Part 7:
Riddhima could not believe her ears. She had somethings, Armaan had said that Baba was sick and that the doctors had warned him about his health. She had also heard that Baba was forcing Armaan to get married. She thought that she had also heard Armaan saying that Baba was forcing the marriage issue on him. And then finally she thought she heard that because Armaan had been pushed into a corner he had confirmed that his Baba thought that she and Armaan were married.
Riddhima: phir sai kaho....
Armaan: Riddhima, Baba bimar hai. Aur voh chathein hain ki mein jaldi sai shaadhi karoon. Aur mein aja shaadhi nahin karna chatha hoon..is laiy maine jhoot bhola aur khedeya ki humari shaadi already hoa chukee hai
Riddhima: aur baba nai yeh bhaath maan lay
Armaan: Baba thumse bahut pyar kartein hain...thume thoh voh beti maan the hai...aur jabh maine unki akhon mein dekhe kai voh thumein meri biwi samajh the hain, well let's just say...it's as if un mein ik nay jaaan aa gaye.
Riddhima: lekin Armaan i don't understand....abh thum kiya chate hoa...ki mein unkai samnein thumaree biwi ban kai jaon.
ARmaan: nay...i mean haan...i mean i don't know..iselai mein chata hoon ki thum mujhe bhatao ki mein kya karoon.
As the minutes of this conversation were going on Riddhima was getting angrier and angrier. She couldn't believe had told such a big lie. A lie that she had dreamt of many times. A lie that a part of her wished could have come true eventually, just not now.
Riddhima was hurt. Hurt because she felt her feelings were becoming a joke. Feelings that know one other than Sapna knew about were becoming a mockery of sorts. She needed her father. She needed him to hug her. She needed to get away from Armaan before she said something that she would regret. Riddhima slowly got up and without saying anything to Armaan she began to leave the locker room without looking back....
ARmaan: Riddhima thum kahan jaa rahee hoa...we have to talk, mein baba sai kya kahoon?
Without looking back,
Riddhima: mujhse puche bina thum thoa itne bhath kar chuke..aaga kya karna hai khudh maloom kar loa.....
Armaan looked down, he knew that he taken advantage of their friendship. Riddhima had always helped him in his time of need, but this was a little overboard. He had taken their friendship and made a decision about it without even consulting her.
Riddhima left the locker room and went to her father's office. She shut the door behind her and sat down on the floor and cried. The last time she cried like this was when she found out that Armaan was taking her big sister Anjali on their first date. She cried and cried. She thought about calling her father, but what would she say to him. She couldn't call Anjali mainly because she was at the medical and probably hadn't even arrived at her station yet and also because Anjali would be angry at what had transpired. She then thought about the perfect person to call. Sapna.
Armaan got up from the bench in the locker room. He didn't what his next step should be but he did know that he would have to go home and tell his Baba the truth about the fact that there was nothing between him and Riddhima.
He left the locker room, and moved through Sanjeevani without so much as hello to anyone of the nurses and females in the hospital. Guilt had consumed him. He had not only lied to his Baba, but he had hurt his best friend.
Sapna: Hello....hello...kaun hai?
Ridz: Sapna...um mein Riddhima.
Sapna: Ridzy....it's so good to hear from you. Maloom hai mein abhi apna luggage pack kar rahein hoon. Aaj sham ki flight hai and then I'll be back in Mumbai...I can't wait to see you...I miss you yaar!
Ridz: I miss you to sapna....so much.
Sapna: Uncle kaise hain?
Ridz: um voh Doctors without Borders parh gai hai...Afghanistan mein project hai..for 6 months.
Sapna: wow! he's so lucky. Aur how is my favourite...Anjali
Ridz: Um..voh medical camp parh gay hai...Kal subha station ponch jay gee.
Sapna: And how is Mr. Supercool and Mr. Unaware himself...Armaan Malik.
Ridz: Ummm voh teek hain...Sapna i need to speak to you...
Sapna: aRe you still hopefully in love with him..
Ridz: Sapna...he's made a really stupid mistake. BAba is sick
Sapna: kiya hua unkoa
Ridz: mujhe details ki bhare mein nahin patha..parh voh chatein hai ki Armaan jaldhee shaadi kar lai.
Sapna: understandable, voh probably Armaan ki biwi dekhna chatein hai before you know ....he um...well you know.
