Well, first of all,let me clear that i do not intend to bash any actor or character. but , being a member of a free forum, i guess, i have the freedom to express my disappointment at the treatment of a particular subject by the cvs.
Geet forgave Dev. although, personally, i am against that forgiveness, becoz i feel Dev's sin was unworthy of forgiveness.......well, even then, i leave the issue at that. i have read many posts where some have supported geet for her decision while some have not. but what has left me absolutely shocked , in fact horrified, was yesterday's precap. Geet smiling and allowing Dev to put colour on her face and herself putting tika on his forehead- well, thats appalling. Now, let me clear that i am not bashing the actress who plays the role of geet here, i know it was the script and hence i blame the cvs. but it is only natural for a viewer to be angry with the character Geet because everyday,on our tv screen, we see these characters and get attached to them.perhaps if the cvs had come on screen and read out the scripts instead of airing the episode, we would have been angry with the cvs only. people must understand that when i am blaming geet, it is in fact the cvs that i am referring to becoz geet is a fictional character created by them.

Well, now back to the topic-i feel what geet was shown to be doing in the precap was absolutely wrong.Even after forgiving Dev,she should have been indifferent to her, and if i am not wrong, i guess many of the people who supported the decision of forgiving Dev wanted her to remain indifferent and not behave in such a manner as was shown. My question to the cvs- why have u decided to butcher Geet's character to such an extent? aren't u sending out the wrong message?what happened to all those promos about geet being the ideal woman?or are u trying to say that an ideal woman is someone who not only forgives her sinner whole-heartedly but maintains a friendly relation with him as well?
even if geet is shown to be doing it under dadi's pressure or to make dadi happy, this is wrong. Under no circumstances, i repeat-no circumstances should such a scene have been shown.

Finally, i feel bad for maan. any other man in his place also would have reacted in a similar way and this is maan we r talking about- who loves geet more than anything else .His anger will be justified now.

pls give ur opinions also.

Love your posts babes. I agree with everything you wrote. Firstly, no one would ever forgive their rapist in real life, but since she wants to move on and forget all the past its ok. What CVs showed in the precap was tooooo much. Even if she forgives him she needs to be in her limits. How the hell she can allow Dev to put rang on her b4 the hubby and putting tikka on Dev was far toooooooooo much.😡Both Deveet are giving rise to Maans anger. Even if he says harsh words i guess its justified. I still wish tht precap part is someones imagination. Whats wrong with you CVs??????????

The perfect example of ideal woman was geet in hoshiarpur who did her duties well
1. as a daughter she obeyed her parents and agreed for marraige
2. as a wife she kept full trust on her husband although he cheated her
3. as a mother she fought with the world for her child
4. as a woman she stood against honour killing
5. Kshamayadarithri- she proved that by forgiving dev

but behaving friendly against her husband's will ....................no not at all acceptable.........She is not the same geet anymore which i had so much respect and admiration😒

Hey, one question, why Geet has to be ideal? Why can she not make mistakes like a normal human? To Err is human... Firslt, she has not started celebrating holi happlily with Dev. She has just put a tilak for formality sake and it may not be best thing to do.. specially keeping the past in mind.. but its not a blunder. People make much bigger mistakes and get away..

Only God is perfect and no one else.. Even Lord Ram made a mistake by sending Sita out when some one said bad about her and then demanded Agnee Pareksha when she came back later... So even God made mistake when he played human..

why geet has to be ideal?
well, i never said that geet has to be ideal, the cvs said that.so its better u ask this question to the cvs.
making mistakes is something else, but allowing dev to put colour on her and putting tika-is not just a small mistake unknowingly done!
u say she has not been shown happily playing holi with dev-well perhaps u missed the smile on her face when dev put the colour on her face and again when she put the tika on his forehead.if it was a formality, her facial expressions would have been different.

lastly, Lord Ram and Sita were in a totally different context, Lord Ram knew Sita was innocent, but he had to do it as a King. i will not go into all that now, as i feel this example is not at all applicable in this case.

I understand your POV :))

But Geet was not to be an ideal woman- she was to be an inspiring one.

After breaking bonds with her past, she put teeka on dev's forehead as a wife would to her hubby's brother.

If she's to live in the same house as him, she needs to make him aware she has no grudges with the past..

I would have said they looked like bhabhi-devar..:)
nothing else..and while we all may hate dev, and yes i do too and there are v few things i would like more than seeing dev turn negative or be kicked by Maan...and slapped by Geet.. the point is that she has forgiven him..

She cannot take it back..lol..and it will be some time before maan and all of us come to terms with that..

She wasn't being a devi when she forgave him..she just is tired of holding on..
the putting colour part- i would have loved a maneet holi but dev is a khurana- maan himself has said so, and as a part of that household, as a part of that family and by virtue of being maan's brother, geet is simply moving on- into her role as a wife..

As a woman, she took the decision of forgiving, now she's creating a new life with maan's family..

I guess i'm not very convincing and yes, it took me some time to come to terms with it..but i don't think her character is completely butchered :)

CV's- well the execution has been pretty awful for what they wanted to portray so let the cv-bashing continue..LOL
