Illogical thing being shown by CVs

So I get it that Gangaa is a show based on widows life and child marriage which is very much prevalent in India.But I don't get how CVs are showing such a major mistake.Child Marriage Act or Sharda Act was passed in India in 1930 which made it illegal for girls below 18 years to be married.I had not seen the initial episodes so I wasn't very much clear about the timeline but after watching few episodes this is very clear that it is definitely modern times or definitely after independence which is 1947.So I don't understand Niranjan being a lawyer cannot help Gangaa ? Why does Gangaa has to live as a widow when the marriage is clearly null ? And she can definitely wear colourful clothes no obligation on her ! So when Niranjan is so concerned about her welfare why doesn't he tries to do something for her or treat her like Sagar or Pulkit.Being a lawyer he should know better so why isn't he speaking up ? What kind of a lawyer is he if he cant fight for a child's right which is being snatched from her.And there is a difference between choosing to lead a widow life and being forced and which on Gangaa is the latter !

I think I can give u explanation for this I dont know about north India but we belong to south india(karnataka) and in some interior parts still in some parts where our caste still practice this type of marriages now it has come down drastically but still some r following and this show actually based on that kannada show which became huge hit in kannada channel so as per traditions and customs still followed by some caste (I dont want to take the name) not even doctor or lawyer or any other they cant help it and it actually come out in the open and here eventhough niranjan is an advocate he cant go against the tradition and customs which was followed by his mother but one thing if it goes acc to kannada show then there will be so many changes in gangas character and she became an educated as well as bahu of that house

No need to name anything child marriage is prevalent everywhere in India be it north or south.See the thing is that Balika Vadhu is also a show based on child marriage but the people out there have been shown as illiterate and not somebody holding a law degree.Also I get it that in India it is very difficult to go against any culture people are ready to kill each other for speaking against but I have a problem cause Niranjan was shown as a person going against stereotypes he was the one who spoke for Gangaa lighting her fathers pyre andin North India girls are not even allowed to go till shamshan ghat forget lighting pyre.So if Niranjan can go against this practice he can definitely go against child marriage too.Maybe Niranjan does not want to go against his mothers wishes but then if he wants to help Gangaa he should speak like he has done previously because Gangaa is being forced to live that way and she has not chosen that life

AndI didn't know it was based on a kannad show.Gangaa getting educated and becoming a bahu of that house is very obvious the question is who will it be Sagar or pulkit 😉
