Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, that is aired on STAR One has a list of popular characters. Whether it's Geet or Maan or Geet's friend Adi, all the characters have become household names.
We caught up with Adi, who is Geet's best friend and confidant, who also happens to be Maan's accountant in the Khurana Constructions. Adi aka Parneet Bhatt is a popular character on the show and he spoke to us about the industry, the show and what he thinks of marriage.
What do you like about Geet?
Geet is a modern woman who fights for her justice. I like her never-say-die attitude. She is strong, but emotional. I like how she came to Delhi from a small town to be independent. I interviewed her and knew that she was dedicated to her work.
Will You support Geet now that the truth about her pregnancy is out?
Of course I will. She is my friend and I have tried convincing Maan to prevent Geet from leaving Delhi.
Your character is slightly geeky. So is there a plan of a makeover?
I enjoy playing the character, just like everyone else. As for the makeover, you have to wait and see.
How different are you from Adi?
We're both happy-go-lucky people, but I'm not a geek. Nor do I get nervous.
What's the secret behind the Geet-Maan Jodi?
They love each other and have no expectations. They are totally opposite. Maan is Mars, while Geet is Venus.
Why do you think the audience likes the show?
They have great on-screen chemistry and their banter is good to watch.
Have you ever heard of fake NRI marriages?
Before this show, I didn't. However, while shooting in Punjab, I got talking with the locals and heard of rich farmers from Chandigarh and Ludhiana getting involved in these NRI marriages. I'm glad STAR One has raised this issue. But there are several reasons such marriages break up - some can't adjust, people fall out of love, sometimes a partner goes astray. There is a huge list of reasons.
How has the audience reacted to your character?
I've got a lot of reactions. Some have said that they like my laugh. Some like my acting. I've gotten a lot of messages on the official website and Facebook. The biggest was when my mother called me Adi Sir.
How's the experience working with your co-stars?
Gurmeet, Drashti and Kanika are great colleagues. It's a great and hardworking team. We gel when we're between shoots. Sometimes, our director has to stop our masti.
What personal advice you would give to Maan and Geet?
Just Get Married! And then concentrate on work and make Khurana Construction No 1 company in India.
So in Delhi, Geet has got great friends like Pinky and Adi who will always support Geet. While in the show, we have seen that that Maan comes to know the truth about Geet and he finally he says sorry to Geet and tells her not to leave Delhi.
