:-) Just saw this and thought I would respond it now itself...

Actually, I am one of those who doesn't own a camera other than what is there in a cellphone. Okay, I do have a camera but its a basic one which I can carry in my pocket and take pictures of random objects than actually pose in front of it :-)

Anyway that was totally useless info. I however do enjoy the entire process of movie making. As a consumer I should be evaluating only what goes on the screen...but I cannot help but think about the people who actually make it happen... sometimes I feel that they do not get the due recognition which they truly deserve. I know that if acting is bad, then everything is pretty much lost for this kind of endeavor but in the end its a package deal. I love their performances in these very five scenes and in those scenes direction and cinematography was excellent... so for me, the acting and all the background work go hand in hand...

Thanks for the verses!

Ah sookie,

i agree that was just banter...i am actually one of those who have studied multimedia...have designed and developed 3d videos and 2 d animations so i do understand what you mean...and yes they are doing a wonderful job

you rightly likened it to the brilliance of Mani Ratnam, and i am a fan of fantastic cinematography.

Celluloid is such medium that in one frame one can speak a thousand verse...and in the 24 frames per second that our eye can take..the visuals created are nothing if not captivating

Geet team the technical team deserves a pat on the back for doing tremendous job and it is of course the vision of the director Nissar who packs the punch in each frame..

he has gift to create art in motion...

i am sorry if i seemed flippant earlier...its just my quirky mood..

after all there is no point i see in advertising my knowledge about the cameras, angles and the lights that create a visual treat.

^^ Vrsuh!

Nah, it was not the flippancy which made me respond...but the fact that you mentioned "puzzle" as ending word in your verse... I generally take things words verbatim most of the times, so I just narrated something I believe in...

Wow... multimedia huh! That's...exotic...I come from pretty much plain and dull software programming area so for me anything 2D or 3D all fall under complex to create category.

It's wonderful to interact with you as you always give a fresh perspective via your verses. :-)

Sookie

have i just got a new name?

hmm how would i call myself
for there are many names i go by on shelf

a dreamer, a realist, a writer
a poet, a pragmatist, a fighter

for they all are a part of me
would you see if i showed thee

just like a kaleidoscope that brings with each view
a perspective different from before, a perspective that's new

Awesome Post... My sisters and I were re-watching the Teri Deewani sequence today; it's really amazing cinematography that transports it to another realm of experience entirely. The lighting is exceptional throughout, especially towards the end when Geet is shown staring up at him in awe...

camera effect was the best in Teri deewani....the whole shot is taken in the P.O.V of geet.
I love the whole sequence where she can keep her eyes of Maan.

Awesome write up Sookie!! I have always been in awe of the cinematography in this show especially in certain sequences. You have listed the best I believe but there are so many more. I have never seen any other indian show put in any sort of effort to get a good shot. They have a great crew!! Hope they keep it up.

i'd like to add couple of scenes from Hoshiarpur as well.. but one with Geet's wet hair and dew drop like skin was shot amazingly as well...😊

Hello,

Thanks! I was going with a theme in the first post where in I wanted to see both Maan and Geet in a single frame... But I see your point.. should add another theme where in either one is in retrospective mode...
