Nargis, may I refer you with this name. Maan didn't have any choice left but to resort to this step. If you notice he literally tried every possible way to make her go out, however, Geet in her own stand needs the job and a place for shelter and she has has been trying to get all over the place due to her conditions.

In this time, he hasn't been able to just control himself and his emotions with her being around constantly. A person with self-denial really needs a jolt to accept and succumb to changes as he/she is afraid of consequences. Till then, the person in question will try all possible methods to procrastinate the change and that's what he's doing right now. He must have had a past or maybe his upbringing wasn't correct or he might have been a witness to certain circumstances which has forced him to close himself in a shell.

He's imprudent at first but remember he always reflects and laments for shouting on her. This shows the intensity and variation in his emotions and the emotional turmoil he's in right now.
Am sure in his heart of hearts he's in deep pain when he's says her all that. Very soon we'd see that he's severely hurt and will hold himself responsible for giving pain to Geet. We should remember he is the same person who saved her from her death-bed at one time.
And we'd see that he'd end up apologizing to her. Again during this time if any of her previous past gets revealed, his pain will be insurmountable.
