Part-14

Next morning:

Naina went early as she had to attend Dr. Shalini's class with first year cadets. Raj was about to go to mess for his breakfast when he ran into Gunny and they both went to eat their breakfast together.

Gunny- Raj, Naina kahan hai?
Raj- First year class. Yaar mujhe na bahut ajeeb lagta hai uska training attend karna acha hua ki BC ne usko mere class main aane se roka main to cadets ko kuch padha hi nahi pata.
Gunny(seriously)- Tu usko kah kyon nahi deta ki tu us se bahut pyar karta hai aur ye shaadi tune kyon ki?
Raj- Nahi yaar, main uska gussa aur narazgi bardhast kar sakta hoon is shaadi ko lekar lekin agar use hamari shaadi ke peeche ka sach pata chala jo mere aur tere alava koi nahi janta to wo tut jayegi aur main ye kabhi bardhast nahi kar paonga.
Gunny- Lekin Raj ye galat hai. Agar tu nahi bata sakta to main us ko sab kuch bata doonga.
Raj- Nahi Gunny, tu mujh se vaada kar. Is bare main usko kuch nahi batayega aur phir hum dono ab pehle ki tarah dost hai yahi mere liye kafi hai.
Gunny- Lekin main?
Raj- Please Gunny, tujhe hamari dosti ka vasta.
Gunny(sighed)- Theek hai jaisa tu chahe. Lekin phir bhi main ye hi kahoonga ki ye galat hai.
Raj- Chod na chal mess main chalte hai.

They both headed to the mess. Suriji welcomed them with cheerful expression. Raj introduced Gunny to suriji as he wasn't able to meet anybody the previous day.

Raj- Suriji, Meet Captain Gunraj randhawa. He is here posted as Weapons teacher. He is my friend.
Suriji- Oy puttar, your friend is my friend. Welcome Captain sir.
Gunny- Suriji, aap mujh se bade hai to mujhe sir kah kar mat bulaye. Gunny is fine.
Suriji(smiled)- Theek hai puttar. Aap log betho, main badhiya sa nasta lata hoon chai ke saath.

Raj & Gunny sat there talking to each other when Ritu entered the mess.
Ritu put her best fake smile on the face and went to Raj & Gunny.

Ritu(smiling)- May I join you?
Raj- Of course.
Ritu sat there and turned to Gunny who was looking at her.
Ritu put out her hand to introduce her self.
Ritu- Hi, I am Dr. Ritu Mishra, Academy's psychiatrist.
Gunny- Nice to meet you Doctor, I am Captain Gunraj Singh randhawa.
Ritu- It's really nice to meet you too Captain.

Raj shook his head at Ritu's flirtatious face while Suriji came there with breakfast. He also got some breakfast for Ritu.

They all had their breakfast together while Ritu kept talking and both Raj & Gunny stayed there and tried to hide their bored face from non stop chattering of Ritu.

After breakfast, Ritu had left saying Raj that she had class with first year cadets.

Gunny- Raj, ye log academy main make-up ki dukan kab se appoint karne lage.
Raj(smiled)- Chod na yaar. Ye aisi hi hai. Jab Naina yahan pe nahi thi, tab mujh se bhi aisi hi baatein karti thi.
Gunny- Haan lekin meri koi biwi nahi hai ab main kya karoonga agar ye mere peeche padi to?
Raj- Just ignore her.
Gunny- Kya yahan sare staff members aise hai?
Raj- Nahi yaar, tu abhi sab se mila hi kahan hai.
Gunny- Yeah aaj ek kaafi tha. I have to do some work. Baad main milta hoon tujh se.
Raj- Ok.

Gunny left from there while Raj still sat there for few minutes as he got a call from his dad. They talked casually before hanging up and when he was about to go out, Major Bhargav entered the mess.

MB- Hello, captain.
Raj- Good morning sir.
MB- Maine suna hai aap ki wife ne pehla din kaafi successfully bitaya as a cadet. Dekhte hai ye junoon kab tak rehta hai.
Raj- Sir, us ne kabhi harna nahi sikha.
MB- We will see about that captain.
Raj- we will sir.

And then he left from there.

Dr. Ritu's class:
First year cadets were talking to each other and the whole gang was there with Naina too.
Ritu came in there and everyone sat at their seats.

