Part 46:
Josh waved to Angad who was walking out of the airport with his lugguage cart. Angad quickly walked up to him and gave him a brotherly hug.
Angad: whats up bro?? Kya baat hai...bahut weight lose kar diya hai.......Kripa kahan hai?
Josh(on the phone told the person to excuse him): Angad...jaldi aao.....baat karne ka time nahi hai....its important...hurry!!!!
Angad followed quietly as he found urgency in Josh's voice.
Josh: I checked there....they dont have it!!!......ok fine..........yea.........i'll check there....
Josh hung up.
Angad: kya hua? bahut busy lag rahe ho....any problem?
Josh: BIG PROBLEM DUDE!!!I have to stop at Terry's bakery and then at Jack's Candy shop....
Angad: ohkkkk.......so whats so important about the bakery and candies??
Josh: tu abhi nahi samjhega....kisi ki zindagi aur maut ka sawaal hai..
Angad(lost): What?!? Kiski?
Josh: MERI!!!
Josh again engaged himself in a phone call asking directions to the two stores. Angad sat there confused and bored. He had come back after three months. Everyone except for Kripa knew that fact and yet Josh had no time to talk to his brotherly friend. At last Josh and Angad reached Khanna house. Josh quickly got out of the car and rushed inside.
Angad: great...itne lambe safar ke baad bhi mera lugguage mujhe khud hi le jana hoga....akhir yeh sab ho kya raha hai??
Teddy came and took Angad's bags away. Angad stepped into the house and saw that is was the same. Nothing had changed. Where was everyone though? Josh just came in...where had he disappeared. Dilip would be at work but where was Naina? Dadi? Kripa? Aliyah?. Angad ran up the stairs to his room and to his shock and surprise. It was empty. there was nothing except for empty furniture. All their pictures were gone too. he was walking back downstairs when he heard Naina.
Naina: TEDDY.....Yeh lo....yeh cake jaldi se Kripa aur Aliyah ko dedo varna woh dono pura ghar sar pe utha lengi....uss din ki tarah phir se hungama mach jayega....
Naina walked back into the kitchen without even noticing Angad there.
Angad(thinking to himself): Aliyah ne aur Kripa ne sirf cake ke liye in sab ko itna pareshaan kar rakha hai....aur kuch din pehle hungama hua tha?? H kya raha hai??
Angad followed teddy who went to the guestroom. Angad stood near the doorway wanting to surprise Kripa but just then Josh came running.
Josh: kya yaar...tune bataya nahi mein yeh chocolates to car mein hi bhul aya tha......Meri behen aur Meri biwi mujhe maar dalegi agar meine yeh inko jaldi nahi di....aur tu yahan kyun khada hai...move aside yaar...or else I am dead meat!
Josh rushed inside as well. Angad peeped in and saw Kripa and Aliyah sitting on the bed together covered in a blanket. Josh handed them the chocolates.
Josh: PLEASE TELL ME THAT WAS THE END OF YOUR LIST!!!!
Aliyah: for now it is.....thank you!!!
Kripa: thanks bhai...
Josh: mein abhi bahar jaata hoon....varna aap dono ko kuch aur yaad aa jayega...
Aliyah slowly got up. Angad smiled as he saw the bulged tummy. his Nephew or Neice was in there breathing.
Kripa: Sambhal ke Aliyah.....
Now Angad noticed something he didnt all this time.
Angad(thinking to himself): Kripa se door reh kar meine itna weight lose kar diya hai....lekin lagta hai Kripa ne weight gain kar liya hai...abhi jau ya phir thodi der aur wait karu?
It was too late. Naina already saw Angad at the door peeking in and screamed 'Angad'. Angad quickly hid and went to him mom before she yelled again. Little did he know that Kripa and Aliyah had already heard Naina scream the first time around. Angad was about to hug Naina but Naina moved when she saw Aliyah and Kripa RUNNING.
Naina: TUM DONO RUKO WAHIN PAR!! Aaraam se...dont run!!!!
Angad turned around and looked at Kripa who was smiling as if she won a lottery. Angad walked up to her and gave her a tight hug.
Naina: ANGAD! CHODO USSE!!
Angad was getting irritated now. What was with the weird behaviour in Khanna house? Was it always like this? It probably seemed weird because he was living among the most quietest people in the world. Where he studied, everyone was so busy studying that he couldnt even tell his room mate, Kartik, was present sometimes.
Naina: Kya Angad...thoda khayal karo na?
Angad: kya hua mom?? Aap sab itna weirdly behave kyun kar rahe ho?? Itne dino baad dekh raha hoon mein Kripa ko....I just gave her a hug....
Aliyah: Oh my god bhai!! Aapko abhi bhi realize nahi hua? Zara theek se dekhiye Kripa ko..
Angad: dekha meine....pyaar ki judaai sehte sehte mein patla ho gaya lekin lagta hai aap sab ne Kripa ki bahut acchi tarah se dekhbhaal ki hai...kaafi weight put on kar liya hai...
Naina, Aliyah, and Kripa laughed while Angad gave them all "you-are-absolutely-insane" look. angad pulled Kripa in front of him and scanned her head to toe then back to her face again. Just then, his eyes widened and moved right back to her stomach. She was pregnant. It wasnt noticeable in the maternity dress she was wearing but if you looked carefully, you could tell she was pregnant. He looked up at her again for confirmation but found her looking down and blushing instead. He quicky went behind her and hugged her tightly around her shoulders as he screamed and laughed with joy.
