@usha..thanks for clearing that hun....i was wondering why i came out cribbning after watching KANK..and went all awwww when i saw Falling in Love............when both dealt with the same subject............i agree even my die hard romanticism is limited to M&Bs and movies which i know will either end in 100 pages or 2 hours........and things are simple in it........whereas in practical life love ,lust ,desire is just a part not the whole ........what we as woman seek is security both emotionally and financially.........

My thoughts on why Geet is not a weak heroine, GHSP is not a saas bahu show and such like...

About Geet being a weak lead- I don't know how this got propogated- she is as strong as they come. She stood up to Maan, did not hesitate from publicly humiliating him when she thought he had betrayed her trust (In Oct/Nov)....even now- what do you expect her to do? Walk out of the house? Did she give into Dev blindly? No she did not! infact if you recall her self-talk from that scene- she clearly said that she expected Dev to act only in his selfish self interests....
With regards to Geet, I think we need to put ourselves in her shoes and look at the situation. I think the answer to today's situation lies in the question that Dev asked Geet when he bumped into Geet just before the failed engagement- What is more important to Geet - her hatred for Dev or her love for Maan? I think she made a choice in Oct when she chose the former and this time around she chose the latter when she went up with folded hands to Dev to plead for Maan's life. Does that make her weak? I think not! Infact it shows immense strength of character.
Geet has always placed a lot of importance on honesty as trust and especially since MSK said that those two define love for him. We have always seen her out of sorts every time she has to hide something from Maan. Infact both of them suck at hiding stuff from each other. Isnt it the hypocrisy of the viewers- that when Maan hid the abstinence bit from Geet, he was MaanGod in the viewers eyes while Geet is tagged as weak and without a backbone.
Why is she putting up with Maan's boorish behavior, is a more relevant question to ask in my opinion. If my partner had screamed at me the way Maan did when Geet brought him soup, I would have probably thrown the soup in his face and walked away. Now why Geet did not do that- if we ask that then we also need to ask why Geet did not slap him after Kurban hua or all the other times Maan was rude to her- because even then her self esteem was at stake. She took it lying down more times than she responded or stood upto Maan. I guess this track is going to bring out the darker shades of MSK's character- while we all know that he wouldn't intentionally harm even a hair on Geet's head- but he is man consumed by his passions- and acts in haste to repent at leisure. Right now he is bewildered by Geet's show of concern to her tormentor- in his mind it doesn't make any sense at all. Now whether its his deep rooted insecurities or something else- we will get to know as the show unfolds.
Why is Geet giving into Dadi's emotional blackmail- I agree even I did not like that.,..but then isn't manipulation second nature to all of us- we do say and do things which would help further our cause.......Dadi hit Geet where she knew it would hurt- Maan! And Geet already feels that Maan is alienated from all he loves and holds dear because he chose to support her (remember the conversation just before Maahi Maahi)...so when Dadi threatened to walk out with Dev- she chose to stay quiet for the moment as both Maan and Dev are still recovering.
Regarding Dadi's behavior- while you are amazed that Dadi forgave Dev so easily...I am amazed that she took so long (finding a replacement for the actor may have had something to do with it). Blood is thicker than water-in her mind Dev has repented for his sins and she doesn't even hold Dev responsible- it was NT who led Dev astray (you and I may differ and rightly so....but she doesn't think Dev is at fault entirely or that he is the bigger culprit.). When Geet can forgive Daarji in a matter of minutes- why cant Dadi forgive Dev? They may or may not condone what he did..>Dadi did let NT and Dev get arrested from her own house- but would she have turned out her injured grandson- I dont know about that
What happened between Arjun and Anwesha was consensual sex- that will not count as rape in any court of law. She is an adult and she has a right to choose whomsoever she wishes to sleep with. It may be against our moral code- but I don't think Rape is the word for it even in that case.
We the viewers have been lusting after Arjun's blood-in Annie's mind she holds him no ill-will for sleeping with her. She has not dwelt on it even once. I think one of the problems with the show is that there is a diverse viewer base and each of us is projecting our own expectations onto the show....
In India there are lots of women in their early twenties who are married- have kids-and in law woes as well- now if they are watching this show- does that mean its become a saas bahu show? Geet is married and she is staying with Maan's family- I don't think they have even shown any conflict with Dadi so far- I do not understand why we think that GHSP has become a saas bahu show!

Sun- After their night stand, I think KJO messed up the entire film.😳 Only thing I liked there was Abhishek moved on and did not accept Rani.. on the other hand, Priety was still a single mother. A lady cant get over the deceit so easily. 😔

BTW.......u must have seen that most of the devils loved or liked the epi😆..so do watch it if u get time haan...😳.... Angry MSK / GC was a treat to watch😛
