Attention All Maan Maniacs!
There's been a certain outburst in the forum about Maan's recent act of leaving Geet after hearing out her pregnancy confession. Some people have gone far to call him an idiot, donkey, all sorts of name-calling and comparing him to Dev stating that he was selfish to leave Geet and instead of holding out to her he let go of her and got angry! In his defense I would like to say that Maan's behavior is totally justified and is purely human. You can never forget the fact that he is not some form of God who is all-knowing and will not react. The guy truly loved Geet with his whole heart and he has had a bad past (which we have seen some indications of) and in spite of the hurt he went through in his past he at last finally let go of his heart to someone and found the strength to love and trust again only to have it shattered to discover that the girl he loves deeply is pregnant. He like any other guy would be shocked out of his mind becuz, at that point he doesn't know what to think becuz, all he knows is she's pregnant.I think in a way, Geet out of hastiness and anxiety spilled the beans a bit too fast. She should've started it in a proper manner by first telling him about how she was forced into marriage with an NRI by her parents who eventually cheated with her and left her unconscious at the airport while he flew away with her money. And how later she found out that she was pregnant and how devastating it was for her parents and all that. I am sure if she started off in a correct manner, he would've understood her.
But, the fact that he knows that she's not married as her profile states so and the fact that she is pregnant.............there may be tons of questions roaming in his mind about Geet about whether she is unmarried pregnant girl who made a mistake or whether she is married and he doesn't know that. So, his shock and anger is justified becuz, its like all of a sudden he realizes that he doesn't even know the girl he is in love with and what her past is? He is angry becuz, he is shocked and this is not what he expected coming.
Though I applaud Geet for coming out and telling him the truth but, I am not at all impressed with the way she spoke out the truth incomplete. And at the same I don't believe that Maan is at fault either. It's like if you were a guy and the girl you loved comes out to tell you that she's pregnant.........you would be shocked too! So, you need to think of his perspective.
A couple of Maan Fans have already opened up topics defending Maan so, I applaud you guys! Sometimes you can't let one moment be the judgement of a person and forget all the thousand times when he took your side and protected you! So, don't forget all that he has done for Geet and this is just a intial shock for him! It doesn't mean that he doesn't love her, he does but, he is also an human being to react normally out shock at things he/she didn't even expect coming.
