Recap: Ayan signed the divorce papers. RanKan are going to his house.
Part 17:
The drive to Ranbir's house was about 20 minutes but it was quiet. None of them said a word but instead enjoyed the silence. Ranbir held onto one of her hands and she rested her head on his shoulder. Kanya still couldn't believe that she was now officially separated from Ayan and he could never interfere in her life again.
R: kanya, sweety we're here.
She lifted her head and saw the huge Nanda mansion. She smiled at the thought of her and ranbir living there with everyone.
R: come lets go in
Hand in hand they walked into the house to be greeted by everyone. Malika, Big D, Aditya, Shanaya, and the rest of the family were all there. Malika apologized to kanya and ranbir for not accepting there relationship at first.
K: no aunty its okay. We made a mistake and you had every reason to be mad at us
M: call my maa, beta.
K: yes mom
She hugged her and then touched her feet. She then did the same to Big D and some of Ranbirs other aunts and uncles. She then went and hugged Shanaya who was so happy. They were now going to best friends and sister-in-laws.
Kanya loved the whole atmosphere of the house. The day had passed by just sitting and talking to everyone in the family. Ranbir was lost in his own world just staring at kanya. He hadn't seen her so happy in so long. Her face was glowing and she looked gorgeous in a red sari. He decided that after this day kanya would always wear sari's and he would buy her the prettiest ones.
Around the evening, Malika invited the Godboles over to dinner. This would give them a chance to meet each other and also discuss the wedding, which was to take place in a few days.
Kanya was even happier now, as both her families were together. Once everyone was busy talking and mingling with one another, Kanya found Ranbir and took him upstairs to the library (where they once fell asleep together)
R: kanya are you happy?
K: are you kidding me? Im soo happy. Its like God has become very happy with me and is giving me every joy in the world. Within a few weeks I've gained so much, so much that sometimes I think it's a dream.
R: snap out of it jaan, because this is no dream. You deserve the whole worlds happiness. And in the future I promise to keep you this happy. I will give you everything and anything you want.
She puts her arms around his shoulders and leans on hischest
K: All I want is you. Nothing else. You're the one that taught me to live again after I had broken down and become like a robot. I love you so much and my world is incomplete without you
R: not only me. Our world is incomplete until our little one comes.
He touches her bare stomach to feel his child. They both stare into each others eyes and smile. Having him touch her, kanya felt so safe and warm. She now leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss on his lips. He pulled her closer and closer. He wanted her so badly but had to be careful because she was pregnant.
There kiss and little makeout session was interrupted by Shanaya.
S: okay I'm sorry for interrupting you guys, BUT everyone is waiting for you downstairs. So come now.
She turns to walk away but then turns around and catches them just staring into each others eyes again.
S: Ahem, they want you now! (she leaves the room laughing and they follow behind her, kanya blushing from being caught by Shanaya)
When they reach downstairs they see everyone sitting around and talking. Pammi extends her hand out and Kanya goes and sits with her mom. Ranbir is about to follow her but is stopped by Aditya.
A: yo Ranbir, trust me don't already become your wifes slave. Otherwise you'll end up like me. Look whats happened to me in a few weeks
Shanaya walks over and does her annoying cry and starts hitting him on his arm. Everyone laughs at them and Ranbir uses this moment to go sit next to his mom. Right across from Kanya.
Everyone gets busy talking again about the wedding. The date is now set for 3 days later.
Pammi: Alright Mallika Ji, we should go now. We have so much to prepare for in 3 days.
M: yes I understand. We have so much to do too. But remember we only want our Bahu and lots of love and a simple wedding.
Pammi: yes of course. Come on Kanya beta, lets go
K: wait, what?
P: Kanya lets go home
K: But…I…umm…Ranbir?
Ranbir is confused to. He doesn't want Kanya to leave him
R: Pammi the Mummy, I think Kanya should stay with me. What if she needs something? I really think she should just stay with me.
