No, in earlier episodes Geet pretty much proclaimed she was in love with Dev. So the logic of being forced into marriage doesn't work. In fact she was unwilling to believe he would ever do what he did to her when she initially returned to her maayka after the airport incident. Watch the earlier episodes again and she makes her feelings pretty clear throughout their engagement period.
Back to the TM: WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE THIS BACKWARD, UNREALISTIC, FAIRYTALE NOTION THAT YOUR FIRST LOVE IS HELD HIGHER ABOVE ALL OTHER CONSECUTIVE RELATIONSHIPS???
The majority of people in REAL life actually don't end up with their first love. So far the show has been quite realistic in the way it has portrayed emotion and circumstance. I for one think Sameera being Maan's first love would add even more depth to the story. Clearly he was hurt but we can already see his feelings for Geet are different - much deeper to the point where he doesn't even realise he's in love with her. If such feelings were seen with Sameera he would've noticed with Geet too.
I also don't mind if they do add a triangle element with Sameera. This will actually enable to value Maan even more, see his worth and maybe actually fight for her man? If we as fans can't see couples challenged and always together then we never get to see the depth of their feelings and the story then is just crap. I hope we can trust the CVs eneough to use Sameera and her memory as a vessel to get Geet to fight for Maan and bring him out of his hatred.
