Roma: Terrorists ne aapko kidnap kiya? Phir aap wahan se kaise nikle?

Raj: Uss waqt sirf Col. Chandra aur Major General Gaur ko humaari zanda hone ki khabar thi, lekin jab hum pakde gaye… unhone Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan aur Captain Gunraj Singh Randhawa ko yeh baat bata diya aur unhone ek special trained team ko bhej diya, uss team ne hum dono ko bacha liya aur hum wahan se bhaag aaye.

Roma: I see. Aur kaunse officers the iss team mein?

Navin: KMA ke sabse best cadets, wahi cadets jo Lala ko apne anjaam tak pahuncha diya tha. Lt. Amardeep Huda, Lt. Ali Begh, Lt. Pooja Ghai, Lt. Yadhuvansh aur Neelu Sahani and Lt. Naina Singh Alhuwalia.

Roma: oh, toh aapki behen bhi ismein shaamil thi… Lt. Singh ka bahut bada haath tha Lala ke case mein… aur baaki sab officer's bhi.

Raj: Hum dono ne isliye apne maut ka dikhawa kiya taaki yeh saath Cadets humaari mission mein humaari madad kar sake…

The interview goes on for another half an hour where Roma continued to ask questions about this whole 'Mission Vinaash' to the two Captains while throughout the interview, Major General Gaur, Gunny and Abhimanyu watched the whole thing from the room next door. At times, Major General Gaur would tell Navin or Rajveer what to say by communicating to them via microphones.

Roma: well then, here you have it. Captain Navin Alhuwalia aur Captain Rajveer Shekhawat zinda hai aur apne mission ko successful bana diya hai… yeh ab apne senior officers se apne orders ke liye ruke hai… this is Roma Shetty from Channel 6 at the K.S studio signing off.

5 minutes later saw Rajveer, Navin, Abhimanyu, and Gunny leaving the studio's trying to make it alive through the crowd of press and civilian's who had created a mob outside the studio. Once they were safely inside their car, they decided to stop by at a small caf for breakfast since they had not had the time in the morning for one.

As the four friends sat in the caf in a corner, hidden from public's eye, Rajveer thought that this was the perfect time to tell Navin about him and Naina. The interview tension was over and now the next one began.

"Well that went very well. Kyun Raj?" Navin asked his friend.

"Haan, it was good." Rajveer replied.

"It's a good thing that everything has been cleared. Now, the two of you have become celebrities all over India." Gunny told them.

"Hmm… celebrities banana ke baad hum dono ko mat bhool jao… after all, hum donoo ke bina bhi yeh sab mumkin nahi tha." Abhimanyu said.

"Of course hum tumhe bhoolenge nahi, dost… hum humesha dost bane rahenge…" Navin said.

"Raj? Kya hua, tum itne tensed kyun ho? Kuch hua kya?" Abhimanyu asked him.

"Veer…koi problem hai?" Navin asked.

"Sort of… Navin, mujhe tumse bahut zaoori baat karni hai…"

"Haan toh kaho, kya baat hai?"

"The thing is ki… Navin… main tumhaari behen se pyaar karta hoon. I love Naina." Rajveer said to Navin finally revealing the fact to Navin and his friends.

There was a minute of silence where Rajveer sat quietly trying to decipher whether Navin's face looked angry or not. Abhimanyu and Gunny were also quiet but they were busy exchanging funny, goofy glances with each other. Finally, Navin broke the silence.

"Mujhe pata hai ki you love Naina."

"You do?"

"Yes, par sawaal yeh hai ki kya Naina bhi tumse pyaar karti hai?" Navin asked.

"Haan, woh bhi mujhse pyaar karti hai."

"Well then, main kya kar sakta hoon?"

Another pause.......

"Congrats yaar, Veer. Tum toh khamakha darr gaye the… main tum dono ke liye bahut khush hoon, after all, tum mere best friend ho aur Naina meri behen… what more could I have asked for? Naina ko tumse perfect koi nahi mil sakta."

"Congrats Raj… tum toh cha gaye…" Gunny told him.