Ritu- Good morning cadets. You all know that we have a new member for two weeks in our class. Welcome Naina.
Naina- Thank you.
Ritu started her class as usual with her boring lecture.
Huda was lost in her beauty. Ali & Yudi were seriously studying while Riya, Pooja and Aalekh had bored expressions on their face.
Naina was sitting next to Aalekh.
Aalekh(muttered)- Yaar, kya pakao hai. Bhasan hi diye ja rahi hai.
Naina(muttered)- Meri samaj main kuch nahi aa raha.
Aalekh(whispered)- kya?
Naina- Yahi ki isko subah subah make-up lagane ka time kaise mil jata hai.
Aalekh smiled at Naina's comment and class went on....

On the ground:
Gunny thought about a jog as he didn't have any classes today, so he was jogging when he saw a familiar figure yelling at the orderly so he went up close to the figure and when he saw Major Bhargav standing there, a mysterious smile came to his face.

Gunny(thinking)- Uncle Tom, yahan pe? Ab maza aayega.
He just went up to him and he saw that Major Niar was there too.
Gunny(brightly)- Good morning sir.
MC- Good morning Captain Randhawa.
Major Bhargav was surprised or rather shocked to see Gunny there.
Major Niar- Major Bhargav, this is Captain Gunraj Singh randhawa. He was appointed here to teach about weapons to cadets.
MB- It's nice to see you Captain. We are meeting after a long time, isn't it?
Gunny- Yes sir, and I am looking forward to working with you this time.
MB(smiled)- Me too captain.

Gunny left from there when Major Niar turned to ask Major Bhargav how he knew Captain Gautam.
MB- It's a long story. I will tell you some other time.

Naina was eating lunch with first year cadets because they had drill with Major Bhargav after lunch and in two days, Naina was going to face Major Bhargav for the first time in his drill.

Raj wanted to be with her at lunch but he was really busy with reports that Major Niar had given him to finish.

At drill time:
Major Bhargav was ready for the first year cadets and specially for Naina. He decided to make it difficult especially for Naina so she quit on the very second day.

MB- So cadets, today we have one other member with us and she claims that even though she was not in training for few months, she can finish our drill today. I really like positive attitude of yours Naina.
Naina(smiled)- Thank you sir, and I am looking forward to the drill.

Major Bhargav had arranged a very difficult drill for first year cadets. There were many obstacles they had to go through. It included running on mountain, sit ups, pull ups, push ups and jumping through walls.

Major Bhargav divided everyone in teams. There were seven cadets in each team. There were four teams and Naina & six cadets were in last team. They all had to finish in certain time frame or they will fail the lesson and it could decrease their final points. First three teams barely finished and some cadets got hurt in the process as it was really difficult to do. But Naina's team was really good so far and they were able to finish almost everything and they had still much time left. MB was annoyed and he thought of something. He called an orderly and told him to do something. The orderly didn't want to but he was afraid of Major Bhargav so he agreed.

Before, Naina and other six cadets reached the wall, the orderly was in position near the wall and as soon as they jumped through the wall, he used the very high pitched whistle and Naina was most close to it so she stumbled and fell down. She twisted her ankle badly, and everyone else was shocked at the turn of events. The orderly ran away from there but Aalekh already saw them.

Aalekh was about to help Naina but Naina said, "NO" as they had to finish the drill without helping each other. And even though, Naina was in lot of pain, she finished 1000 meter distance in six minutes and they had finished their drill successfully.

By that time, Gunny came out to check out first year cadets' drill and he was really angry at Major Bhargav because he knew it's his doing but he couldn't say anything as he didn't have any evidence.

After that MB assembled everyone and even though, he saw Naina in so much pain, he lectured them for at least fifteen minutes as he had that much class time left. Gunny wanted to go and help Naina but he knew that he couldn't do that in middle of the class.

He clenched his fists when he saw his best friend in pain. After the class, MB gave Naina a look and left from there while her friends helped her out. Gunny also came there.

Gunny- Naina, are u okay?
He looked at her swollen ankle.
Pooja- Sir, she fell from the wall. We need to get her to the infirmary. We have Captain Rajveer's class right now so she doesn't have to come.
Gunny- Cadets, you go to the class, I will help her to go to the infirmary and there is no need to inform about Captain Rajveer right now.
Riya- But sir?
Gunny- You can tell him after the class cadet.

After everyone was gone, Gunny helped Naina to stand on her feet but she winced out in pain, so he picked her up and headed to the infirmary. Gunny didn't know that Major Bhargav was looking from a corner with a evil smile on his face as if thinking something.

