Part 3:
It was a big day for the Sharma and Khanna family but for Angad and Kripa, it seemed like a nightmare. they were about to be engaged to someone who they met for merely five minutes. Both angad and Kripa wished that some miracle would happen and this wedding would stop. But as destiny plays its games, angad and kripa's wedding was destined. No matter how hard they tried getting out of it, they would have to get married.
Kripa sat in her room getting ready. She had dressed herself in a baby pink and light sky blue fish cut lehenga with heavy matching jewlery. She didnt need any make-up, she looked like a fairy without any make-up. Angad was getting dressed in Josh's room in similar colours. He was scared, nervous, and to his surprise somewhat happy. He didn't know why he was slightly happy but it was true, he was a little happy.
Angad(thought to himself): Well....i dont know if she's nice or mean but she looks like a sweet person.....and she is the MOST beautiful girl i have ever seen in my life...
While on the other hand Kripa thought that she was glad to have the hottest guy in town.
Josh walked into his room to call Angad.
Josh: angad....or shud I say angad jiju.....neeche chalo sab aapka intezaar kar rahe hai..
Angad: lets go....man...im scared...
Josh: dont worry...my sister doesnt bite
Angad: i can tell by looking at her innocent face..
Josh(raised his eyebrows teasingly): Innocent face eh???
Angad: josh...stop it...
Josh and Angad walked downstairs. While walking down the stairs, Angad's eyes searched everywhere for Kripa but there was no sight of her.
Angad(whispering to josh): Josh...Kripa kahan hai?
Josh(whispering back): don't you know? girls take forever to get ready for these kinda things...aur sabr karo.....paanch din..baad mein har jagah tumhe Kripa hi dekhegi..
Angad(whispering back): Shut Up!
All relatives complimented Angad on how handsome he looked, and congratulated him on the special occasion. Angad caught Naina in the corner.
Angad: mom....aaliyah ko phone kiya?
Naina: haan.....she can't make it to the engagement....she has exams...she said she will try her 200% to make it to your wedding.
Angad: but mom...i never take big steps as such without my sister alongside.
Naina: angad...aaliyah to Kripa se baad mein bhi mil legi lekin tumhe abhi dadi ke baare mein sochna chahiye.....tum chinta mat karo....Gayatri aur Mr.Sharma ki beti bahut hi sanskari hai..meine uske baare mein bahut se logo se suna hai...aur tum to josh ke best friend ho na? josh ki behen hi to hai woh!
Gayatri(walked up to them): Naina..mein Kripa ko lene jaa rahi hoon...pata nahi aur kitna waqt lagayegi ye ladki...tum saath chalogi?
Naina: haan...mujhe Kripa se waise bhi kuch baat karni hai...
Josh(walked up from behind angad): mamma...aunty.....Angad ko bhi saath le jayiye...iski aankhein kab se Kripa ko dundh rahi hai...
Naina: badmaashh!!
Naina and Gayatri walked upstairs to Kripa's room to bring her down for the ring exchange ceremony.
Angad: josh...whats with you? why are you teasing me so much?
Josh: ok look...i know you both dont love each other...i know how tensed you are..im just trying to make it smoother and comfortable for you...
Angad: hm...thanks...im sorry...im just kind of annoyed..
Josh: so is Kripa...in frustration, she almost slapped me when i was teasing her..
Angad: what did you say to her?
Josh: she was listening to a romantic number and i said 'thinking about Angad are we?'...she ran behind me like a tiger runs behind his prey...
Angad: she just ran after you? i would have killed you!!
Josh saw Kripa walking down the stairs with Gayatri and Naina on either side. Angad couldn't see her as his back was facing the stairs.
Josh: aww....there is my gorgeous sister...
Angad turned around at once to look at her. his eyes got stuck on her and would not move to anything else.
Angad(thought): koi itna khoobsurat kaise ho sakta hai...sometimes....she feels like a dream....angad!!! what are you thinking? thats the girl you are being forced to marry!!! she must be hating you right now.....
Gayatri walked Kripa beside Angad. Angad's eyes were still fixed on her while she tried not to look at him but at last she couldn't stop her self, after all she had to take a look at her fianc. Angad gave her a quick smile.
Angad: looking beautiful.
Kripa(a bit awkward): um...thank you...you are looking great yourself.
Josh: you guys look like you are made for each other...you know what? now maybe im not so mad at mamma pappa for forcing you into this kripa..
Kripa: why?
Josh: because angad is a really nice guy...if i had to handover you to a guy...i would give you to angad with my eyes closed.
Angad: josh...stop...i think you are making her uncomfortable.
Suddenly all the lights went out and two spotlights focused on Angad-Kripa.
Angad-Kripa(mumbling): Oh My god...
Suryaban: Good Evening ladies and gentlemen. Today we have gathered here for a very special occasion. My daughter, Kripa, and Dilip Khanna's son Angad, have decided to spend their lifetime together.
Dilip: I am really happy to announce that today is their engagement. Naina...can we have the rings please?
Naina and Gayatri walked up to angad and Kripa and handed them the rings. They were told to exchange them. Kripa reluctantly raised her hand so angad can put the ring on her finger. Kripa felt uncomfrotable under the spotlight and in the attention of all present in the room. Angad tried slipping the ring in without holding her hand as he didn't want to make her feel any worse. But he had to get a hold of her hand when the ring wouldn't slip in otherwise. Everone clapped as the ring possessed Kripa's ring finger proudly. Kripa placed the ring on his finger while gently holding his hand. Both looked at each other and gave a faint smile. Dilip announced a slow dance for all the couples present in the party. Angad and Kripa were , as usual forced, to take the center of the room.
Kripa: josh...can i please NOT have the spotlight on me...you know i dont like being the center of attention...
Angad: neither do i..
Josh: alright...i'll have them turn it off. but first you guys walk into the middle of the dancefloor so that i can get the guy to switch it off.
Kripa: okay..
Angad held out his hand for Kripa, as any guy should when asking the girl for a dance. Kripa gently placed her hand in his as both walked to the center of the floor. Kripa and Angad felt awkward with the whole close dancing thing but they had no other choice. Angad waited for Kripa to response. She gave her consent for the dance by placing her hands around his shoulders. Angad slowly placed his hands on her waist which made Kripa giggle. Angad stared at her in confusion.
Kripa: that tickled..
Angad smiled and both danced away until the music stopped. By the end of the party, everyone was tired and had no energy from all the dancing.