"Haan, tum aur Naina ek saath khush rahoge…congratulations." Abhimanyu said.

"Thanks guys, main toh darr gaya tha, agar tumne humaare relationship ko inkaar kiya tha toh…." Rajveer told Navin.

"Inkaar? Bhala main kyun inkaar karta? Veer, tum ab bhi waise ke waise hi ho, jaise KMA mein the…"

"I'm not, main badal chukka hoon."

"Nahi Raj, Navin sach keh raha hai, remember jab hum KMA mein bhi the toh aisa kuch hi hua tha… humaare ek batch-mate ke saath…" Gunny said.

And so, the argument went on amongst the four friends. It had been too long since they had had so much fun like this. All four of them were happy to be together again, to remain friends forever and stick beside each other till the end.

Soon after; Navin, Rajveer, Gunny and Abhimanyu left the caf and set off for the chalet. It wasn't an easy task for the media people and the crowds were tryinig to block the roads so that they could speak to them. It was only after they decided to use a couple of shortcuts and detours did the four of them manage to shake the media off their backs.

While the four of them were headed home, everyone was waiting for them, and while they were waiting, they were discussing the interview amongst themselves. Naina, who had yet to speak to Aalekh decided to finish it now. She got up from her conversation with Pooja and went over to Aalekh who was talking to Neelu.

"Aalekh, mujhe tumse baat karni hai." She said to him.

"Haan Naina bol, kya hua?"

"Yahan nahi, kya hum bahar jaa ke baat kar sakte hai?"

"Theek hai, Neelu… apun abhi aata hai… chal Naina."

Together, the two of them leave the den quietly and go out the back door towards the garden. Once they seat themselves on a swing, Naina takes a deep breath and speaks.

"Aalekh, woh baat yeh hai ki…" She starts to say.

"Ki…tune Rajveer sir se keh diya kit u usse pyaar karti hai…. Hai na?" Aalekh tells her.

"Haan, lekin tujhe kaise pata chal gaya ki maine…" Naina asked him, looking confused.

"Arre, ismein pata chalne ki baat kya hai… apun subah se dekh raha hai ki tu bahut hi khush hai, tere chehre pe saaf saaf dikh raha hai kit u aaj bahut hi khush hai, aur tere khushi toh Rajveer sir se hi hai, toh apun pehle hi samajh gaya tha…"

"Oh… toh kya tum khush ho?" Naina asked him.

"haan Naina, apun bahut khush hai, kyunki itne saal baad apun tujhe itna khush dekh raha hai… KMA ke dino mein hi apun ne tereko apna behen banaya tha aur aaj ek bhaai hokar, apun jaanta hai ki tu hamesha khush hi rahegi."

"Thanks Aalekh… tum bilkul Navin bhaiyya ke jaise ho… it's like tum dono carbon copies ho…"

"Car coppie?' Aalekh said looking quite confused.

"Car coppie nahi, carbon copies… matlab tum aur Navin ek hi jaise ho…"

"Accha, haan toh apun bhi wohich bol raha tha…"

Suddenly, they hear a car honk from the front of the house; they head back inside to find that Major General Gaur had arrived along with Roma Shetty. Just seconds after they entered the house, a second car pulled up outside and Rajveer, Navin, Abhimanyu and Gunny came inside the house and were quite surprised to see their senior officer waiting for them along with Roma.

"Sir, aap yahan?" Navin asked his senior.

"Ah, Captains, accha hua ki aap sab aa gaye, mujhe aap sab se baat karni thi isliye yahan chala aaya…" Major General replied.

"Aur Miss. Roma? Aap yahan, achanak?" Gunny asked her.

"Main Major General Gaur ke saath aayi hoon…Captain Randhawa…"

"Hum sab yahan khade kyun hai, why don't we all go inside and sit… Major, after you." Shalini said.

"Thank you Doctor, Lieutenants, aap bhi aaiye…" Major General told them.

"Yes sir…" Ali replied.

Together they all went inside the chalet and sat in the den where Major General Gaur spoke about what was going to happen next.

