hello everyone,
i'm back to bug you...!!!! it took me sometime to get out back to normalcy after friday's episode so i could not really come up with a long update!
here is the next update!!!
Part 58
Dev did not know what he felt at that moment- was he happy that maan and geet were happy? Was he sad that he betrayed the both of them? He wished someone could help him solve the puzzle in his mind. But there was no one. He had to do it himself. he remembered leaving geet alone at the airport and she cried. Today, he was all alone, but she had a support that would probably be equal to a 1000 dev's or even much more.
Dev continued to look at maan and geet. He slowly moved behind the pillar so that he would not be visible even if they looked up by chance. Geet kept speaking non-stop and maan listened to her. Dev was amazed how much geet could speak and he wondered when and how his bro had got so much patience to listen to her.
He could actually listen to what geet was saying because she was so excited. He looked at maan who thoroughly enjoyed her conversation. He kept nodding his head and smiling in between.
He wanted to shout out to them, "Bro! teen ghante se khade ho kar baath kar rahe hai, kahi bait tuo jaaeye!" he would have done that if he had done nothing to geet. he would have thoroughly enjoyed the teasing session with the both of them, because, maan singh khurana had found his love. A man who kept away from the very word "love" was now neck deep in it.
Dev could not help smiling, but at the same time, an ocean of guilt surrounded him. He had to face the situations and the consequences. He needed some time to plan out things and his decision to stay out of delhi for sometime was correct. His decision to keep naintara out of here was also correct. He had to handle this single handedly. That was the only option left for him. he could not destroy any one lives any further. The damage was already done, so now he had to make sure, no further damage is done!
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He thought to himself, "I can do this!" he quickly opened his eyes when he heard geet scream, "Maan, meri baatein abhi complete nahi hue. I am not leaving till you listen to the entire story!" He saw maan walking away to the car and geet following him. Maan turned back and yelled, "geet, teen ghante ho gaye, tum itna bolte ho geet. kam se kam bait ke tuo baat karo"
Dev put his hand on his mouth and laughed. That's what he wanted to tell them a couple of minutes back, but his bro had finally lost his patience, but geet did not give up.
"Maan, meri baton se aapko problem hai?theek hai, main nahi bolungi ab! Main jaa rahi hoon ghar" and stood there staring at maan.
"tumhe CA nahi lawyer banna chahiye geet. Trust me, saare cases tum hi jeet jaoge".
"haaan?" she asked thinking maan was complimenting her.
"haan!" he said angrily. "doosro ko bolne ka mauka hi nahi doge, tuo tum hi jeetoge na!" he said trying to remain as serious as possible.
"phir se taana, har baat pe taana. Maan singh khurana samjthe kya hai aap, apne aap ko?"
"dekho, tum baar baar mujhse yeh sawal mat karo. Ab mujhe ghoorne bandh karo aur chalo ghar!"
Geet was gnashing her teeth. "haan main chali jaungi. Aapko mere peeche peeche aane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai", she said and walked towards the huge iron gates of the khurana mansion.
Dev saw geet and quickly turned to see maan's reaction. maan was holding his head with his hand. Dev thought, "arey bro who jaa rahi hai. But maan khurana is not going to stop her!"
Dev's eyes popped out and his mouth fell open, when maan ran behind her and stopped her. He then saw maan convince geet for another half hour and thought smiling, "wow! the maan singh khurana trying to make a girl happy!"
Dev decided he would not be spending another minute here in Delhi to ruin things between maan and geet. Dev got back to his room to pack his stuff and got everything ready for his flight the next day. He also had to send some emails regarding his meetings. It was 8pm and he was hungry. He decided to call daadima and maan for dinner, unaware fo the fact that maan already had dinner. He walked into the dining room and asked shiv and raghu to make arrangements for dinner. He walked to daadi's bedroom and stopped at the door and moved behind it. He saw daadi sitting on the chair and maan was sitting on the floor by her lags. Dev was taken aback. He knew his daadi and maan shared a wonderful bond, but did not it was this special to the both of them.
He heard maan telling daadi, "gussa tuo uski naakh pe chadi rehti hai daadima. Har choti si baath pe gussa".
Daadima laughed and said, "maan she's perfect for you! Aapko bhi gussa naakh pe chadi rehti hai".
Dev nodded his head in agreement. Maan continued, "par daadima, main tuo use manate manate tag gaya".
"who maan gayi na yahi?" she asked.
"haan haan maan gayi. Ab maan singh khurana kisi ko sorry kehke manayega, tuo kaun nahi manenge?"
Dev silently said, "oh! Really bro? Liar! You had to run behind her for half hour!" and smirked.
Dev decided to enter the room and knocked on the door. Maan and daadima looked at him and daadima was a little worried, wondering if he had heard anything they spoke. But she was sure maan had not mentioned geet's name anywhere. She relaxed and sat back in her chair. She called dev in.
Dev, too, sat on the floor beside maan. Maan smiled at him and dev told him, "bro, aaj kal aap kuch zyaada hi muskuraate hai! Kya baat hai?"
