Helloo Nissar, CVs Barry, friends et al...busy partying at Maaneet's wedding... so late in penning my take today ;)

There is one last mandaraata hua saaya in Maaneet's life after Brij and HP… the Damocles Sword…save baby or save Geet. Fortunately doc gives permission to continue with the festivities and check back after a few days. Seems like the CVs want to tackle this puzzle on another day. Good thinking. Par lagta hai SR gayi tel lagaane…for now.

Arjun- NE

Anj – u r right, CVs are back to P&P. Arjun is essaying Mr Wickham. What else can Arjun's maksad be ? Marry NE and get a share in the Khurana business. But please CVs not another pregnancy track. What kind of a message are u sending out this time…that once u r 18, independence can go take a hike, find a guy and get pregnant ? No, not again. Find something new and creative for NE-Arjun.

Maan's dilemma

I truly feel for him … how much more will he now be tested ? Nice dialogues Barry. Maan's new mission is now to keep Geet happy. Aapke saath hote huey mere daaman mein sirf khushiyaan ho sakti hai. Aww loved the forehead kiss :))

Varmaala

The black knight looks sharp in his black sherwani.

Here comes the bride !!! Wow, Geet, u look stunning ! Maanisha, Adi, Romeo and Pandeyji bring in the bride. Maan's only got eyes for her….and she for him. Maan looks like the dashing Prince in his shewani and pheta. It was good to see Arjun smiling too. Loved the way Adi n gang trick Geet when she tries to put the maala on Maan. At the 3rd try, Maan gives in to her discomfort and gussa, bows his head in reverence to her love for him and accepts the varmaala. Very touching scene. Maan is lost in his Mishti.

Tit for tat….now its Maan's turn to be sitting duck…lol. Bridesmaids bhi kuch kam nahin. I think Maan won hands down in this war…the way he distracts Geet and puts the varmaala around Geet.

Photographer nikla badaa shaukeen …DDLJ poses and all….lol ! Very entertaining. Maan ne bhi chance liya to sneak off with his bride for a few stolen moments, aadhi shaadi jo ho chuki. Hubby Maan is also getting more confident and dare we say, bold ? Even Geet closes her eyes in anticipation of a kiss…naah, Maan's upto his tricks again…lol !

Now why was Maaneet's romantic scene interspersed with NE-Arjun …what a turnoff. '…jo mein karnaa chaahta hoon wo kar liya (ensnare NE?) uske baad tumhare paas pachtaane ke alawaa kuch bhi nahin bachega….aur tumse zyaada pachtaayega tumhara bhai' Me thinks at the end of this cycle, Arjun will be the one jo sabse zyaada pachtaayega.

Nissar, maybe the new title should be : Geet…kaun sabse pachtaayega? GHSP to GKSP?

Loved the wedding scenes. Maaneet make a very handsome couple…God Bless.

Nissar and team – after a long, winding, eventful Maaneet journey, thank you for fulfilling our aadha wish today…aadhi shaadi jo hui hai.

Until tomorrow…

Long hours at the den is having a serious effect on my work efficiency. I could barely keep my eyes open in the office. So will hit the bed earlier than usual. Here is my take which is restricted to Maaneet scenes as I couldn't care less about the NE couple.

Just watched the rerun and certain things struck me which did not the first time around.

- Doctor's advise to abort the baby to save Geet's life throws Maan again in a quandary. A man who never hesitates to make any decision and stick by it falters when it comes to Geet. Geet is his biggest strength but is also his biggest weakness. We saw him in an earlier instance praying that the burden of choosing between Geet and the baby be taken away from him.

We saw a near repeat of this today. Although he did not explicitly say so, he was asking the doctor whether the decision can wait. He definitely must be hoping that he does not have to make that hard choice ever. But if he does have to choose would he choose Geet over her baby? That is the million dollar question and the answer to that is given in the very next frame of the scene.


When Geet regains consciousness and calls out to him. He rushes to her and is concerned about the single tear she sheds saying that she should not waste her precious tears anymore because everything of her is going to be his and that tear is way too precious for him. What does this imply? He just cannot afford to let go of the baby no matter what is the circumstance because he knows that Geet will not shed just one tear drop but countless ones. Can he really see her do so? Certainly not.


Moreover by stating that everything that is hers will be his, he implies that the baby is as much his as it is hers. So he will not give up on it. So what will he do then? I wish to see him move heaven and earth to keep them both alive. He can bring in the best medical specialists, make any amount of sacrifice, shake the gods of all religions - all to hold on to the two most precious things in his life- his wife and his baby.


- Varmala scene - Apart from the fun element of it all, I thought there was some symbolism in the actions. When Geet approaches Maan to garland him he is lifted up high. Have we not seen enough of the pompous Maan with a king size ego? In fact that is his hallmark. He is elevated to this high position by the people around him and he enjoys it because we see Maan smiling proudly. Geet tried once, then twice. The third time she pretended to give a damn about him and what do we see? Maan meekly bend his head to get the garland much to Geet's delight. So unless he bends and matches her level, she will not oblige him.


Coming to Geet, we see her friends pulling her away. Have we not seen enough of the flight prone Geet? She was always trying to escape his overtures, weighed down as she was by her past. What does Maan do? He appears to withdraw, leaving her confused and when she least expected it, he garlands her in one swift and forceful move. This shows that their union will always retain its freshness because Maan always will keep sweetly surprising her.


As though he was not done with the surprises, he whisks her away from the crowd, which was distracted by the photo shoot, to have his last private moments as a lover before he turns husband. Maan had earlier mentioned that they always manage to find their private space even in the midst of people (the first bath tub scene). Today was no different.



Although Geet initially resists him, she soon falls prey to his charms. Man oh man, does our Maan know how to seduce his girl. He makes love with his sexy eyes. When his eyes caress her lips, she gets transported to another world altogether. We have seen Geet totally out of control around him when he is at his seductive best and she keeps leaning in for the alluring yet elusive kiss. So Maan has some surprise for her. What is it going to be? He put his hand behind his back and was reaching for something. Would he sprinkle water from the flower vase placed there or is there a hidden gift behind the vase? We'll have to wait till tomorrow to see that.

I donot care about the CON. The baby has to stay and marriage must happen without any more twist!!!

u know guys I was thinking, these guys have been shooting for wedding for quite some time now! Dont u think their clothes are smelly by now...ewwwwwwww!