"Right, so ab jab ki interview khatam ho chukka hai… Captain Rajveer and Captain Navin, aap dono ko apna positions army mein waapis mil gaya hai aur aapke fellow colleagues ke saath-saath aap dono ko 'Major' ka promotions mil gaya hai…toh ab aap chaaron Majors ban gaye hai… yeh raha aapka promotion letters." M.G. Gaur told them, handing them an envelope.

"Wow, sirs, aap sab Majors ban gaye hai… congratulations." Yudi said.

"Thank you Lt. Yudi." Gunny replied.

"Thank you sir." Rajveer said.

"Yes well, this is just the start of many surprises…" Major General Gaur said.

"Aapka matlab hai ki aur bhi surprises hai, sir?" Abhiamnyu asked.

"Ji haan. Doosri surprise yeh hai ki KMA ka naya saal shuru hone waala hai kuch hafton mein aur naye faculty member's ka decision bhi hua hai…"

"Naye faculty members?" Navin asked.

"Haan, kyunki is saal humne do naye subjects introduce kiye hai; ek toh Guerilla warfare hai aur doosra hai advanced weaponry training… yeh raha list, jismein sabko apni duties di gayi hai…"

Another envelope was given by Major General Gaur to Abhimanyu this time, who opened it and read out everyone's duties:

Brigadier Chandok and Suriji were still fulfilling their respective duties; Dr. Shalini was now the new Vice-principal of KMA, Abhimanyu and Gunny were the commanding officers of Guerilla warfare, Navin was the new communications and strategy teacher, Rajveer and Aalekh were the commanding officers of advanced weaponry training, Naina was replacing Lolita ma'am as she had left and Neelu was in charge of the infirmary.

The rest of the officers had received their duty orders; Huda and Yudi were posted in Shimla while Ali and Pooja had been posted in Delhi. Although they had been posted differently, it was a good thing that their friends had been posted at places near Ambala so that it would be easy for them to meet up when they had the time to. Everyone still had 15 days of holidays left before they reported to their duties. Major General Gaur then continued with his news and reached the important part.

"Aap sabko yeh lag raha hoga ki maine Ms. Roma Shetty ko yahan pe bulaya kyun? Woh isliye hai kyunki kuch samay ke liye main chahta hoon ki yeh aap sab ke saath rahe, if it is no problem for you all."

"No sir, humein koi problem nahi hai…" Abhimanyu replied a bit too quickly, but fortunately Major General Gaur didn't mind.

"Good. One last thing, teen dino baad KMA mein ek function hone waala hai, to honour Capt, I mean Major Rajveer and Naveen. Wahan par minister saheb aur uski beti humaare chief guests honge, toh main chahta hoon ki function se pehle Roma, Minister ka interview yahan le… woh aur uski beti, Sameera kal subah Delhi se yahan pahunch rahe hai so I expect that you all do your best to make the Minister comfortable here."

"Yes sir, hum poori zimmedaari lenge…" Navin said.

"Okay, then that's it. Mujhe ab chalna chahiye, I have a meeting with Brigadier Chandok in an hour. I'll take your leave now everyone." Major General Gaur told them.

"Sir, main aapko aapki gaadi tak chodta hoon." Gunny said.

"Sure Major Randhawa, chaliye…"

Once Major General Gaur leaves with Gunny, everyone else begins discussing their new duties and positions as teachers in KMA… it is only when Huda suddenly stands up and shouts for attention does everyone fall silent.

"Abbey shaane, tu kaiko itna chilaata hai… apun sab behre nahi hai…" Aalekh said looking angry for he had been talking about something with Neelu who looked equally annoyed.

"Jaanta hoon kaidi ki hum sab behre nahi hai, lekin mujhe ko ek announcement karna hai…"

"Haan toh jaldi bolo na, hum sabko zyada talktime nahi hai, Jatt…"

"Oye punjaban, sun toh… aaj shaam ko ek party hai… Huda ki treat hai…"

"Bhai wah Lt. Huda, kis khushi mein yeh party ho rahi hai…." Abhiamnyu asked.

