Part 3

Finally, half the day is over, a lil bit more, you can do it geet...Ugh! i cant believe all this had to happen to me, Why did it have to be him? me yaha sab bhulna chahti hoon, aur yeh yaha mere samne rahega. Lekin pinki ne toh kaha tha ke voh kabhi kabhi office aata hai, toh shayad aaj ke baad 3, 4 mahine baad uski shakal dekhungi. Yes, thankgod! par, yeh aadmi oth, mujhe parishaan karne keliye roz aajayega..Babaji! aisa mere saath hi kyun hota hai?

Geet was a bundle of confusion when a bubbly voice inturupted her.

"Toh, sohniye, kaisa laga? ....Office? and Boss...kya dikha hai na?"

"Haaan, bilkul bandar jaisa, esa aadmi maine aaj ak nahi dekha!" and geet shot a glance across the room, to her new boss, but the blinds were closed.

"Acha? ere alawa ...no one else thinks so..hehe"

"tu office ke time pe gappe ladane ayi hai?"

"Haan...i mean nahi, me bhi kitni pagal hoon, me toh tujhe bhulane ayi thi, important meeting hai, meri, teri sasha, and boss k, jaldi kar!"

"What? tu ab bhata rahi hai? us sadu ko ek aur moka milgaya mujh par chilane ke liye! Uff....god help me, chalo!"

and they went into MK's cabin.

"Come in, Ms. Geet. We were all waiting for you. "

"Sorry Sir"

"What for? yeh toh apka hi office hai, remember? Ap jab chahe aa jaa sakti hai"

Geet looked embarassed, and Sasha smirked.

"Why did you ask for a sudden meeting Sasha?" he asked turining to sasha.

"bahot problem hogayi hai MK, the london delegates that were supposed to come a week from now are coming tomorrow insead. We just got a message from them, and they expect the presentation to be tomorrow as well."

"WHAT?! aisa kaise ho sakta hai?"

"I know, thats why we need to make sure that atleast we have a decent presentation" Looks at geet, "And since Geet is responsible for the project now that Adi has chosen her, hum toh pure fase."

MK shot a no-one-can-talk-to-her-except-for-me-look at her, and her attitude dissapeared.

"Office ka adha din toh khaam ho chuka hai, Ms. Geet, Presentation kaha tak pahocha hai?"

"Sir, its in the beginning stages, i thought i had more time than this...so i.."

"Well, you dont, so buck up...use aaj raat ko hi khatam karna padega, and i want you here. Got it?"

"Yes Sir"

"Sasha, get everything ready for the meeting tomorrow, Rashi, you help her, and try to contact adi and see if he can make it back by tomorrow; Geet, bring all the files and your laptop in my cabin, and start working on it, mujhe sari details chahiye, joh sirf tumhe pata hai. Come one everyone."

Everyone attended to their tasks.

"Mujhe isike saath rehna tha?" Geet said under her breath.

"What?" :MK

"Nothing sir, ill go get the files."

Babaji, yeh kya ho raha, pehle hi din itna kuch horaha hai, toh aage kya hoga? Me toh puri tarah se phas gayi, Meri help karo, agar presentation theek se nahi hua toh woh rakshash mujhe kacha chabajayega!

Geet brought all the nesessities into MK's cabin, and arranged them on the coffee table across MK's desk. She did as she was told until office hours were over, but she knew she had to stay back. She handed Maan all the files, and explained her work, and how she planned on finishing the presentation, each and every slide drew ou a new point that would prove beneficial to the company, Maan was impressed.

"Geet, Over here"

She stood behind MK's chair and stared at his computer screen. He explained what he wanted, and she leaned over to point at the screen what she htought should be done instead and her dupatta fell over Maan's head.

He pulled it off, slowly..and looked at her face, and eyelock.

"Sorry Sir"

He looked away, "okay, tumhe joh theek lage woh karo, lekin kai gadbad nahi honi chahiye, samjhi."

"Koi galti nahi hogi...SIR."

He got off the chair and walked off, but Geet's Duppata was caught on his watch when it had landed on his face.

She tried to break it loose, but it would keep getting even more intertwined with each twist and turn.

"Ruko...me karta hoon." He untied the big mess and Geet stared at him, and how focused he was...His jaw clenches everytime he stares at something long enough, she thought..and almost smiled when...

"Tum aurton ko kuch theek se karna nahi aata, jab duppata samhalna nahi aata toh pehenti kyun ho?" he said and looked at her as he untangled the duppata, and set it free, and he went out of the office.

"Pehenti kyun ho? toh kya nagi pungi ghoomungi? SashaTasha ki tarha?.she sat down on his chair...." kaisa banda hai yeh?! DUppata phas gaya toh isme meri kya galti hai...Khadoos kahi ka! pata nahi kya samajhta hai apne aap ko!" her hands were flying everywhere with each comment..."aggar mera boss nahi hota toh me..."

"Kya karrahi ho??" Geet looked at the door.

"Kuch nahi, me ...voh...ahem...strech..." she realised she was sitting on his chair...and bounced up immediatly. "Sorry sir." She pulled out the presentation USB and went to her coffee table.

"Ladkiyaaaan....."

It was 11:30pm, and they were still working, both stealing glances at each other when the other wasnt looking.

"Im done sir."

"Kya?"

"The presentation...tayyar hai, aap ek baar check karlijiye."

Maan walked over to the table, and sat 2 cm aprat from Geet, he picked up the laptop and and put it infront of him. He went on checking the slides...

"Impressive..." he said under his breath, and he felt a thump on his shoulder. He looked over to find Geets head fast asleep on him. He was about to shake her when a fast breeze blew the window open and sent her hair flying. Geets "laats" were all over his face. He closed his eyes as though recording the moment in his memories. He took in her scent and saw her peaceful face. He couldve have stared at her forever has, the breeze not knocked a vase over. He realized what he was doing and broke out of it. He went back to the presentation and let her head rest on his shoulder for the time being.

It was past midnight by the time, he was done. He pulled all the files and disks into a pile and hesitated but touched Geets shohulder and shook it. "Geet, Geet!"

he tried again, but she was in a deep slumber, he ddint know how he was gonna wake her, when the breeze blew hard and slammed the window to the wall. Geet awoke shocked and abrubtly...Her head banged with Maan. "Ouch" and other eyelock.

"Chalo, Kaam hogaya."

Geet looked around to avoid his gaze..."Sadhe bara bajgaye?! :O"

"Haan, chalo, tumhe ghar chod deta hoon..."

"Nahi, me chali jaungi...."

"Dont be stupid, itni raat gaye tumhe koi taxi nahi milne wali, aur lagta hai ke toofan bhi aane wala hai, chalo...mausam kharab ho, isse pehle nikalte hai."

"Lekin..."

"Tumhari problem kya hai? help karta hoon tabhi problem, nahi karta tabhi problem....chalna hai toh chalo, warna yahi ruko, subha tak." and he walked away..in his rademark AYM style.

Aggar sach me koi taxi nahi mili toh?? Inhi ke saath chali jati hoon. " and she powerwalked after him.

Maan opened the paasenger door for her, and they drove off after he got in.
