After coming back to India from Australia, it was as if no one was surprised at armaan's proposal apart from her; it was as if she had been the only one not let it on the joke. Of course they were happy but it was nothing new to them, they knew it was all going to happen and that she would answer in a yes; but still their faces were shocked when they had seen the rock that glistened on riddhima's finger now.

Armaan had gone to the extreme to get a beautiful Tiffany & Co engagement ring. She was taken back by the cost but Armaan immediately said No to getting something cheaper, replying in the exact same words of 'it's a once in a life time chance… and it will be forever… and like they say diamonds are a girls best friend… so don't say no just because of the price tag…'

"here we are…" spoke Anjali parking just outside the white building, that glowed in lights, "chal…" nodding riddhima stepped out, lifting up her light blue and cream lengha her heels stepped out onto the pebbles, looking over to Anjali dressed in a hot pink sari showing of her figure riddhima composed her self and together they walked up the stairs into the hall.

"Why is it so dark?" Riddhima asked looking around at the dead silent hall lights had been turned of apart from a few candles which showed a stair case at the back of the hall, "pata nahin…chal andar jaiye…" walking through the main arch way into the hall she stopped as the lights flickered on and a sudden noise of "SURPRISE" her eyes flew open to face what was in front of her.

Before her, stood hundreds of people shouting surprise at her, Anjali smiled mischievously as she pulled riddhima further in the hall as she stood struck by shock.

From Rahul to Muskaan, atul to Shubhankar and Keerti, Padma and last to Armaan; all dressed formally with smiles upon there faces, her eyes stayed on Armaan dressed in a matching crme sherwani with a smile plastered on his face.

"yeh sab kya hain…." She said softly but loud enough for all to hear, "tumhare aur Armaan ke liye engagement party… you wouldn't give us one so we gave you one…" answered Rahul as walked over to riddhima, "we couldn't let you get away like that without giving us all a reason to party…" put in Muskaan, they all laughed as riddhima went and stood in between Padma and Armaan she looked at everyone thanking them for the wonderful surprise.

"welcome to the family beta…I've dreamed of this day… shashank aur smriti bahut khush honge…" spoke padma as she caressed riddhima's cheeked and kissed her forehead, moving along to see the other guests she left riddhima and Armaan alone.

"tumne mujhe bataya kyun nahin…at least I wouldn't be as shocked as I was…" Armaan held her waist and smiled, "this isn't the end…" he said quickly pecking her on the cheek and walking away, standing there confused riddhima looked around as she heard music playing in the background.

Spinning her around to face the back, they joined the girls as they sang and danced with few other friends, armaan stood beside her swinging along to the beat…

Armaan circled around her singing, as she laughed holding her hand up to her face she slightly blushed, looking at him she ran away from the embarrassment to the girls

He wouldn't go that easily following her he took hold of her wrists and pulled her close, her eyes widened in horror and embarrassment as everyone's eyes were on them.

He then once again spun her as he went to rahul and atul singing and dancing along to her, she caught a glimpse of him winking at her while he sang increasing her embarrassment meter and making her turn crimson red.

Walking around the hall she sang, as she danced with the little kids the happiness was evident on her face, she moved around to Anjali and Muskaan as she sang hugging her by the side with tears forming around her eyes in delight.

She was pulled by Atul and Rahul, to the middle singing and dancing along.

Padma went and stood beside riddhima and Armaan, holding riddhima's hands she walked along with her pointing out to the stars in the night's sky that shone down on them through the large window.

Kissing her on the forehead she sang and as she sung the sweet words they reminded Riddhima of her mother, tears formed on the rims of her eyes and as they were about to fall Padma wiped them away giving a meaningful smile as if she knew what was happening in her thoguhts.

Armaan came up and pulled both his mother and fiance to the dance floor making riddhima forget all of her sorrows and only making her think about the future, the future they had together.

