guys....I am slowing catching up on the old episodes....but I have a quick question....

in HP when Maan/Dev were both there....obviously for different reasons....didn't the name KHURANA ever strike odd for Geet?? I mean she realized she was cheated on & all, and after she joined the office....the hugely written & publicized KHURANA name never reminded Geet of Dev?? not of linking Maan to Dev but just reminding her of her marriage...

I thought this was kinda odd....

they are yet to show maan's past and bad experience he received from the hands of his bro & his wife..he has forgiven his bro's mistakes, so i am sure he will be able to accept dev's child as his own..

what we needed to see is Geet's decision... she will not be able to declare her love for maan, and will continue to keep engagement for the sake of it... on the other hand we may be able to see a strong Geet who takes her sweet revenge on Dev to teach him a lesson.. but then again she will be in double mind since Dev is Maan's brother so will she tell the truth?? considering the fact that she wanted to see Maan happy.. whole family happy...

but ok coming back to the baby....I can finally see what you are saying. I just watched the episode (for the first time) where Geet finds out that she is pregnant. and she asks the doctor lady to lie about this to the family. it was so sad :( but we can see here how much Geet loves the baby..! she risks her life and runs away...knowing that death can creep up on her anytime. So I think you are right...this whole storyline is based on Geet's struggle...and the baby is part of that struggle...

I am just keeping my hopes high for the CVs....they have made us happy this far....lets see what they have in store for us now..

yah you are right.... MAAN was there i think look for his another brother.. as he was showing a photograph and was searching....one episode dadima mentioned to him to bring his whole family together.. she did mention about one more person other than dev

i agree with you renu. the baby is a essential part of the story. Will help them get beyond the 'attraction' and get to actually examining the depth of affection and respect they have for each other.

Geet does not know that Dev is Mann's brother so she has no reason to emphasize the identity of the NRI couple. The first round after the revelation will be about whether Mann will revise his definition of 'perfect'...to take on this woman he is so bound too...with her baby and her past.

When Geet finds out about Dev, the focus will/should shift to whether she would like to reveal the truth to Mann in her selfish interest and risk breaking the family apart. Knowing Geet, she will put herself low on the priority list and hide things for the sake of Mann and Dadi.

Will Maan re-define his version of 'perfect' ....? Will Geet be a bit more unselfish and put her love before Mann's family? the CV decision on these two questions will define whether Geet is another run of the mill story or a new defining one.

Going by what they seem to have done to DMG...am not sure if these guys will tread the more difficult path...let's wait and watch.

u have me as a supporter..i think the baby should be born..or else wuteva geet started as the girl who fought everything to bring this baby into the world..all of that would seem senseless and geet would lose its true essence.

Its great to see the different opinions on here....it broadens one's thoughts beyond one opinion..

Here's how I feel about it...

Although it would have been easier if the baby issue was not in the story (I was hoping 4 the same) , but the reality of the matter is there is no story without the baby....If the baby wasn't in the story geet wouldn't have had to escape the clutches of her murderous family and maan would not need to save her multiple times...she wouldn't have come to the city 2 start a new life and maaneet romance wouldn't have taken off...The baby is the center of their life...And the acceptance of the baby by maan would only strengthen their relationship not weaken it . Is it inconvenient? yes!
Is it going to make it more complicated 4 maneet? Yes! Does it reek that the baby's father is maan's brother? YES! In a perfect world we could make these complications disappear but the fact of the matter is we don't live in a perfect world....things are not always the way we would like it to be..
unfortunately geet's past is going to play a huge role in molding her future....but dont worry guys it's nothing our HP express and Dust Danav/Ravaan cant handle.....their love story will hold more meaning and prove to be more precious because of these "complications" (dev issue & baby issue) in their lives..
