Even though a lot of people think that making Dev negative could be interesting, I don't think they will go this way. He is too spineless to do anything so drastic and they have invested too much in his repentance (even from Abhinav Shukla times), forgiveness and reconciliation with Maan and Geet (suffering the wrath of fans everywhere) to throw it all away. But I do think the attacker is a character they are looking to develop, otherwise they wouldn't have hid his face so deliberately. Anyway, they need more characters and subplots so I sense it may be a new entry. Maybe we will find out more when they show Maan being tortured...
