I think it is not some important character which we should know but just a random goon acting at the behest of Pammi.

It could be GC's body double. If they were to show his face, we as fans would recognise him as the dupe and feel amused/irritated that Maan's BD hit Maan. Do you remember how in the KYM they had Milind's BD take Milind (Shabbo) to the hospital after his fall from the cliff?

Seeing Ash's avi, I remember something that I was wondering about yesterday. Did Geet actually dress up Maan? Why did she had to elaborately shut the door? He just had to put on his shirt which he could have done even without shutting the door.

Man is a social animal. While we may like to have our moments of solitude from time to time, it is not natural to want to lead a solitary existence. Man's craving for love and acceptance sets him apart from other animals. Maan was initially shown to be this heartless guy who couldn't care less about what people thought of him. He preferred his own company and no one can make him do things he did not want to do. Geet's entry into his life changed everything. His innate need to be loved and accepted surfaced and Geet more than fulfilled that need. In turn Maan gave Geet an identity. He removed the stigma that a pregnant unwed mother would have by accepting her with her baby and showering all the love she so deserved and was not getting. It is through him that her social standing was raised. She was Maan's Geet. Geet was only too willing to acknowledge Maan's contribution to making her what she is and his importance in her life.


Yesterday was a turning point in the lives of Maaneet in more ways than one. We saw that the tables were turned because this time Maan's identity to those villagers was defined by his association with Geet. It is their love and respect for her that translated in to their concern over his well being. He gained his acceptability into society because of what Geet did for them. He was Geet's Maan. Indeed it is commendable that he not only accepted the reality of the situation of his wife being more popular than him, but he was proud to have such a lovable wife who won her way into the hearts of so many in such a short time.

For a year we have seen Maan save Geet's life and honour. Now we are seeing Geet save Maan's honour and life. And so Maaneet journey continues and we wait in anticipation of another feast for our eyes and hearts.
