Okay ladies, i got sooooooooooooo jammed packed with real life duties that this took a back seat. but count me in and thanks for inviting me Vru.
okay so agreed with all the symbolism pointed out by all of you. great analysis and you have been far more eloquent than i would have ever been, that forced me to re watch the episode so that i would make sure i was not missing anything. two other thigns that i noticed are:
1) When you see the scene when she is on the jhoola, not the moment he says Kismat say bahgna na muumkin hai - this is when he pushes her away on the swing and as soon as he says specific line the the swing brings her closer to him. its very subtle but u will see it for sure and know what i am talking about - basically like everybody said - Maan is her Qismat or Taqdeer and as hard as she tries to go away she will be brought back to her destiny because her path has been written already!!!
and agreed, just the way its the chand's taqdeer to be with the night, its geet's to be with him.
another small thing that i noticed was the Toota tara symbolism as soon as Maan puts the ring on her finger. my brain is too fried right now to understand what was the symbolism behind that scene but i am pretty darn sure my 3 idiots would be able to come up with a cool justification for that. so go ahead lovelies, knock urself out and tell me whats the symbolism behind the tota tara.
love to all and thanks for opening this thread, despite being swept by the Maan mania, the thinker in me sometimes does want to have rational serious analysis of the episode . i mean the ohh and ahh's aside. This seems like a great platform for people like me who like to ohh and ahh but also like to get serious from time to time.
another thing i noticed was that, Maan has never been able to take geet's tears. be it when he didn't even know her and now. however the way he dealt with it then was very different than what it is today. Then he would taunt and torment and now he would comfort and console.
Thanks,
Neha
i haven't read through all the pages so if this is repetitive please excuse.
