Irrevocably Yours
Chapter Three
The sound of thunder crashed through the dark sky, the grounds were moist and muddy from the irrepressible rainfall. Geet stained to see through the rain, but her attempts were futile. She looked over her drenched shoulder and to her dismay ' realized that the taxi driver had driven away. How rude! She thought to herself irritably. She had paid extra money to the driver in request that he would wait for a few minutes, but he turned out into being a fraud.
Seeing as there was no choice, Geet foolishly rushed towards the wooden bench. As she reached the bench, her foot slipped due to the mud and she almost tumbled onto the ground. Fortunately, she was able to grab onto the bench for support thus preventing her fall. Today was really not a very good day, she mused to herself.
Geet shivered uncontrollably as the cold winds slashed through her thin clothes, but she tried to pay no heed. Instead she found herself looking everywhere for her silver anklet. Her heart started to beat erratically in dread, where was her anklet? 'Please god' she pleaded whilst scanning the area, 'don't let me lose my mothers last memory'.
At that moment, Geet's eyes caught something silver flashing upon the ground. However Geet was unsure whether it was the anklet she was looking for. 'I only sat on the bench this morning' she said to herself, 'I didn't walk or stand at the edge of the cliff'. Then how on earth could the silver flash be her anklet? She thought confusingly to herself. Geet bit her lip, should she check it out? Geet felt her hands tremble in fear, her phobia of heights stopped her from moving any more forward. She was torn between her fear and the chance of finding her mothers most cherished item.
'Geet' she told herself, 'you must not be scared'. Unconsciously without realizing it, she found herself slowly walking towards the flashing silver item. She neared the end of the cliff and gulped down in absolute terror as she looked at the deadly waves. Ever so slowly, Geet crouched down onto the muddy ground and had a close look at the item. Her heart dropped in disappointment as she realized it was merely a silver coin.

A restless sigh escaped from his full lips as he placed the silver anklet deep in his pockets. He raised his head and checked if the damned rain had decreased in its intensity. Through his inspection, he caught a white figure standing dangerously close towards the edge of the cliff.
'What the hell' he muttered as he watched the foolish figure crouch onto the ground. A sudden thought came to his bewildered mind, was the person attempting suicide? With that thought in mind, Maan quickly got out of his car and ran towards the suicidal person.
'Hey you'! He shouted through the rain, 'stop ' don't jump!'
Geet was startled from the shout, as she instantly got up and spun around. Her actions were too careless and quick to handle as she found herself slipping once again. However this time there were no benches to stop her fall as she started to fall backwards into thin air. With a scream of pure terror, she felt her life flashing before her eyes. She couldn't die yet! She thought to herself, fate couldn't be so cruel to end her life without granting her three wishes.
At that second she felt a familiar yet unknown presence stand before her. She felt his muscular arms snake around her wet waist, stopping her from falling to her death. Geet opened her eyes and saw her savior for the very first time. His beautiful almond eyes was watching her intently as his arms tightened around her waist ' thus pulling her roughly against his hard chest. Her hands automatically rested on his chest, his frantic heart beat caused her fingers to tingle with its ferocity. He was breathing heavily in exertion, his breath sent shivers down her spine.
Geet snapped out of her thoughts and realized how scandalously close his face was towards her. Completely forgetting about the previous danger, she pushed against his chest ' trying to get as much distance as possible. Momentarily taken aback from her response, his arms loosened thus giving her the chance to escape. He let out a shout of protest, 'Your going to fall!' His words were cut off from the stroke of thunder as he horrifyingly watched her trip backwards.
He snaked his hands out trying to grab her flaying arms. He managed to get hold of the tip of her fingers. But to his dismay, her hands slipped from his as he watched her beautiful eyes widen in fear. With a last scream, she fell into the water. Her fragile figure was lost in the murderous waves. Without giving a single rationale thought, Maan dived into the sea; intent into saving her life.
