Haven't seen the episode, I cannot comment. However, the update and the reactions here indicate that it was wonderful.

Re the non-actor, it appears that the CVs have decided to ignore our mass protests. It might be a good idea to graciously return the favour and ignore the scenes and refuse to comment on them. If required at all, we should make only the most oblique reference to the scenes.

For instance:

During the sangeet, a skit was played out with Romeo providing the running commentary and Adi having to be the prompter. A dance was on the song "Chal pyaar karegi?"
