actually nobody is to be blamed...had geet not blurted out the truth, maan would somehow change the topic and it would be unsaid, just like he did the night they were locked up in a room... it was perfect setting and she was about to tell him everything and he changed the topic...the only way she could have got out the truth is by just bluntly saying it...saying it softly or explaining everything is not going to change the fact that she is pregnant...it might have softened the blow, but it is a blow nevertheless...she might have got pregnant due to a 100 reasons, a love affair, a rape, or a fraud marriage like this, but the fact that like she says she is not an innocent girl (like she says na hi mein saadi suda huin ya kwaroon) is the biggest issue...in india, how many people will accept a bride who is not a kanya anymore...there are people who do testing to confirm that (it is illegal of course, but they still do it)....that is the time true love should come in...he can take his time, but once the anger cools off, he should come to his senses and realize that geet never ever encouraged him, in fact the cvs were quite clear in that...so as seen in the promos how can he blame geet for not telling him soon enough...they became friends only two to three days earlier, they started showing their feelings for each other only two days earlier, when the demellos came, and as soon as he told her his idea of love is trust and truth, the very next day she tells him the truth...so if u have to really pin the blame on anyone it is only on maan...for a family to kill their own daughter and disown her and that too such a close knit family in a small town he who is so proud of his brains and intelligence should have known that the matter was serious, involving something like this...nobody would disown their family for such a thing as a small stealing or something....
well we will see wat maan does to his dear little bro when he learns the truth...will he do the same thing geet did on his advice, send his own bro to jail or would he start shielding him...i think much more that wat he does to geet, is wat he does to dev when he comes to know the truth...it is very easy to preach, but when it comes to ur blood, u will be thinking twice before acting...then he will think of dadi's health etc, but when it is geet's bro, he advises her not to suffer in silence and act boldly...i think maan's character should stand the test of time in this regard and give dev the punishment he deserves, this is if the coward really does confess everything....
