Completely agree with you ... Maaneet relationship is way beyond these petty things .. Maan knows Geet wanted to tell him something and Geet too wants to tell him the truth about Dev. The whole taveez bit could be that Maan is stuck in the elevator and whatever is going to happen with the elevator falling leading to Maan getting hurt. The taveez might fall from around Maan's neck at that point ... but we all know it somehow makes it way back to him and like in the past, this time too it will find it's way back to it's rightful owner ...