Big D: oye, ranbir puttar she can't stay with you yet. Just wait 3 more days. And its not like shes going to some strangers home, shes going to her own.
P: yes beta, your Big D is right.
Kanya looks at Ranbir and there both really sad. None of them want to leave each other, but they have no option. Kanya leaves with her family, but before she does she gives Ranbir one last kiss alone.
K: I'll see you in 3 days
R: damn, there 3 days better pass by fast!
The wedding preparations were in full swing at both houses. Kanya was told to rest by her family and she spent most of the time on the phone with Ranbir. They talked about everything but mainly about the Baby that would come in 8 months. Kanya told him about all the dancing and singing going on at her house and he told her that his family was soo annoying and always forcing him to sit amongst them. He loved his family but that meant he couldn't be on the phone with Kanya. The 2 days flew by fast and now it was wedding Day.
Kanya couldn't sleep all night and the next morning woke up early. She looked at her wedding lehnga and it was beautiful. It was a light pink with heavy gold embroidery. The jewellery with it was even nicer; it was like antique Jodha-Akbar style jewellery. She wore a nose ring with a chain attaching to her earring. She really did look like a princess, as her Mom and family members kept on saying.
Ranbir on the other hand lay awake all night just staring at Kanya's picture and talking to it. Then in the morning he slept in and Aditya and his other cousins, Shlok and Arth had to throw water at him to wake him up. Once he woke, he ran all over the place soo confused. He forgot where he put his sherwani, he couldn't find his shoes, his favourite cologne was done. And on top of that, the "crazy" women in his house (Big D, Malika, Shanaya, and other aunts) were just singing and dancing downstairs.
They finally stopped and helped him get ready. He looked hot as ever and got on a horse to head over to the Godboles.
They wedding finally happened. They were now officially Mr. and Mrs. Ranbir Nanda. Kanya cried at the thought of leaving her parents, but when she saw Ranbir's assuring look, she knew that she would never have to miss her parents and could visit them anytime she wanted to.
When they got to the Nanda mansion, Kanya was welcome by Malika into the house. She tipped a pot of rice and walked in red KumKum water into the house. She was introduced to all the relatives and played little games with Ranbir to see who would wear the pants in the relationship. They both one an equal amount of games, so it was declared that they would equally rule. After all the games were done and relatives left, Shanaya took kanya up to her room.
When Shanaya opened the door to Ranbir's room, it was decorated beautifully. There were candles and flowers every where. She lead her over to the bed and made her sit there.
S: have fun tonight Kanya Bhabhi.
She winked at her and left.
Soon Ranbir came in and was shocked with the sight. Kanya looked like a fairy sitting in the dim light and flowers. When she saw him she got shy and looked down. He went and sat infront of her on the bed and slowly lifted her face so she looked into his eyes. He kissed her gently on her lips and then passionately. He put all the love in the past 3 days into it that he didn't see her.
He slowly took her jewellery off and kissed her everywhere. They talked for a bit but then fell asleep in each others arms.

Eight months later, Kanya gave birth to a very healthy baby Boy. Ranbir and Kanya had though of many possible names for the baby but when they saw the baby, automatically at the same time they thought of the same name, Angad. He was now called Angad Nanda. He had his dad's eyes and his mom's eyes and nose.
About 2 years later, Kanya and Ranbir had another baby and this time it was a girl. They named her Khushboo. There family was now complete. They had every happiness and there love grew more and more. Ranbir was the perfect husband and father. He played with the kids before he went to work and came home early to spend time with kanya too. Kanya was also the perfect mother and wife. She played and raised her children to be good human beings but was still a young girl at heart and still blushed when Ranbir was kissing her.
They were the perfect family. And Ranbir would always tell his kid the story of how they met and fell in love.
R: you know the moment I saw her I knew ke kuch to hua hai….
….and they lived Happily ever after. 😊
