ladies ... both of you have summed it all up so beautifully ... i gathered a new found meaning to the entire episode .. well honestly i was super annoyed with the re-use of the tinsel.. it looked like they had run outta props .. but ur post makes sense ....anyway ... moving on...
i myself loved the episode yesterday, cos of the intercuts between Maan-Dev and Geet-Myra ... there is another thing i would like to add here ...Maan and was talkimg about his life, while Dev answered for his ... Myra talks of her past experience with men, and that helps solve Geet's current problem....
i think like you said, these four characters will have a close inter-lock with one another ...i always thought, Maan was the only person Geet could ever confide in, he would be the only person she would share her worries and tensions with ... otherwise though she is bubbly, she is still closed...she doesnt give away too much to Myra either, who on her part atleast says i have had a guy problem for the past 5 years ..Geet on her part just generally talks about whats bothering her... thats how much its always going to be...Myra may be the supporting factor in her life, but she will never be a best friend-that place only and only belongs to Maan...
Ditto with Maan... he is mad, he is annoyed, and he vents, but only generally... but the moment dev wants to know more, he guards himself.. He is Maan singh Khurana, he cant allow anyone to see his weak side, even if the guy is his own brother! yes he might share his insecurities with one person, and that person is only Geet! thats why he says, if you think, i am going to beg you then you are mistaken, well we know the number of times he has actually pleaded with her in the past to get a reaction... he knows perhaps the only way he can get a reaction is by still staying in the bosses's shoes... also shows, he will be the one who decides things for her, though emotionally she would be calling the shots. I loved the fact that there was no mood shift, he knows he wants a reaction out of her, and he is not going to show how affected he is by it, till the time he gets it..Geet on her part perhaps hasnt gathered the guts to say it ... and now after the promo i see every reason why she was so hesitant.. she is too too too scared of being happy.. everytime she wants to give her thoughts, her feelings or emotions a chance something or the other goes wrong... she now has no guts.. as much as she thinks she will now give life another shot, that hurt soul inside her immediately takes the shape of a defense mechanism... not allowing her to over step.. it is like to say... take care of urself girl... you after all might have just urself to turn to on some given god forsaken day...whereas when maan says thngs, he assures her, it boosts her ego ... it gives her confidence...
and now after she finally decided she would tell the guy, and she is all smiling after ages, her past comes right back! even if she has mentally moved on and feels nothing for him, how is she to deal with it.. and the fact that he is the brother ...!! no wonder, sab ke saath hoke bhi Geet sabse parayi hai.. aur ... usey samajh ne waala agar koi hai toh woh sirf maan hai.. thats why she demands that attention from him.. she demands that control over her from him... and she would do her bit for sure .. but only when her heart heals completely... and that is what Dev hints at ... that sometimes, though you leave ur past far behind, you still need more time to recover....