Ridz: i know...but the thing is..ki ARmaan nein us koa...
Sapna: patha hai Armaan baba kitne khush hoagai uski biwi ka chehrah dekh karh...
Ridz: mmmmmm.
Sapna: Ridzy baby I have to go...I love you..but I'll see you tomorrow morning...I have to catch my flight soon...and I haven't finished packing my luggage yet.
Ridz: I'm sorry..bye Sapna
AFter saying bye to Sapna, Riddhima kept remembering Sapna's words. "baba kitne khush hoagai armaan ki biwi ka chehrah dekh karh" Riddhima loved Baba and couldn't bare for him to be hurt especially since no one knew exactly what was going on with his health. She was angry at ARmaan for playing with his grandfather's heart and health like he had...but she didn't want Baba to suffer for this.
Riddhima wiped her face from the tears that she had shed and slowly got up...she knew what she had to do for the time being. She couldn't think of anything past this the decision she had just made...all she knew was that she was going to let Armaan make Baba suffer anymore. She got up and opened the office door and made her way out to Sanjeevani ...and worked through her patients for the day.
Armaan wondered around the whole day trying to figure out what he was going to tell his Baba. He knew it had to be truth, but he was scared of the outcome...how would his Baba react. Should he have an ambulance or doctor with him ...or should he just try his best to calm his Baba down himself. Armaan couldn't believe that in a few minutes he had hurt Baba and Riddhima in one shot. Those two had always stood in his corner and those are the first two he hurt when he was pushed into a corner himself. Armaan knew he had to end this quickly, he garnered up the courage and made his way back to his house where he knew his BAba was waiting for him.
It was evening, Baba was anxiously waiting for Riddhima and Armaan to return. He had so many things to say and give. But first he wanted to hug the Armaan and Riddhima together for making him so happy. He couldn't have chosen a better girl for Armaan. The first time he met Riddhima he remembered telling that he wanted to meet her father really soon for a chat...he had wanted to talk to his Sushank about marrying the two. He didn't know that the two would go ahead and do it themselves...alas! he had got what he wanted. Armaan was married to a beautiful, down to earth girl who could run his house, family and ARmaan like the way the Malik khandaan would have liked. Baba looked up as he saw Armaan enter the house...
Dr. Malik: Beta kaisa hoa....?
Dr. Malik noticed that Armaan looked tired and down.
Dr. Malik: Beta kya hua....Riddhima kahan hai...Thum dono toh sath sath vapas ah rahein the na?
Armaan: Baba aap sai kuch bhath karnee hai..lekin I think you should sit down first...
Dr. Malik didn't like the way that sounded...
Dr. Malik: Armaan, You scaring me my boy! Kya hua hai? Aur Riddhima kahan hai?
Armaan: Baba pehle bheto
Dr. Malik relunctantly sat down...he didn't like where this was going. What happened between Armaan and his sweet Riddhima. Armaan looked down and began to tell his Baba the truth. He hadn't noticed that someone had entered the house, he had carelessly left the door open.
Armaan: Baba bath aisa hai...ki jabh aapne mujshe Riddhima bhare zikarh kiya tha.. I left out something really important...something that aap koa patha huna chai yeh...You see Baba...Riddhima aur Mere beech aise koi bhaath nahi hai jise aap um......aap shaadi yan phir pyar ka matlab
Riddhima: nah nikal sakho.
Armaan looked up quickly and saw Riddhima standing infront of him. Riddhima was not looking at Armaan, she was looking at Baba. Baba quickly got up and went to Riddhima. He hugged her tightly. Riddhima closed her eyes...She felt guilty for lying.
Dr. Malik: Beta Riddhima...thune tho mera harh sapna armaan kai liya bhura kar diya...
Riddhima hugged Baba back and slowly looked up and saw ARmaan infront of her....
Armaan and Riddhima just looked at each other. It seemed that they were now in this together. Riddhima and ARmaan wanted to protect Baba at all cost. They just didn't how much this would cost and how much they would end up paying for this.
Precap for Part 8:
Baba forces Riddhima to stay the night when she insists on going back to her own house. Armaan and Riddhima spend an akward night in Armaan's room, where they try and figure out what's going to happen. Sapna comes back home and finds out that Riddhima has married Armaan without telling anyone.