"Sir, party aapke promotion aur humaare duties ke liye…" Huda said.

"Don't forget ki yeh party asal mein Major Rajveer and Major Navin ke liye rakhi jaa rahi hai Huda…" Yudi said.

"Oh haan, woh bhi… toh party shaam ke saath baje shuru hogi…" Huda said…

"Aur kahan ho rahi hai yeh party, Huda?" Naina asked him.

"Oye meri Phoolan Devi, party toh yahan nahi hogi na… hum log Blue Lagoon jaa rahe hai… chalogi mere saath?" Huda asked smirking at Naina.

"Abbey, agar Naina jaana bhi chahti, toh tere saath nahi chalti…" Aalekh told him.

"Kyun bhai kaidi?" Huda asked still unaware of the fact that Rajveer and Naina were together now.

"Kyunki jatt, Naina ka lifetime connection Shahrukh ke saath jud gaya hai… free incoming, outgoing sab kuch…" Pooja told him.

"K…kya? Naina aur…" Huda said stammering as he realized what Pooja had just told him.

"Yes Lt. Huda, meri behen aur Raj ab ek saath hai…" Navin told Huda, almost on the verge of laughing.

"Oh… koi baat nahi, punjaban mere saath party mein chalogi?" Huda asked Pooja trying to find some luck.

"Main to Ali ke saath jaa rahi hoon…" Pooja said.

"Neelu, tu toh kisi ke saath nahi jaa rahi hai, na? Iss jatt ke saath nahi chalogi?" Huda said knowing that this too would go in vain.

"I'm sorry Huda, main tumhaare saath chalti, but Aalekh asked me before, toh main uske saath hi jaoongi…"

"What? Neelu, tum Aalekh ke saath jaa rahi ho?" Yudi asked looking surprised.

"Lt. Sahani, itna nervous hone ki zaroorat nahi hai, tumhaari behen sirf party ke liye Lt. Aalekh ke saath jaa rahi hai, aap relax kar sakte hai…" Abhimanyu told Yudi.

"Err… alright. Toh phir, Shalini ma'am kya aap mere saath party mein chalogi?"

"Sure Yudi, main party mein tumhaare saath chaloongi."

"Ms. Roma, aap kiske saath jaa rahi hai?" Rajveer asked her.

"Mujhe pata nahi tha ki main bhi party ke liye invited thi…" She replied.

"Of course tum party mein aa rahi ho, tum ab humaare saath yahan reh rahe ho toh humaare saath party mein bhi chalogi…" Navin told her, "Ek kaam karo, why don't you go with Abhi?"

"Hum?" Abhimanyu asked, looking flushed.

"Haan kyun nahi, Chauhan, tum Roma ke saath party mein jao…" Rajveer told his friend.

"Theek hai, humein koi problem nahi hai…"

"Mujhe bhi nahi hai, in fact Captain Abhimanyu ke saath mazaa aayega…" She said, muttering the last part under her breath so that no one except Abhimanyu would hear what she said.

"Toh Gunny aur Huda kya karenge?" Navin said.

"Main toh akele jaa raha hoon sir, Huda ka jadoo kisi bhi janani par nahi chal raha hai, behtar yahi hoga ki main akele hi party mein jaoon."

"Chinta mat karo Hudabhai, hum sabke liye koi na koi toh bana hai, aapke liye bhi koi hoga... bas thoda sa intezaar karna hoga…"

It was then did Huda do a weird unexpected thing which shocked everyone and made them laugh as well… he began singing...


"Intehaa ho gayi, intezaar ki,
Aayi na kuch, khabar mere pyaar ki,
Yeh humein hai yakeen, bewafaa who nahi,
Phir wajah kya hui intezaar ki…"

"Shouldn't we tell him that it's 'yaar' and not 'pyaar' sir?" Yudi asked Rajveer.

"It's alright Lt. Yudi, Huda iss waqt apne pyaar ke liye gaa raha hai… yaar ke liye nahi…" Rajveer replied.
