2. This post is against the use of TRP/GRP ratings in calculating Show ranks.
1. This is a public forum. It is not officially affiliated to any channel and simply reflects the views/opinions of its members.
2. Only members of this forum are allowed to participate in such things as commenting on topics/articles/celebrity profiles etc.
3.Non members can only view and not participate.
Up until now, these rules made sense and so did CM rating cause it meant that if you really want to influence any rating of any show/actor you have to register and participate actively.
We do make topics and interact to have fun and share opinion regarding the shows, but these kind of ratings encourage healthy competetion and zest on the forum. That is why you see members thronging to their favorite shows'forum and indulge in all kinds of activities. iT was fair game-the cm ratings.
Cause the more you are active and participate, and interact, the higher your show ranks.
now, if this forum, starts including trp/grp ratings to calculate ranks, how is it fair to the members ?
we may put in a lot of effort and enthusiasm into our shows' forum, but lower trp/grp on the national scale will still prove it not enough! Then whats the point of having these sort of competitions on the forum , if the activity of its members figures little in the ranking of a show.
GHSP, ranked high cause its members , are really active and the forum is almost abuzz all hours of the day. It has the highest number of hits and most number of topics. But now we rank lower than shows who have significantly lower activity than us. Just because they have higher trp/grp ratings.
How are we not supposed to feel disheartened then? and whats the point of including such t hings as 'votes', comments, topics etc. Just stop all this and keep the rankings according to trps.😳
Why are votes of people outside this forum being considered? because that is what official trps/grps are. They should not be included in calculations of ranks on this forum. BECAUSE, THIS FORUM REFLECTS, SOLELY,THE OPINIONS AND IDEAS OF ITS MEMBERS. SO only the votes and activities of the members should be taken into account.
There. anther huge bojh off my chest... seriously I am not affected much by rankings but the injustice of the rankings posted today just blew my mind.