Daadi looked at him surprised. She was waiting for maan's reply. Maan looked at him, not at all angry that dev had started to pull his leg again.
He calmly replied, "dev, jab tensions kam ho jaate hai tuo muskuraane ka mann karta hai. You're working on a very good project and that burden is off my shoulders, then daadima was not well till few weeks back but now she's doing fine. She's also taking care of the farmhouse. Everything seems to be falling in its place so I feel good and a little less stressful".
Daadima knew he could not mention the real reason behind his happiness and muskuraana.
Dev realized maan spoke of everything but his new romance. He decided to tease him further, "waise bro who aapki secretary kaisi hai?"
Daadima looked at him dumbfounded. Dev was going to get it back now she thought. maan replied, "who ab mere secretary nahi hai!"
"oh really, tuo ab aapke liye kaunsa kaam karti hai?" hiding his smile.
Daadima laughed out loud. She could not control it anymore. Maan looked at her angrily and said, "dev, she does not work for me anymore. I'm not her boss!"
"oh, I see! Iska matlab relationship status change hui hai!" and looked at maan grinning.
Maan shot one furious look and daadima continued her laughter. He roared, "daadima aap please hasna bandh kijiye aur tum dev kuch aur baath karo!"
"Bro, aap itna gussa kyun ho raho hai?maine sirf yeh kaha ki aapke relationship ab ek boss-secretary ki nahi hai, kyunki who aapke liye kaam nahi karti. Aapne kya socha?"
"kuch nahi!" he said angrily. Daadima realized she should stop their arguments, though she enjoyed teasing maan. She spoke up, "hum bhool gaye the! Jab kuch din pehle hum ek diamond shop inauguration ke liye gaye the aur.." and she got up and walked to her closet. She bought two bags.
"dev, this is for naintara. I know she loves diamonds so I got this for her!" she said handing over one bag to him. she then looked at maan, who understood the other bag was for geet. He looked at her and told her he would take it later, with his eyes. Daadima kept the bag aside and asked dev to take a look at them, in an attempt to distract him from asking about the second bag.
Dev opened the bag and found a golden color box with a red bow on it. He smiled and opened it and found a pair of square shaped diamong earrings and immediately responded, "wah daadiji kya choice hai aapki! She'll love them!".
Maan turned to look at the earrings and imagined geet wearing them. He then corrects his thoughts, no! he would put the earrings on her, heart shaped earrings! He blushed at the thought and looked away.
Dev put the earrings away to the side and said, "I'll give them to her tomorrow when I go back!" Both daadi and maan looked at him surprised.
Daadi asked him, "aap tuo yahi rehne waale the, thode dino ke liye! Naintara aaj nahi aa rahi hai?"
Dev remembered maan and geet together and saidy very softly, "nahi! For some people to stay together, she has to stay out of here".
Maan confused said, "kya?"
"Bro! mera matlab hai, waha kuch kaam tha, isiliye who wahi hai. Aur main uske bina nahi reh sakta, so I'll leave tomorrow. And even I have work to do! I have a huge task in hand" and smiled at the image of maan and geet again.
He quickly changed the topic and said, "chaliye ab mujhe bhook lag raha hai. The dinner is ready".
The three of them walked to the dining table. Maan just sat there with a glass of lassi. Dev looked at him and asked, "bro, kuch kha lijiye aap ek lassi leke bait gaye?"
Daadima responded, "outhouse mein dinner ho gayi hogi ya phir planning chal rahi hogi" and immediately called out to Shiv asking him to get more rotis. She did not want to see maan's reaction. she knew what it would be.
Dev smiled faintly avoiding maan's anger and thought, "how romantic maan singh khurana! I've never seen this side of you".
In his excitemement, that his bro was a changed maan now, he spat out, "Great Going Bro!" and daadima looked at him with her mouth wide open. Maan looked at him sternly and dev corrected himself clearing his throat, "mera matlab hai bro, aap kitne ziddi hai. Daadiji ne itne baar aapko ghar wapas lane ki koshish ki phir bhi aap outhouse mein hi atke hai!"
"Maan Singh Khurana wahi karta hai jo who chahta hai!" said maan haughtily.
Daadima shook her head at his arrogance and dev smiled and said, "yes bro! whatever you say".
The rest of the dinner was silent and the three of them returned to their own worlds after that. Daadima went back to her after dinner reading, dev to his room to check on his packing and maan, ofcourse fled to geet's thoughts.
Maan got back to his bedroom and sat on his bed. He recollected the incidents that happened a few hours back but he felt as though it had been ages since he took geet into his arms. He held the pillow close to himself and closed his eyes trying to relive all the wonderful memories with her yet again in his dreams.
Dev walked into his room and sat on the couch. He felt light and he whistled for sometime. He realized how important it was to have the right partner in your life. He decided to work in making his relationship with naintara better. He wanted to make her realize that money is not everything. He decided to build up the trust, faith and love in their relationship, once again. Only then, naintara would forgive him and also stop thinking about geet.It would probably be easy for her to come in terms with the truth then. Afterall, he does love her and their relationship was sinking because he broke her trust. Yes, he found the solution to his problem.
