A chat with Drashti Dhami aka Geet of Star One's new show Geet Hui Sabse Parayi..

She candidly tells how she has been dodging her mother's many attempts at getting her married and how the reason for that is not her boyfriend!

What is your idea of marriage?
My idea of marriage is lots of love with lots of responsibilities. It's a huge commitment and I'm not ready for that yet (laughs). And my idea of an in ideal marriage would be Monday to Friday with mummy and Saturday –Sunday with hubby!

What about home turf? Are you under pressure to get married?
Yes, I'm 26 and like any other mother my mom is after me to get married. The typical…MBA pass, NRI etc. but I just put it off.

So are you unhappy with you working and putting off marriage?
No, my mom is happy to see me onscreen (smiles).

Are you seeing someone?
Noooo…I don't have a boyfriend!

After MJHT, it's Geet now to turn animated !

The loyal viewers of the current popular show - 'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi' have a reason to rejoice. Soon a stylished 30 minute animated version will entertain everybody based on mainly two characters from the show - Maan and Geet played by Gurmeet Chaudhary and Dhristi Dhaami respectively.

The feature is been directed by Varun Mehta . We contacted him to know more about this and he confirmed - "Yes we are working on Geet - Animated Feature . Our First look has received a great response and We are looking for some more great creativity ahead" So does that mean its the end for the Animated Version of Miley Jab Hum Tum which was announced earlier? "Not at all ! It will take time. But we will not dissapoint anyone" - said Varun.

But What's The Real Purpose of creating these animations? Do they carry any importance? - 'Yes Of Course' ! Our motive is to attract youth based audiences towards animation Where big animated films are losing all hopes. We want to raise a new standard by this effort and soon our hardwork shall pay off. Commenting on the response, Varun said - 'Yes we are happy that the response that we received, Geet promo has received great reviews and comments Where as Miley Jab Hum Tum has been consistent. Though we expected much more from the latter but still we are fine how it shaped up. The only problem we face are the fan requests asking for their own shows to be animated and its hard to dissapoint them. The Animated Feature of Geet shall be premiered probably next year 2011.

Is it back to square one for Maan and Geet?

It was a painfully long two weeks for the fans of Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi on StarOne, as the lovers Maan and Geet parted ways due to misunderstandings. Geet accuses Maan of wanting to marry her for the sake of supporting his brother and not his love in order to protect his family honour. An ugly showdown later, Geet walks out on Maan challenging him that she can survive and make it on her own. Maan however is so hurt that he decides to prove to she needs him at every stage, and hence buys the paint company she gets hired into. What follows is a series of hardships the estranged lover puts his lady love through. The show reached a highpoint this week when Maan decides to make Geet realise he doesn't need her and hence throws a party. At the party, he ends up handling her roughly as he wants to get a reaction out of her.Geet slaps him in self defence and that's from where the story takes a new turn.

Burdened by guilt that they have hurt one another without meaning to, Maan and Geet decide to apologise to each other. They manage to do so as well, and Maan reinstates Geet at his old office Khurana Constructions. Friday nights episode showcased Maan deciding to let go of his ego and finally succumb to his true feelings that come tumbling out as he sees her in pain. Like always he lands there in time to save her.

So does this mean Geet is walking back into Maan's life once more? Will the two get engaged this time at least? Speculation are also doing the rounds that marriage might be on the cards. But is the audience ready to see their favourite couple married, or do they want the misunderstandings to be cleared first?

There were so many questions in the minds of the audience that we decided to directly get in touch withSwati Pande the writer of the show, and she seemed to agree with us as well, as she replied ... "yes there has been too much angst lately .. we certainly have some good times ahead on the show. She further added that they are working on the future track at the moment as nothing as been concretely decided"

On that note, we at TellyTadka, rejoice over the fact that the wishes of the fans are coming true and we look forward to see how Maan and Geet get together in the near future.
