👏 👏 👏 👏 Wow ur symbolisms simply rock. U have explained them so well that now all what u say fits in with the make up. When i saw it I too thought it was a bit too much but after reading ur post I realise that it must be as u have said. And yes Geet will definitely have to work extra hard to bring her Maan out of the deep darkness he has fallen into. Lovely post dear.

I loved your analysis of the symbolism in the promo, especially the contrasts you brought out between light and darkness and how Geet's light has to overcome Maan's darkness. I guess I am the only one though, that really liked it visually as well. It was pretty clear it was supposed to be stylised, dreamlike, and dramatically charged and not realistic so I had no problems with the make-up/light contrast. It is more of a symbol for the weeks to come. While Geet's make-up was a bit costume-y, I kind of loved the lipstick on her. It complemented her confidence in the fact that Maan is incomplete without her and made her look all bright and fiery! I read a post that the promo was meant to be gothic and if that is the case I think they hit the nail on the head, especially with that ornate candelabra!
