May I congratulate you on the acknowldgement given by the CVs to the 3 IDIOTS FAMILY
the CVs have shown today that they appreciate you and your comments, that they understand that you are viewers of the highest calibre, who given love, attention and succour through thick and thin
No show can survive without viewers and viewers of your class are hard to find-- people who appreciate the good points and gently point out the errors, who will be there in the good times and the bad.
May I declare that todays episode was a love letter from the CVs to the 3 IDIOTS family-- they showed that they know you exist and care for your opinion.
WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED-- WITH VIEWERS AS DEDICATED AND CARING AS YOU, GEET SHOULD HAVE NOT FEARS
with regards to todays episode-- how does one analyse pure romance-- if I never watched another episode, I could live happy in the knowledge that Maan loves Geet and Geet loves Maan-- and that NO MATTER WHAT they will be there for each other
Maan is physically weak at the moment and needs Geet's protection from the emotional storm that is brewing-- he has spent so much time protecting her, that we must not forget that she is a punjabi sherni as well-- she will protect him at the cost of her own emotional comfort, and with the risk that he may misunderstand her-- his health is THAT important to her (if I were being filmy, I would say that suhaag ki raksha karna ek patni ka dharm hai, and she is Maan's patni in the eyes of God-- we saw them marry that night in front of the tent!)
And Maan-- he came back from the dead for her-- he rose from his sick bed, bechain to see her, unable to bear the thought that Geet needed him and he was unable to find her. There was no physical strength in him, no power to keep him going, nothing except the strength of his love--and yet that was enough to enable him to exert himself to find her.
The moment they met, the way he opened his arms to her-- even with his last breath, with the last bit of energy in his body-- he will stand to protect her, he will shelter her in his arms. And she, she understands (finally) the depth of his love and more importantly the depth of her own love for him-- I don't think she had appreciated her feelings until she saw him there in front of her (and kudos to DD for emoting so well)
That embrace, that moment of togetherness-- they were alone in a crowd- and with that embrace they spoke of every vow they have taken and are yet to take
every moment, every second they spent in each others arms was another declaration of love
And then-- the patni, cross with her errant pati-- how dare he let himself get hurt, how dare he not take care of her amanat-- she finally understands why he gets so cross with her when she gets hurt-- she is an equal partner in this relationship, she owns him as much as he owns her-- how dare he let himself get hurt
He realised at that moment that such emotion was too private to let people even peek in, and he finds an arbor for their love
and there, she finally embraces him and accepts his embrace, with no hesitation, with no doubt-- he has the right to touch her and kiss her-- and then she shows her haq on him-- she has the right to kiss him too, to be physically open with him. And this is a huge step-- for a girl who is pregnant, who has been physically as well as emotionally betrayed, its a huge step to allow a man to be physcially close to her-- and then to show that she feels that she has the right to be physical with him too-- a HUGE step forward in their relationship; but she is still shy, taking this first step, and her first kiss falls to one side-- but she nestles into his arms like a homing bird, knowing that though this first kiss didn't land, all the next kisses will-- and they will learn together
The words they spoke then-- they were the true declarations that we've wanted-- she felt too emotionally exposed to say it all without the sahara of the pretence of reading the card-- but she DID say it
And then he gave her the same back-- he didn't make her expose her inner emotions straight away, he didn't force her to show him her reaction-- he spoke with his back to her to allow her a moment to collect herself
and she collects herself and realises that now there is no need for hiding between them-- this time she walks to him and openly places a sign of her love on his forhead-- this time the kiss does not go astray-- this time she has realised that she and her are bound-- physically, emotionally, spiritaully-- there is no room for shame between them, nor is there any need; after all, does a wife feel ashamed of her need for her husband.
But he is confused-- or perhaps not even confused-- perhaps he senses her pain and he still has guilt in his heart for not reading her eyes that night-- so he asks her-- what happened, why did you leave
she's about to tell him- then realises that at that moment, truth is not the only rasta-- truth may destroy their happy life together by destroying him-- so she remains silent about the whole truth-- sharing with him only part of what drove her away that night
but he knows her, he can read her eyes, her silence, her soul-- he has once before made the mistake of not reading her-- today he won't allow her half-truth to pass without comment
the question we have now is-- will her need for the truth, and her awareness of his reverance of the truth force her to speak, or will her need to have him healthy and whole in fornt of her force her to remain silent, jeopardising her peace of mind and jeopardising his trust in her
I believe that he will support her, no matter what-- through thick and thin through storm and light, through badnaami and charche-- even if she doesn't tell him the truth now-- he will bide his time and hear her out when she feels able to tell him
Maan has been written as better than any real man-- and this is why no darkness will ever separate them-- this is the way a relationship could be if there is pureity in the man's soul and andh-vishwaas; this is what is needed between a man and a woman-- and that is what the CVs are giving us!
