Geet's Character Transition

I remember Geet when she was at HP as a shy and timid girl, speaking softly and only when she was asked. She was the eldest daughter of the family and she knew her responsibility.

Life took a different turn'. Her parents wanted to marry her but she wanted to do something in her life and wanted to study'.but no one heard her voice.. Only her father who understood her aspirations.. He consoled her that she can do what she wants when she goes to Canada. But fate had decided something else for her, she was married and then left by her husband' When she came to know about the kid'she fought the world.. I saw lot of maturity in her the way she understood her feelings for the kid..her responsibility'and she took one major decision of her life.. to move out of her parents life.. but then ensured her brother is jailed..

She came to Delhi.. This was first time she was alone but she was never scared.. she wanted to live on her own terms and she was matured enough to understand that bringing child will not be easy.. but she took each challenge life gave her.. she knew her struggle.. and I could see lot of maturity in her..

Then She met Maan.. who helped her to stand on her own.... he was her mentor guide and savior.. and she could not escape.. she had fallen in love again' she didn't wanted to be in love again.. as she had bigger responsibility.. but when she saw the immense love in Maan's eyes.. , she could not run away.. She took a major decision' she decided to marry again. I saw lot of maturity in the character.. in spite of all what she faced.. she decided to trust love again'and get married.

After marriage.. I see..She is very happy.. She has got what she deserved'..but.. the beautiful Geet of HP.. who was matured..who understood life.. who never use to speak much.. is she the same Geet now'.? Has marriage changed her so much'..she is now non stop MP3.. she thinks less.. speaks more..and takes unrealistic decision.. more childish'unnecessary fights.....

So I am getting confused'.. Is this the same Geet I was in love with?

........ why can't Geet behave normally? Have U guys noticed that Geet has suddenly become like those nagging aunts...a typical punjabi bhu/masi chatter box. She has nothing but to shout at Maan on some pretext....even when Daadi is not around. Well they not they can't get physical for medical reason...what's the big deal yaar....this happen...it is so normal. They can hug and caress each other even a kiss won't harm the baby. They can behave like they used to before marriage. Then also they were restraining themselves without making it too obvious. About Geet...I love her baby faces and tantrums. I love the current track also but not the execution of the track. I only want her to tone down as Dee said. She need to be more in control and balanced....She is going to be a mother. She is no longer an 18 years old girl who needs 100% attention. She should understand when Maan needs to work and when enjoy.

Come on yaar if she wants to be with Maan all the time she can help him in his work...be at home or in the office.

We have seen such composed, docile and elegant side of Geet before marriage...what has made her exactly the opposite."

"Yeah I too feel Geet is shown as this silly nagging wife all of a sudden......I'm not very happy about it......a little Nhok-Jhok and naughtiness is fine but it sometimes borders on nagging and silliness and that's not very appealing......

Also could never understand why couldn't they share the correct reason for not consummating their marriage with Daadi.......she's aware of everything and is shown as a modern broadminded and understanding person......so why all this drama......wouldn't it be better to just tell her the truth instead of getting her worried everytime she sees these two argue.........the CV's are sometimes quite silly and illogical....& weren't Geet and Maan asked to go for a follow-up checking.......couldn't they just do that....."

when they come back from the surprise also maan forgot but geet lied just to put up a show in front of dadima that their nok jhok is still continuing ... while maan totally forgot that ... here later on geet makes him understand why she did that ...

Most of the time I love her sweet, innocent antics. Maybe DD carries it off really well, so I don't blame Geet! 😃 However the other day when she was speaking to the London client I could not relate to it as Geet was never shown contempt for work! So I was a bit shocked by her behaviour.

I haven't seen Geet from the HP days. I have started watching it from the office days. She was talkative and bubbly at that time, so to me not much difference maybe the tone is slightly higher nowadays.

Yes.. there are many such incidences..

I kind of understand where your coming from but I disagree. The old geet that was shown in HP in the first episode is the similar to the geet now.

At the start when geet was forced into marriage we saw a geet who everyone thinks was mature but I thought the geet we saw then was a helpless girl who was abused on a daily basis and when she got married to dev she trusted him to give her a life that she imagined but when he left I saw a girl who was hurt whose heart was broken into tiny pieces and you could see this in her behavior. eg: Her retaliation towards everything that her family wanted and she thought was wrong clearly showed that. Then she found out about the baby and we saw her being scared again for her child's life and then we saw her take a brave leap in her life when she came to delhi(I think this wouldn't have been possible without maan's harsh words of reality)

The geet I see now is a geet who has been given freedom for the first time and she is enjoying it.She seems like a child whose parents have gone on holidays but I think that anyone would act like she does if they have a strict family whose strictness is lifted upon them all of a sudden.

But in saying the above I do agree with you that geet taking maan's phone and talking to client in that manner was a bit rude but we can see that now she isn't scared anymore and is at last free of that prison she used to live in.

Yes.. u can say this.. this is the only reason which can support her character changes.. but I am not liking it... She is not the Geet.. I love.
