They call me beautiful - the Queen of flowers

Am irresistable when wet with dewy showers

All regal in my pink flowing gown

Looking at me, out goes the frown

I am the eternal symbol of friendship and love

That's why I was made by the Lord above

He gave me a castle all green and lovely

And posted several guards around me

For this Queen he posted soldiers here

Who are fiercely protective with their spear

You have to careful to pluck me and have me

These thorny soldiers will always suround me

I am present wherever there is grandeur

I lend my cheer to a King, pauper and seer

My fragrance mingles and spreads through the air

To bring a smile on the lips of a maiden fair.

@Dew...hiya! Wondering that myself...when are you guys online? Are most of you Desh-side or States-side? I live in the US and am here during the day and evening US time.

@Shelly...how are you? Seeing you post after a while! I'm Jaya BTW. I struggling with this myself. I am a story & screenplay crazy person and something about Geet attracted me enough to be quite consumed by it. Then the writing starting going haywire and now I cannot relate to the characters at all. There a few decent scenes this week but I am finding it hard to watch an episode completely. For e.g there was a hug today that is being hailed by everybody but it did not connect with me at all. Anyway...I am enjoying Maryada...but that is not everybody's cup of tea...or coffee...😆. I miss loving Geet...🤔

Hello Ladies.....some very nice verses here.... enjoyed reading them. It is great to see Usha, Sia and Shelley back.

@Jaya - we are in the same boat. I have not given up on Geet but the connection is lost. I am in the US Pacific time zone and earlier I used to reach home from work, grab a cup of chai and go watch the episode online. I do not do that any more and just watch it as and when time permits.

I watch the US episodes of Maryada on TV and we are behind India by a week. The other serial I enjoy watching is Sasural Genda Phool. It is light and fun and I watch it without analyzing it - just go with the flow of the episode and the dynamics of the characters.

My observation is that it is easier for a serial to keep a tightly woven storyline and screenplay if there are strong parallel tracks running with different characters. If the actors portraying the supporting characters are good and carve a niche for themselves with a strong script, the balance can be maintained. However, if all the pressure to deliver is only on the main leads, things start falling through the cracks.

Hi Jaya, I remember our conversations before...got busy with work and family but missed the forum. The last few weeks the show has been all over the place. It's like the CVs don't know where to go next with the story. I was getting whiplash from the speed with which they were changing locations and story from buying the paint shop to diwali party to pool party to disco type setting to back to the paint shop and now Khurana constructions! That is quite the journey for a 30 minute soap in a week or so.

I am actually tired of Geet falling and landing right in Maan's arms. How many times can they play with that...In all my life I have never fallen and somehow landed perfectly is a gorgeous man's arms. If I fall, it is usually on my butt with no man in sight to save me.

All that aside I know I am shallow (ok very shallow) because Mr Beautiful's concern for Geet today sucked me back in. Today I was reminded that I am not watching these shows for good story-lines or great editing or plots or any such thing. I am watching so that I can see beautiful brownish people, wearing beautiful clothes, glimpses of India and most important hearing the beautiful language so eloquently spoken.

Next week Maan may again hate Geet and I will be back to complaining about the lack of romance and critiquing the show. I may even go out there and try Maryada that everyone is raving about....although I can't get hooked on another show I have no time to fit it in...

@shelly - I concur on all accounts. Being another very shallow person, I consider myself officially sucked back in to Maaneetland. I'm a happy girl today. Shallow, but happy.

ps - I watched a bit of Maryada last night. Could probably watch that too if I had time. It was kinda hard to follow with my limited Hindi knowledge - although there was one not so unfortunate looking guy on there and I could find myself getting distracted very easily... SQUIRREL!

@Shelly & Tammie...turncoats...😆. For me the crappy 2 weeks made too much of a difference for a single episode to fix. That said...if they put out a continuous week of good screenplays, I will be back on the bandwagon...cheerleader outfit on and pom poms in hand!

Watched Fri's epi somehow.. had to manage since dont have my TV and Net connection as of now.. but Arwen strongly recommended..

My take, not bad at all.. she said Geet is back, I agree.. the chemistry was back too..

Even yday was ok, I always believed, NT brings the zing back, love her pitted against Maan.. actually, you always need a strong negative against Maan, (earlier it was Brij, whom I still miss).. to bring the best out in him.. coz he is so strong himself, he shines when pitted against absolute evil. 😃
