Great post. Somewhere along the line GHSP has become more of a lovestory betwen Maan-Geet and Arjun-Annie. What happened to Arjun wanting to fight for his sister. Why aren't they showing a confrontation between Arjun and Dev. Also arjun wanted to take revenge on Maan for his sister's sake - what happened to that. Arjun knew that Geet in hospital and lost her baby - how come they did not show his reaction to know whose baby it was and how geet had conceived Dev's baby. So many loopholes. The serial is continuing coz of us fans who have remained faithful to the serial Dev's police case is still pending - what of that. In newspapers u come around incidents where the rapists agrees to marry the victim as a repentance for his deeds.....i hope we don't have to see that too in GHSP

@Jhanvi-jokes apart....why are women always shown to be the losers on tv? Why for once, couldn't they do something different? They have been carrying off very differently so why not even now? Why didn't they continue to go in a unique way? 😭

An excellent post after ages. This show has really taken the mickey of women and women's rights. Message of the show- not only is it ok to commit a crime, it is also ok for the crime to be forgotten and forgiven and worse still for no one around to be bothered about justice.


While I understand the need to forgive, which Geet needed to do for her own sake, I can't stomach the friendship that she seems to be showing Dev (at least that's what I understood from the precap they showed last night). How could she be shown to forget the fact that what Dev and NT did was a criminal act?
Why couldn't she have told him that her forgiveness did not include friendship and forgetting the crime against her? There was a post made a few weeks ago on a similar vein titled 'I feel slighted as a woman' by Janvis70, which I felt was so apt at that time. After yesterday's precap, I feel not just slighted, I feel positively insulted by what is happening.


So now all the Dev maharajs of this world can happily carry on committing such crimes in the knowledge that they can get away with it. Afterall, the NTs of the world are conveniently there to take the blame. What a shameful message this show is giving to its viewers.

The other thing that I find very grating is Maan's mad idea that a baby would bring happiness to their lives. Why do Indian TV shows equate marital happiness with having kids within minutes of tying the knot!?! Why can't he and Geet want her to to be educated, become a lawyer and fight for justice for herself and for other women like herself? That would be such a positive message.

Thanks for expressing so well the thought that is running through the minds of the women, young and old, who've been watching this show not just for the fabulous relationship between the main characters but also for its initial promise of bringing justice to an innocent victim. What has happened to that initial intention of the show? it is such a pity that it has become something else now.
Or may be we are all entirely mistaken and justice is on its way. Who knows? Or who cares apart from viewers like ourselves who have invested so much of our emotions on this show and its beautiful but flawed protagonists.
