I think he is confused by his own feelings. He doesn't want to believe he is falling for her slowly and he thinks by scolding her he can get rid of those feeling

hmm........... maan is really by heart is attracted towards her.. n loves seeing nd admiring her beauty from far.. bt wen they cum face to face.. he want to ignore her.. its quite psychological.. yaar..
