So, here we are again, in another shop. Till now Daadimaa has bought me 20 saris, at least 10 jewelry sets, 5 pairs of sandals, 2 pairs of chapals (how did she know I was looking for new ones to throw at Him), and 6 suits. I admit I like the dresses, the shopping, etc. but I keep on feeling like the dolls I used to play with. And all this for the engagement, I wonder if this goes further, maybe I will end with the entire fall collection. Good Job, Geet (*mentally, patting back), finally perfect job dunda. And I know I should not complain, I mean thousands of girls probably all glaring daggers at me right now (well, its not like I can help it, na, after all he thinks I am perfect, I mean perfect for the job) but do you know how many things I had to try on to just to buy all that, and does he help? Nahi, janab toh starts with the starts with the ji, Daadimaa and whatever you think Daadimaa, I mean grow a backbone (I know I never thought I would see the day when I would say this). And he too is really getting into this thing, I mean I know, dreamy right, maan spending time shopping for you, but its ridiculous, ek side to dadimaa with the Geet beta and other side him with the Jaan. Really, Maan, I mean Maan sir, thoda zyada nahi kar rahe. Hai, but he says it so well, Jaan, *hitting my head on the next wall, figuratively* Geet don't think about him, or you are again going to feel like fainting or trip, etc., something that will land you in his arms yet again, and phir toh tu puri tarha se gayi. Wow, unke bare mein sochte sochte I must have really lost it, that must be why I am standing here again with a pile full of things to try, Babaji *panicked expression. sighing*. Now, I feel glad that Daadimaa is here; I don't think I would have survived this trip if she was not there to buffer things between me and Geet. *Again looking from the corner of the eye* Yep, she is still glaring in my directions, almost buried under the pile of clothes that Dadimaa has landed in her arms. Hum, nice saris, I wonder how she will look in the black sari, it really did look good for her. Actually anything looks good on her. I mean, what does it matter?. Not to keep repeating myself, but only if she had said yes, but no, that's all she know's, I try to tell her I love her, toh no sir; I try to ask her is she loves me, then no sir; I ask her help with finding girl, again no sir; I ask her to be fiance, again with the no sir. Hum come to think about it, these 2 things definitely need to go on the List, yes a list, its titled The Habits, listing all habits I will have to spend the next few years trying to break off from Geet. So lets see, number 8, get her to stop saying no the first time I say anything (I know, kind of odd for me to add that one when it's so much more fun trying to get her to say yes after saying no, hum, maybe I shouldn't add this once) Ok, number 8 is stop her habit of saying Sir all the time. And the no one, will go on as a maybe number 9. (*figuratively hitting forehead) What am I doing, adding things to The Habits, I should first get her to say yes. Getting a yes, so going back to the make Geet Confess project. I believe its time to review the missteps, and try to revise plans A, B, and C. (determination level, 100%).
