She cant b shown in western clothes because it will go against her character because as per script they hv already shown her uncomfortable in short dresses ...

So they need to keep the essense of Geet Handa intact here and not make her dress up as Drashti here

So I guess makeover will mean give her a refreshing look and good salwar suits which can nicely fit her body rather than those tents and horrible kurtas😆...mayb cool shiffon sarees and sexy blouse will also do the trick

I think they save sarees for "special" occasions. But some nice salwar suits that actually shows off her figure would be good and do something different with the duppatta.
