Wonderful post loved it, thank you so much and so agree with all your points. My friend just made a similar post and we were discussing all the very points you mentioned.
I was never a soap opera fan but GHSP had me hooked and very soon I realized that I had become addicted to GHSP.
I fell in love with this amazing character Geet and loved the way her character was portrayed also loved the story telling of the show.
Then we got Maan's entry and he soon had us mesmerized, I loved the Maaneet chemistry, I hadn't really seen anything this potent even on big screen. I was so entralled by GHSP but hated the entry of AA and how their track sorta sideline Maaneet.
Just like you we too were intitially disturbed when we heard about how Maaneet will have a MU because of Dev and then seperate but we never believed it cause we believed that the Maaneet love and trust was too strong to have any such issue so we were shocked when it happened.
Even then we took it positively thinking that this will only end up strengthening their relationship and we'll get to see some cute moments with Maan trying to woo Geet back, we never ever expected to see this track dragged so much and we never thought that the CV's would butcher Geet's character.
And just as you said I too am still foolishly hoping that they will show Maaneeet break down in each others arms and talk out all their insecurities, hurt and other emotions, we as fans need to see it happen especially to wash out the bad taste the holi scene has left in our minds.
I just want our Maaneet back 😕

AWWW THANK YOU SOO MUCH DEAR FOR AGREEING WITH THE POINTS I MADE... I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! I GOT HOOKED TO GEET FOR THE SSAME REASONS YOU MENTIONED. THEIR CHEMISTRY IS SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE - ANYWHERE. SMALL OR BIG SCREEN... TO GIVE US SOMETHING SO MAGICAL - AND THEN TO RUIN IT OVER THE STUPIDEST REASONS - IT HURTS. ITS PAINFUL.

NOW I JUST HAVE ONE HOPE - ONE MORE WEEK TO GIVE THE GEET TEAM TO REDEEM THEMSELVES AND FIX THE MESS THEY HAVE MADE.. OTHERWISE IT'S A GOOD BYE FROM ME!!

I know I've just about lost it too, I also agree that they need to have a women's poin of view in this show.
There's one thing that I won't be able to tolerate though if they show a romantic track of Dev, that man needed to be punished it was only because of Geet's love for Maan that he was forgiven but if they portray him as this great character having a romance that would be too much for me to digest.
Let's hope our optimism pays off and we get to see our Maaneet back with a lot of emotion and ofcourse passion😆

Yeah I agree - the only way I can tolerate Dev romance track is --- well so far Nandini is shown as a person who is quick to judge, too clumsy, and makes bad decisions... she hates Dev... and her personality is twitchy like Dev's. With that, dev falling in love with her and her treating him like dirt will be a great journey of redemption and payback for Dev - in God's natural laathi!!! then I wouldnt mind this track. What say? A person doesn't necessarily have to go to jail to be punished right?

Oh I so agree, his humilation would be great punishment, atleast he'll be treated the same way he treated others 😆

exactly - but you are right, that is the only scenario in which Dev romance track would be acceptable! At least in my opinion!!!

Excellently put Dee. In order to make one cahracter shine, it is not necessary to put down the other character. We have seen the CVs repeatedly do this to Geet, especially post Maaneet marriage. The current track has not done much to give us an insight inot the workings of Geet's mind and we want to hear what exactly her thoughts were. Only then the balance can be restored. As you said they stretched this for far too long that any explanation for her behaviour may sound hollow but they can still get her out of the hole they have put her in if they focus on her insecurities. She always felt that she may not match up to him because of her past and it was her past which drove a wedge between them although for completely diffferent reasons. Maan could not digest what Dev did to her and his presence in their house, around her whipped up his own insecurities and disgust for the man.
His helplessness to put him away also made things worse for him. He couldn't confide his feelings to Geet because she herself was recovering from a painful MC but he could not bottle up his feelings any longer after what he heard and witnessed. The words he uttered were harsh and could have triggered Geet's own insecurities in their relationship. Just as Maan could not voice his insecurities, Geet could not voice hers too as she herself is to get a full grip of it. Earlier the baby was a binding factor. With the baby gone, she could wonder whether Maan truly loves her and treats her as his equal. His harping on the differences in their blood and that he cannot care less could have made her feel trully parayi. His question to her as to what magic Dev wove around her could have been taken as a veiled slur on her character although that may not have been Maan's original intention.
While he did ask her forgiveness, he did not until Saturday tell her how much he needs her. Now that he has, this is a perfect opportunity for her to introspect on those words and tell herself, she punished herself and him for so long because she did not know for sure whether he needed her as much as she needed him. She did not want him to accept her because he was obliged to do so, as now she was his wife. She wanted him to accept her because he respected and loved her as much as she loved and respected him. While she saw the extent to which he was willing to go to suffer humiliation to get her back, she was confused as to whether it was his stubborness in not accepting defeat at any cost which prompted him to act this way or he really cared enough for her to do anything to get her back into his lifel, Maan did not help his cause much by saying that he knows she loves him and will come back to him. This to her sounded like his arrogance speaking although it may have just been a statement of fact that he was making.
Now that he himself has so candidly put in words just what she means to him, she has no reason to doubt his love any more and she is willing to accept him back.
It is necessary that Geet voices these thoughts either to herself or to Maan so that her character can be put on track. Human beings are plagued by insecurities. So it is not a big crime that Geet too suffered from her own set of insecurities but this needs to be put up front so that the story can move from there.

I know dear, I'm glad you agree. We really need to hear Geet voice her fears and insecurities to Maan and only then could his whole track make some sense to us and it will also be the stepping stone for Maaneet to move past this MU.
I really hope the CV's don't dissapoint us again and do not continue to ruin the main characters just to further their track. I wanna see the old GHSP magic again hope we get it soon 😊
