Opti, that was an awesome observation, as always.

Perhaps, you would also like to delve into the dupatta symbolism there and link it up to your analysis. Thus far, we have always seen MSK returning Geet's dupatta to her, signifying that he was restoring or protecting her honour. Yesterday, Geet draped the dupatta around him.

Well, wiser now, I don't think that the GHSP team wanted to convey any such symbolism. But, we can continue to read into the scenes, can't we?

But Maan wouldn't like his petname to be used by others. He only shd call Geet as Mishti no one else should. Even i wdn't like it. He is very private with his romance.

Wow, Medha. Never thought of the dupatta significance. In fact I was amused by that scene that I did not look for a deeper meaning. Yes, it appears symbolic of Geet protecting Maan's honour. I was thinking of the mustard in Geet's provision list which Maan was reading. Maan who is quite versatile in several things, including cooking, is not familiar with such a basic ingredient of Asian cooking, maybe because he is into Italian foood only. Now mustard is used to spice things up. It is known for its pungency. Hence, though it may be small in size, it cannot be ignored. Much like Pammi. She may have been insignificant to Maaneet's life until recently but she has now arrived to spice things up. Maaneet have begun to feel her pungency, which poor Maan was innocent of till yesterday.

Opti, the reference to the mustard seed reminded me of the parable. Quite along your line of thought, it struck me how the smallest of seed (insignificant Pammi) becomes a large tree.

Now, I wonder what would have happened, in Chupke Chupke, if Professor Parimal Tripathi had lost his memory and thought that Sulekha was indeed married to Professor Sukumar Sinha. While I would trust Hrishikesh Mukherjee with this plot, I shudder to think what would happen if anyone else ventured down this path.

By the way, did MSK fold the grocery list and keep it back on his person? If yes, will the grocery list be akin to Cindrella's glass slippers? Will an amnesiac MSK go around hunting for the one who penned the grocery list?

Edit:
@ Opti, Preeti, and Priya: Good day to you all.

I did not observe what Maan did with that grocery list Medha. If it was in his pocket, Pammi mummy would have torn it up I think. By the way, was he wearing the taveez in the precap? Now since Pammi had just arrived she may not know its link to Geet and may not remove it. This could both protect him. He could also have some flashes of someone putting the taveez around his neck but not get to see her face. At some point later when he regains his memory, Taveez could be one of the first things which come to his mind.

Opti, the taveez is likely to be the object that evokes memories of Geet, as it is more likely to survive the exposure to the elements than the paper.

The taveez appeared to be (I did catch a glimpse of the black thread on which it is threaded) around MSK's neck whilst he was being beaten up. And, it features prominently in the Samson-style photographs posted as spoilers.

Dear Medha,

It is nice to see you dazzling today,

And for that I am going to make you pay,

By reading these lines which I call a rhyme,

But everybody knows it is not worth a dime.

I hereby give you the title of the non-spammer of the den,

The most intelligent posts were from your pen,

So what if I had to read one or two of them a couple of times,

They did succeed in blowing off the cobwebs and gave me a shine.

Your memory I marvel at,

Your painstaking logic I look forward to,

Your solid defence of Geet was something I came to adore,

Till we all ate all our words and more

For a conversation that never came ashore

There is nobody more deserving of this status that I know

And so the wishes to you are for dazzling here and beyond this show.

Fair Lady, I am indeed honoured and overwhelmed --
Especially after you constantly hawed and hemmed*,
"I can't rhyme, I just can't", was always your plea, --
That you penned down your first IF rhyme for me.

Well, your words evoked an image of the days of yore,
When, on bended knee, the knight his new title proudly bore,
And, so, graciously accepting the title from you, Fair Lady,
I offer thanks for the appreciation that your words embody.

And, now, that we've got the rhymer in you out of the closet,
If you let it back in, be warned, that, for the poet, we will ferret.
As said a certain Freddy to an Eliza, "You do it awfully well,"
So, welcome, Fair Lady, to the "Rhymers-R-Us" cartel.

*I had to take the liberty of changing the order to make it rhyme.

PS: Thanks so much. I truly appreciate it.🤗

@ Latha: Good day ... and thanks.
