Hi guys,

I do not usually post on the main forum but just had to today given the recent atmosphere in this forum!

CVS has done a great job of keeping Geet HSP running given what was a very unfortunate and unforeseen circumstance. Could they have handled some of the new story lines & associated screenplays better...for sure! But as viewers we really need to understand that there are competing stakeholders making demands on the writing/directing team.

The producers do not launch and run shows such as these as a charity. It is a business proposition. They need to keep various stakeholders happy AND make money. For e.g. for CVS, Star One is a key customer. The advertisers are Star One's key customer...they pay to advertise during the show. If the TRPs drop, they will leave. So, they & Star One in turn, put pressure on the writing team to come up with the best options to keep the show chugging along and make it through this period without losing too much of their ratings. TRPs are generated by the viewing public in India. Those of us online making demands are a very SMALL percentage of the overall audience. So, the writers have to come up with plots that appeal to the greatest common denominator not just their online fans!

As viewers, we are also one of the stakeholders that make or break that money equation that the producers live and breathe by. So we do get a right to share our views on what they show us. But it makes all of us look immature and silly when we come on boards and forums demanding unreasonable things like the actors returning to work or future story changes because a favored couple is not romancing everyday! Why can we not let the writers show us what they have planned before jumping to conclusions? As viewers, have we become so used to the crap that passes for drama on television today that we simply cannot discern far superior quality when it is staring us in the face? Or are we so fickle that a small detour gets us disillusioned enough to quit watching? Or do we just like the misguided sense of power we feel when we get to post scoops/rumors that gets everybody riled up?

Do you want to make an impact...be sensible! Look at the larger picture of where this story started and where it is meant to go before posting! It will help the creative team get feedback they can actually consider rather than random noise that passes for opinion these days!

Coming to the heavily debated "separation storyline" and entry of a new character...we all know the writers have had to come up with new plots to keep the series running without Gurmeet. Adding a Geet - Maan separation at this point is a reasonable track addition that achieves that purpose. It gives them the flexibility to keep the episodes flowing for as long as Gurmeet needs to recover completely. To help us all gain some perspective, may I remind you of some of the very fundamental premises on which this story is based on:

1. Geet is PREGNANT with Dev's baby. If there were no baby or if the baby were not Dev's why would she be "paraye" at all? That is the most basic founding principle for this story.
2. Dev & Naintara CHEATED Geet...no ifs, ands or buts about this. Geet's character is based on her FEELING CHEATED! So even if Dev's character wants to reform, Geet's will be shown seeking punishment for her perpetrators.
3. Geet & Maan are DESTINED to be with each other. The writers established that within the first 3 weeks of this series. This means, no matter what obstacle comes their way, they will find a way to get back together. Period!

If you accept these as fact, then why would you be concerned about any new entrant or storyline? I do not want to waste any time predicting the million ways the writers could take this story because no matter which path they choose, the overriding principles STAY THE SAME!

So...sit back and enjoy the journey! If not, I would suggest you find something else to watch!

EXCELLENT POST DARLUNIA....😊......NEEDED SOMEONE TO PUT SOME SENSE INTO SOME PEOPLE.......TOTALLY AGREE WITH U...

Well said!!! I second everything you've said. Given the constraint that Maan and Geet WILL be together, I do not care where the current episodic equation is headed...as a Geet fan, I'm up for the ride!!! 😛 Also guys, we should never underestimate the power of the taveez...it may have been removed by an well-meaning nurse, but it has super-sensory and mega-travelling powers...oh and fevicolic strength to get Maaneet together....so no fear!!😃

@FelixFelicis...ahh the power of the taveez! After all these months, why would anybody doubt that a new entrant will change the Geet-Maan story...boggles my mind!

All those people threatening to "quit" the show must understand that they quitting actually dont matter at all!!!!
The past 2 weeks episode with the drama and no romance must have atcually gained them some new viewers who are like 35+ (or the normal SP audience). It had those masala that we usually see in SP serials which appeal to those people who actually give TRP!!!
These quitters will again start watching once Maan is back.. so in my POV CVs have actually gained something out of this fiasco!!

__________________ Hmm..very intelligent observation Rolzz, I am sure GHSP will gain more matured viewers as a result of this crisis who will stick to the series longer than the teen audience, you the kind like mums-at-home, as they are the ones who watch most serials. That's the reason GEET on FB did a Poll on whose mom watched the show???Now I get it..
After all, for the show to run long "TRP ka sawal hai"

btw loved these points

@govindagopala...I am not an avid hindi serial watcher...Geet is the only one. But...from what I am told, Jay Bhanushali has a different fan base from his work on other channels & shows. So that will also bring in new viewers to this show. So kudos to CVS for that!

Yes... even I thought of that.. It was indeed an intelligent move by CVs to bring a popular actor for cameo!!

Few lines:

Guys take a breath and think. Maan and Geet have never been apart for more than a 2-3 days. Since the entry of MSK in GHSP, we have seen them together. Essense to be understood: They are inseparable.

The present track has many opportunities, my rhymes below reflect them.

Also another point apart from all that: Geet might not get her justice now, but she hasnt given up. Once Maan wakes up, finds her gone and he finds her after all the passion and romance, we will see them fight together for the much deserved justice.

And finally: Geet has not given up on MSK. She is confused. She has no idea that Maan is at the hospital. She does not know he met with an accident. All she knows is NT was at the hospital with Maan's taveez. saying Maan doesnt want to see your face again. So given that Geet is feeling guilty about having walked out of the engagement, upset about having met Dev, rejection from the police station, she gives into her confusion. But then she herself stops trying to remove the ring and keeps the taveez telling herself that she will not give up on the relationship.

So chillax!!!

My rhymes :

Maan just needs an opportunity to see GREEN

Aditya will do this in reel

As Maan goes ballistic

We will see PASSION rising in the mist

As green becomes red

Inhibitions will shed

History will offer us the best viewing

Of passion-foreplay-CON in the making!!
☺️

Why worry about non-existing geometric shapes,
When answer lies in a single straight line!!
The line connects Maan and Geet together
Starting from one and ending at the other

The creatives have realised their TRP winner
Is the Maan-Geet, Maneet mixer
Aditya is just a catalyst
Adding fuel to the existing fire

Fire that will burn long and hot
With all the passion and romance
In this new-age story of two souls in one dance