Angad: Oh My God! When did you find out??
Kripa: a week after I told you about Aliyah..
Angad: and you never told me?????
Kripa: that is not my fault......Mom ne kaha tha Angad ko surprise denge.....unhone mujhe bata diya tha ki tum teen mahine mein vapas aa jaoge....
Angad: how long has it been??
Kripa: five months...just like aliyah....
Josh: only five months???...eversince we found out..its been only two months????? Man...the last two months were absolutely crazy....these two were driving us INSANE.....
Angad hugged Kripa once again and this is when they realized how much they had missed each other. In the excitement, they had completely forgotten that they had stayed away from each other for whole 3 months. Naina signaled Everyone to leave them alone. Kripa pulled away from Angad when she felt something streaking down her arm. She knew right away Angad was crying.
Kripa(tearful herself): Angad...abb kyun ro rahe ho?? Ab to hum saath hai na....and hopefully mera passport ka problem bhi solve ho jayega to ab agli baar jab bhi kahin jayenge to saath saath jayenge...
Angad: you have no idea how much i missed you Kripa...each moment without you seemed a like a lifetime..
Kripa: I missed you too...tumhi kehte ho na ki beeti hui baato ko bhul jao....to ab tum bhi bhul jao....we're with each other again and thats all that matters.....that and our baby..
Angad: I am so disappointed....i didnt want to miss a single expression of your face in these precious nine months.....i already missed out on five..
Kripa: well..techincally....you were with me for my first two months.....then went away for the mid three months....and you already saw me through this phase last time...aur peechli baar jo hua tha...waise phir se iss baar na ho isi liye mujhe nau mahino ke liye neeche shift kar diya gaya hai...
Angad: oh..is that why our room is empty?
Kripa: yup...(took his hand and lead him into their "new" room)..see...sab kuch waise hi rakha hai jaise upar waale kamre mein tha....
Angad thanked Kripa in his mind for taking themselves away from the others. After the long separation if three months, Angad wanted to spend special time with her. Angad had a "plan" but Kripa had found something that interested her more than angad appearantly. She went, sat on the bed, and started nibbling on the chocolate bar Josh had gotten for her and aliyah. Angad smiled at her looking cute in that state and eating chocolate like a small kid. He went and kneeled before her.
Kripa: you want??
Angad(shook his head sideways): no...but tell me one thing....sirf chocolate aur cake ke liye tumne aur aliyah ne sabko itna pareshaan kyun kar rakha hai??
Aliyah(walking into the room): Woh aap nahi samjhoge bhai...Its called pregnancy cravings...me and Kripa both crave for the same thing....no one lets us go out so we asked josh to bring them for us while he was picking you up...
Angad: mom kuch keh rahi thi...about some hungama...
Aliyah: that wasnt Kripa's fault...it was my fault..i started yelling for a chocolate milkshate at 3 AM....
Angad: At 3 AM???
Kripa: exactly...see....we get our cravings for anything at anytime....
Aliyah(picking up her chocolate): Sorry...i just came to get this...
Aliyah left after picking her chocolates and closed the door behind her giving the two privacy. He sat at her legs and buried his face in her lap. Kripa scolded herself in her mind for getting carried away by chocolate when her love had returned after three months. She put her chocolate away and circled Angad's shoulder planting a kiss on his head.
Kripa: Angad...
Angad: Hmmm....
Kripa: I have another craving...
Angad(looked up and smiled): bolo...
Kripa, without saying a word, bent down and took his lips with hers. Angad surprised by Kripa's sudden action at first but then reciprocated with equal love and passion. Kripa got alarmed when Angad's grip around her waist tightened.
Kripa: Angad...your grip....
Kripa had become much more alert after her first accident. She was determined to make sure that she didn't let anything happen to their baby this time.
Angad: oh sorry...i forgot....I still cant believe it...
Kripa: you will when you come to my first scanning...I am so happy you made it in time...i was starting to feel lonely here....
Angad: kyun? sab to hai yahan
Kripa: Tum nahi the na...
Angad: yea but you had our baby with you all these days....I was completely alone...
Kripa: akele kahan the? Mera dil aur meri atma(soul) to apne saath le kar gaye the..
Angad: oh wow...tumne aise baat karna kab se sikh liya?
Kripa: Mr.Khanna........Mein Mrs.Angad Khanna aise hi thodi na ban gayi hoon....aur yeh baatein banana aap se hi sikha hai...
Angad: aur bhi bahut kuch sikha sakta hoon...agar time ho...to classes ke liye aa jana...
Kripa blushed as she understood his inner meaning and hugged him once again to hide her flushed face. Angad and Kripa spent the rest of the day alone in their room. No one disturbed them since they all understood that they were catching up with each other. Angad had finally managed to believe that Kripa was pregnant. For some reason to him, it didn't seem real, it felt like a dream. He was on cloud nine, he vowed that no matter what happens, he wouldn't leave Kripa's side and make dure nothing bad happened this time. He couldnt afford to lose his baby; the symbol of his and Kripa's love, and one of the things that kept him living, Kripa's smile. He knew for sure that if something happened this time, She would break down and slip into deep depression. A depression so deep that even he wouldn't be able to bring her out of it. He just hoped that now she would get to live without any barriers.
