none of us in personal lives, would take a gift., find it not pleasing or upto the standard, and throw it back in the giver's face, listing all the drawbacks and shortcomings and why we hated it...would we? That too from a fried who has given us tons of happy and memorable moments...
This is precisely how the majority of viewers have reacted to yesterday's episode.. the makers..our friends in a way..have left no stone unturned to give us happiness..they have slogged to put a smile on our faces and how...the cvs have given us such fantabulous scenes and a show we love to the level of addiction...and we have indeed abused their hard work !!
Can we just pause and think for a moment here..before giving them soo much of flak...
First and foremost..our biggest complain..why oh why did Geet say the engagment was fake?
Hey there is just not one character in this show.and that is MSK...there is also Geet and have we thought this out from her point of view....
OK so Maan went down on his knees on the station..gave the ring back to her...what next..he immediately reverted back to his old self...no glimpse of a lovey dovey head over heels in love man was found by Geet,,,she got the arrogant man back who told her she would not make it without him...forget that...lets look at the Manali episode and Maan's behaviour...
Again when they were leaving, Geet for the first time, opened her heart in a way and said that she would net let her past come between them...what did she get in return...a man in love who professed his feelings and adoration too...nope..Maan the reticent man as usual...
Just before the fight...he blamed Geet for bringing him to a wrong place deliberately to distract him, dragged her in a corner, and when she wanted to look around, told her cooly we are leaving, when Mr. Raval came DD was at his best, first asking Geet to walk away, then adjusting her hair and then the public declaration of .....what??..we know it was love...but actually it was a declaration of possession..what did she hear..she is mine and mine alone....coming from a small town..Geet has a very shy personality and hates public demonstrations or displays of any kind of affection...we have seen it in the hoshiarpur hook episode, the hand kissing episode...she gets totally embarrassed and furious at such and outward and public display...obviously this in front of soo many ppl..had her at an edge.
She was furious...any woman would hate to be treated like a puppet...more so some one as strong willed as Geet....Maan loves her but well..he is not a very expressive or demonstrative lover...( HOW WE LOVE OUR MSK 😳)..inspite of opening her heart ...she did not get any confessions or expressions of love..no sweet romance..nope...
And come on guyz it was a lover's tiff..ever heard of one??.there just cannot be logic behind it...such cute fights are known to be totally ridiculous...😆
Yes, Geet has trust issues, huge insecurities, but looking at where she is coming from and how she has suffered...she is not to be blamed...she is unsure of herself...she needs to hear it from Maan...again and again..and maybe through out life Maan will need to assure and reassure her of his never ending love...she will need that to heal the scars of her past...forget her...any woman in her place would be soo hesitant too...here we have a homely small town girl, unsophisticated, with a shattering past..pregnant..and on the other hand we have MSK, the dream boat, filty rich, hot and handsome, he can get any woman he wants or desires...her first and our first thought would always be...does he love me ? How can he love me? what does he see in me? Is he sure of his feelings or is he just dilly dallying???
And yes there were a lot of other bloopers...which show doesn't...lets not be too demanding...remember in their shoes we would have done worst!!😆
My whole point...the cvs have a view point...can we patiently hear them out...Geet is not silly or stupid as the majority have called her...she is just human...who has a terrible past and is afraid to dream again...let Maan deal with her in his own way...
Please dont let our negativity destroy something we so passionately love and a lot of ppl work soo hard to create!!
(And if you think this can help remove some of the hurt certain comments have caused..please post sn edited version of this on Geet FB ..unfortunately i dont have an FB account.)
