Why does Geet have such a big heart for the people she did not love much (Daarji who almost killed her and Dev who almost got her killed) so as to forgive them so easily and not such a big heart for Maan whom she loves and craves for? Why do always the loved ones have to stand the test of time? Why do the loved ones have to bear the brunt for rudeness? I have always heard that it is with the ones you love the most that you can show your anger the best. If they stand above everyone else, why do they have to suffer much more than the ones you don't love?

Also temorocks - regret is not always for something you do....it is also for somethings you don't do. Not to forgive sooner could be a regret, not to acknowledge undying love could be a regret, not being moved by your loved one's suffering could be a regret....If you agree both are at fault, then why not have Geet also repent coz clearly Maan is doing his part. So is it fair to say Geet needs to do the same now...coz both are at fault?

Thank you. A very sensible point you presented. If not for anything else she sure has this to regret for.

Thank you so much for such appreciation. Words indeed make all the difference as my friend Nandita points out always 'wounds heal but words not'. Sad but in process to stand for our point of view regarding some fictional characters we end up hurting real people and not feel sorry. I am so glad I actually summed up courage to make this post, it was hard since I dint want to regret have shared my views. Thank you for responding and making things smooth for me.

that is so true...Maan has always put his hurt his feelings aside and put Geet first...he even told her that she will always come first in his life....even during the MC...he put his hurt... his feelings....his sadness aside...to try to help Geet....he knew he had to hide his feelings to get Geet out of her sadness...and he did....everything he does is for her....for them....and it seems everything she does is for her....it seems like she needs to be reminded that before marriage everything was about her...but now it is about them....not him or her....them....

Yes she is some what not able to come out of that 'self' thing. So she was awestruck to know that to him its she first.

Edit - I think her physical senses attune them to his presence but her brains cells force her to keep at bay. Can we say it's a war between heart and mind? Although it doesn't make sense because her heart does not want him but her mind (controlled by her senses) want to be in his presence. Does this even make sense?

Dol Dear, It looks like a war between heart and head, where hot head has the upper hand right now. Definitely, her hot head overrules her aching heart to the extent that she is numb to the bleeding of her own heart. I think her heart wants him, but her hot-headed ego / self-respect suppresses that heart like fire made dormant by too much smoke. No wonder she can't see beyond herself when she is blinded thus by the smoke of self-pity. Otherwise why can she not be happy for doing the right thing as per her, i.e. leaving him and not forgiving him? Why is she in so much pain that not even the basic needs like hunger stir her? That shows her heart is wailing, and is held an unfortunate prisoner by her stubborn head. And now, it takes her hero to release it from its prison. That is the way I see it.

I personally have tuned off and watch the show by sheer force of habit......so, yesterday's episode didn't really make any impact on me except for the Maan-Lacchi scenes!

I never pondered on the scene in Maan's room till I read your post, TM!

Till then, all I remember is an angry Geet and a full-to attitude wallah Maan. It all looked very superficial to me and I put it down to the cvs catering to the audiences wishes....they do that sometimes, I'm learning now.

But, I guess for the more discerning viewers like yourself, it must have touched a raw nerve.....and now that you've pointed it out, my nerves are also protesting. The conversation was quite banal and was a repetition of what Maan said in the market-place, for one. Geet's reaction to Maan's current state is inexcusable in the real world. She never even glanced at the poor guy's plate. Never gave a thought to his current surroundings and felt bad about it......I repeat, that would be the case in a real and ideal world.

But in the reel world that we live in, I guess what was shown was acceptable........maybe the reason why the camera panned maan's body so lovingly was for the very reason that you find objectionable. The point probably was for Geet's physical senses to be awakened.....she's kept her emotional one on deep-freeze for a while.....a physical jhatka was what was need at the moment.

I think when she gets back to her room, Maan's plight will definitely be on her mind and give her a sleepless night rather than her awakened senses.
