On Zing interview, he does sound like a really down to earth person, but some of his answers I don't agree with! I've seen the personal life in media too many times!

Ram Sita ke jodi mein Lakshman kaun?

Yesterday when Opti pointed out the significance of the colours of the clothes Maan and Geet were wearing, it got me thinking. Maan was in a grey shirt and Geet in green even in the conference scene when Geet releved to Maan about the occurrances in her life and then decided to go away from him. And they were in the same coloured outfits yesterday when Maan was looking for Geet and she refused to go with him. Sheerly in terms of colors too, it was a loop closure thinking from the aspect of who was chasing whom.

But the other important factor to note is Adi.That day Geet used the help of Adi to reach out to Maan and make him see things for what they are. And now, it looks like Maan will use Adi's help to reach out to Geet. In almost every instance when Maaneet have been helped by an external party in their relationship, it has been Adi. Makes me wonder, is he the Lakshman for this Ram-Sita jodi?

Since my own mind has gone into hibernation, here is something I'd like to share of another's thoughts. I'm taking the liberty to do so without Medha's consent. Hope she does not mind.

Medha and I have been PMing each other about the symbolisms in the show. Reading my fire and glass analogy , she had this to say.

Having pondered over your reasoning for why they chose fire and glass, I would add that maybe another way of looking at the glass and fire symbolism is that the glass (Geet's heart) will have to be melted and remoulded by the fire (of Maan's penance) for it to be fully mended again. It is only in this that her heart will become whole again. As you said, it would be more likely that he would attempt to glue back the broken pieces of glass. Yet, that would leave behind the scars of restoration. I know that this is what happens in real life. But, in the fiction that is GHSP, maybe we hope for the glass to be smelted and remoulded again so that her heart is made whole again?

When I expressed doubts as to whether they will make Maan suffer anymore considering that there is already unrest regarding how much he is already suffering, she had this to say.

Opti, you're right. Walking over hot coals was probably the extent of his penance. That done, he is now set to win back his wife. Unless we count having to live under a false identity (for a man who prides himself on being Maan Singh Khurana) and having to constantly live a lie (for a man who never told an untruth) as fitting penance for his actions this time around, we may not get anything more.

Well, in a lighter vein, to be kind to him, we can acknowledge that he now has to perform Bhangra (for a man who can twirl his woman around with ease in any western dance, but is awkwardness personified in a Bhangra. Well, actually his Bhangra steps should be a dead give-away for Geet, if she were to fail to recognise him) and also subject himself to the noisy environs of Geet's maternal family (for a man who prefers the silence of solitude).

Now isn't that a fresh way to look at Maan's aka Balwant's role? Kudos to Medha.