The song ended to armaan and riddhima in each others arms, she looked up at him to his eyes, silently thanking him for all that he had given and all he was about to give to her; kissing her lightly on her forehead he held her tight closing his eyes to embrace the moment.

"I love you…" she whispered quietly to him…

You don't know the definition of NO…" "and you don't know how to say NO!" he replied back, she shook her head and let out an angry sigh, "you… you…" she said pointing her finger at him, "will never change… arghh…." He tried keeping his laugh to himself but every time he saw her like this he couldn't help but laugh, "haso haso… khul ke haso… one day I will show you…" "sorry hun… not scientifically possible…" "to hell with science…chal hath…" pushing him out of they way she waddled over to the bed, "mama phir se gussa ho?" hearing a soft voice she saw him in armaan's arms, "papa phir se mama ke anger management problems hain?" armaan quickly shut his eyes hoping that riddhima had not heard, opening them again he looked at there 2 years old son, "shh bacha aise nahin kehna…" "par papa aapne aise hi kiya tha…" walking over to them both riddhima nodded, "of course… tumhare papa hi aise ke sakte hain…par sach toh keh rahe hain na… anger management problems…haina armaan?" gulping he put Rishi down and looked at riddhima, "darling aise kuch bhi nahin hain… joke keh rahe tha…" "haan haan joke…" "see… har baat par tum gussa hote ho…" "toh phir mujhe anger management classes par kyun nahin bejte ho? Hmm?" angrily she walked out the bedroom doors and down stairs into the kitchen.

"phir se gussa…" "shh…rishi… kuch bhi nahin anadar reh sakte tumhare peth main… chal mummy ko sorry kehdiye…" letting out a sigh he picked Rishi in his arms and went towards the kitchen.

"mama…." Rishi spoke as he tugged on riddhima's salwar suit, "mama….chorry…" he said with sadness in his voice, she turned around to see her baby looking up at her, at that second her heart melted picking up Rishi and placing him on the bench top she looked at him, "it's alright bacha…" kissing him on the forehead she straightened out his clothes, "mama ek baat batao? Papa kehte hain ke aap gussa hote hain kyun baby aapko dard karte hain kya yeh sach hain?" he asked patting his mum's full grown stomach, riddhima laughed; "nahin bacha… aise kuch nahin hain… pata nahin ke tumhare papa kya bakwaas kehte hain tumko…." "bakwas?" she heard his voice and there he stood leaning against the frame of the kitchen door, "so your telling me when I say that I love you to your child… that I'm lying? Not fair…" she looked at him with a watever look, "joking joking…" he replied hugging her from the back, as he rested his chin on her shoulder he held her stomach, "sowi?" "it's alright… but I still blame you for this…" she said pointing down at her large pregnant stomach, he laughed "but you still are happy na" "always armaan… you have given me everything… I can't wish for anything more…" he smiled kissing her quickly on the lips while Rishi looked down at the plate of cookies lying beside him, licking his lips in temptation he looked up at his mother, "please?" he asked, "fine but only one…" nodding he picked up the cookie and jumped of the bench running out the kitchen.

Like Shah Rukh khan had said in Kuch kuch hota hain, Pyar dosti hain; it's true without friendship no love can be formed between the two; but I also find with out love no friendship can be formed. We need someone who we can trust and rely upon, and love doesn't always have to be between a guy and a girl; we love our friends and that's what makes any relationship grow stronger.

All love that has not friendship for its base,
Is like a mansion built upon the sand.

Welcome back. Buy whats this, you gave us a surprise by ending Hum-Tum so soon. It was a very cute story. But anyhow i enjoyed it a lot. The last part was very sweet. and I liked the scene between Armaan, Riddhima and Rishi. Rishi is so cute...😊

Thought i like the way you pen donw the story, but i specailly like one thing abut your writing skills and thats the song parts. I mean the way you decribe the songs are really wonderful. You should be a choreographer.😃
