on TV.

I dont like Yeh rishta because they drag so much in their serial. no movements at all. but in star one all youth and different stories we get to see.

thats not the only problem i beg to differ...the reason is the channel...not the time..geet trps very nice once upon a time compared to the reach it has but due to many factors related to the show they lost the trps...just because it airs along with another show doesn't affect the trps much...

True when these silly saas-bahu dramas do so well we feel so bad. But it shows the poor taste of our Indian viewers. I simply can't understand what enjoyment they get from such shows...

Yes i agree star one has variety of shows DLMH is a political drama which shows youth into politics and their thinking.GHSP is a struggle of a young small town girl who stood for her self respect against all odds.PKYEK is alo youth entertaining show wid a difference. But star one has very less reach bcz it comes in our locality but my granny stays only 1km away ,they don't get starone. now even elderly people want some change from sas-bahu crap ,kitchen politics and conspiracys. even they want lite hearted shows with some thing new but there is no other go. channels think that many people are seeing this sas-bahu shows so they are also competing with each other making these type of shows that is why many start very gracefully but go off air within six months.I heard SO is also planning sas-bahu shows. If this is the trend of copying and not giving importence to originality then time is no far when TV ALSO FACE THE SAME PROBLEM OF BOLLYWOOD LACKING ORGINALITY. Already reality shows are suffering this problem but it may spread to other TV shows too.
