Part 20

recap: Kripa tells Angad what happened and he consols her.

The next day, Kripa woke up quite early as today she was going to have lunch with Angad. She rummaged through her closet ended up choosing a light pink and white churidaar. She combed her long hair and put on a bit of makeup. She went downstairs for breakfast and met her parents at the dining table.

Kripa: Good morning mamma, good morning papa (smiles)
Gayatri & Yash: Good morning beta (smiles)
Kripa: Bhai kahan hai? Abhi tak utha nahin?
Gayatri: Nahin woh abhi so raha hai..beta tum jao aur tumhare bhai ko uthade
Kripa: Theek hai..mein abhi aati hoon

She went upstairs and stood near Josh's door. Half of his bedsheet was on the floor while the other half was tangled around him. He was sleeping on his stomach while snoring loudly. Kripa entered his room while covering her ears because of his extremely loud snoring.

Kripa: BHAI!

Josh moved a bit and then Kripa called his name once more. This time he woke up with a jerk and saw his sister standing with her ears covered.

Josh: Kya hua Kripa? Why are you screaming and why are you covering your ears?
Kripa: First of all bhai I was trying to wake you up and I was covering my ears because you were snoring so loudly. Mere kaan ab dukh rahe hai.
Josh: WHAT! I don't snore
Kripa: Acha acha tum nahin karte ho (smiles) Anyways tum jao aur tayar ho jao. Aren't you going to go see a movie with Aaliyah today?
Josh: Arre haan mein toh bhul hi gaya
Kripa: Toh phir bed se utho aur tayar ho jao.. phir jaldi se neeche nasta ke liye ajana
Josh: Theek hai baba, mein jaa raha hoon

Kripa let the room with a smile. She was about to head back downstairs when she heard her cellphone ringing. She went into her bedroom and answered the call quickly upon seeing the caller's name.

Kripa: Good morning
Angad: Goodmorning jaan

Hearing Angad's voice made Kripa smile shyly.

Angad: Kya kar rahi ho?
Kripa: Hmm kuch nahin...I was just about to go downstairs, aur tum?
Angad: Thinking of you
Kripa: (blushes) Oh really?
Angad: Haan, I can't seem to get you out of my mind
Kripa:(laughs) Acha?
Gayatri: Kripa! (calling her from downstairs)
Kripa: (Moves the cell away from her to answer her mother) Ayi mamma. (back to her phone call)Angad mujhe ab jana hoga..I'll see you later ok
Angad: Bye...I love you
Kripa: Bye..
Angad: Aur kuch nahin kehna hai?
Kripa: Nahin toh..aur kya kehna hai?
Angad: Jo maine abhi kaha
Kripa: (smiles) Maine bye toh kaha
Angad: Nahin iske baad
Kripa: Iske baad mein tumhe kya kaha?
Angad: I love you aur kya!
Kripa: (giggles) Oh woh..
Angad: Kaho na
Kripa: Angad I...have to go (giggles) Bye

Kripa shut her phone and placed it back on the table while smiling. She quickly went back downstairs into the kitchen to see why her mom was calling her.

Kripa: Jee mamma aap ne bulaya?
Gayatri: Woh tumhara dost ka phone tha..um Shabd...
Kripa: Shabd ka phone? Uh kya kaha usne?
Gayatri: Kuch nahin, tum usse baad mein phone karlena
Kripa:Jee theek hai

After breakfast Kripa went into the living room and sat on the edge of the brown leather sofa. She turned towards the right, picked up the phone slowly. She looked at it for a few seconds and then dialed Shabd's phone number.

Shabd: Hello?
Kripa: Hi Shabd..it's Kripa
Shabd: Oh hi Kripa
Kripa: Woh mamma ne kaha ke tumne phone kiya tha...kya baat hai?
Shabd: Kripa main tumse maafi mangna chahatha tha
Kripa: Maafi? Maafi kis baat ke liye?
Shabd: Kripa you don't have to pretend. I know I've made you feel bad after my sudden confession yesterday. Tum mujhse pyar nahin karti ho and I'm fine with that. Tum bas Angad ke saath khush rehna. I just hope that we can still remain friends.
Kripa: Ofcourse Shabd...you will always be my friend no matter what!
Shabd:(smiles) Thanks
Kripa: Lekin mein tumse naraaz hoon
Shabd: Kyun?
Kripa: Tum kehte ho ke tum mere dost ho aur phir sorry aur thanks bhi kehte ho. Dosti mein no sorry no thank you
Shabd: (laughs) Ok I'll keep that in mind..bye
Kripa: (giggles) Bye

She put the phone down and sat there for a while having nothing to do. She was about to call Angad when the doorbell rang. She walked to the door and opened it. She smiled as it was none other than our handsome Angad standing outside smiling ever so cutely.

Kripa: Angad tum?
Angad: Haan main, aur kaun..were you expecting someone else?
Kripa: (giggles) Nahin nahin aise koi baat nahin hai. Tum toh 11:30 ane wale the..it's still 10:45
Angad: Ghar baithe baithe bore ho raha tha isiliye main yahaan agaya
Kripa: (smiles) Acha.. kair andar aao

He stepped into the house and sat on the sofa beside her. Gayatri walked into the room to see who had arrived in their household.

Gayatri: Arre Angad beta
Angad: Namaste maa (takes blessings)
Gayatri: Jeete raho beta... tum dono kahin ja rahe ho?
Angad: Haan woh hum baad mein lunch ke liye jaa rahe hai
Gayatri: Acha theek hai...mein abhi mandir mein jaa rahi hoon

Angad and Kripa bid farewell and Gayatri left to go to the mandir leaving then alone in the living room.

Kripa: I'll just go to change
Angad: Change karne ki kya zaruraat hai? You look beautiful in that dress
Kripa: (smiles shyly) Thanks
Angad: Toh phir chale?
Kripa: (nods) I'll just go and tell bhai...ek minute

She went upstairs to Josh's bedroom and informed him that she's going out with Angad. She went back downstairs and then the couple left for their lunch. The first few minutes in the car were silent, Angad was driving and Kripa was looking straight ahead. Angad broke the silence by calling Kripa's name.

Angad: Kripa (she looked at him) Tumhe kahaan jana hai?
Kripa: Uh kahin bhi..
Angad: Jungle mein chale?
Kripa: Angad!? (giggles)
Angad: Tumhe toh kaha tha..kahin bhi
Kripa:(giggles) I didn't mean it like that
Angad:(smiles) Toh batao...kahaan khane ka mann kar raha hai
Kripa: Hmm, kuch thikha [something spicy] khane ka mann kar raha hai
Angad: How's Chinese?
Kripa: Yep sounds good
Angad: There's a restaurant nearby that serves superb Chinese food
Kripa: Perfect..hum wahan chalte hai

They go to the restaurant that Angad was talking about. Angad and Kripa find a nice table near the window exposing the wonderful view of the beach. Angad pulled out a chair letting Kripa sit down, and then he sat down also. They admired the view while holding hands, waiting for someone to come take their order.

Kripa: Dekho na..it's so beautiful
Angad: Not as beautiful as you are

Kripa blushed and just then someone came to take their order. Angad placed their order and the waiter left saying that their meal would arrive shortly. While waiting Angad and Kripa started to talk about random things. In about 15-20 minutes the waiter came back with their food.Kripa was the first out of the two to try the noodles.

Angad: Kaisa laga?
Kripa: (smiles) You were right..this taste's great!
Angad: Maine kaha tha na, mujhe pata tha ke tumhe yeh khana pasand ayega

They both laughed and ate their lunch while enjoying eachother's company.