He came there with Naina and Shalini was surprised to see them and little worried when she saw her swollen ankle.

Shalini- Naina, are u okay?
Naina- Wo shalini, kuch nahi hua. Jara si twisted ankle hai I am sure...
Gunny(while putting her up on a chair)- Kya zara kuch hai. Itni chaut aayi hai tumhe aur tum ho ki...
Shalini looked at Gunny and then Naina.
Naina- Shalini, meet Captain Gunraj randhawa.
Shalini- Oh, don't worry captain. I will take good care of your friend here.

She examined the wound and she was glad that any bone wasn't broken and it was just twisted ankle. She strapped it and gave Naina a balm to rub it on.

Gunny- Thanks doctor.
Shalini- Don't be formal captain. And by the way you can call me Shalini.
Gunny(smiled)- You can call me Gunny.
Naina- Ok ab main apne room main jao?
Shalini- You both can go after having cup of coffee with me.
Gunny & Naina- Great...
Shalini- Don't worry Naina, waise bhi aaj Friday hai so tumhare ab do din tak koi class nahi hai.
Gunny- You are just training here and you are not a cadet so it's okay if you don't go on Monday either.
Shalini- You didn't tell him about the bet Naina?
Gunny- What bet?
Naina told him about Major Bhargav and everything that led to bet.
Gunny- Naina, he is an most irritating human being and you have bet with him? Great!!! Aaj usne ye kiya abhi poore 13 days are remaining wo roj kuch na kuch karega.
Shalini- Do you know him Gunny?
Gunny- Well you can say that I know him better than anyone.

By the way, main Naina ko uske kamre tak chod kar aata hoon.
Shalini- Okay.
She gave Naina crutches and Gunny supported her to go to her room. He placed her on the sofa and got her things she needed and then he left as he had meeting with Brigadier chandook.

Raj finished with his class and after the class ended, all his six favorite cadets stayed there.
Raj- Yes cadets, is there something you want to say to me?
Aalekh- Sir, wo apun Naina ke bare main kuch kehna chahta hai.
Raj(surprised)- Naina ke bare main?
Ali- sir unko MB ki drill main chot aayi hai aur Captain Randhawa unko infirmary le kar gaye hai. She has twisted ankle.
Riya- Aur sir unhone hum se kaha tha ki hum aap ko class ke baad ye bataye is liye hum ne pehle nahi bataya.
Raj- Thanks. I will just go to infirmary.

He rushed out of there but he spotted Major Bhargav outside.

MB(smirked)- Captain, aaj aap ki wife ne sach main kamal kar dikhaya. She had finished the drill even in such pain. By the way, Captain Randhawa was really worried about your wife. He took her all the way to infirmary in his arms to help her out.

Raj looked at him with disgust as he knew what MB was indicating to but he didn't say anything and left from there. He went to the infirmary and found Shalini there.

Raj- Shalini, wo Naina?
Shalini- She is absolutely fine. Just a swollen ankle. I strapped it up and told her not to move for two days so you have to help her out. I also gave some balm to apply and pain killer. Gunny went to drop her off at your room 30 minutes ago.
Raj- Thanks Shalini.

He went up to his room to find Naina sitting on the sofa with her foot up and there were pillows around.

Raj- Tum theek to ho na Naina?
Naina(smiled)- I am fine Raj. Don't worry, it's just a sprain.
Raj- Mujhe pata tha ki yahi hoga. Wo kameena Major Bhargav kuch bhi kar sakta hai aur tum apni zid se baaj nahi aaogi.
Naina- Come on Raj, it's not that big deal. You handle more dangerous wounds than this and you think I can't handle a sprained ankle.
Raj(sighed)- Naina, you know that I can't see you in pain.
Naina- I know. Waise Gunny bhi mujhe dant raha tha.
Raj- Wo sahi kar raha tha. Acha hua wo wahan pe tha aur tumhe infirmary le gaya.
Naina- Tum ko kisne bataya?
Raj- Major Bhargav ne. He saw both of you. Anyways, tum aaram karo or yahan se hilna mat. Tumhe jo chahiye wo main de doonga okay?
Naina- Okay boss.

Raj cooked the dinner and they both had dinner together. When they were talking after dinner, our dear six cadets and Gunny came to check up on Naina and then they left from there telling Naina to take care of herself.

Dr. Ritu now is after Gunny😡 Sahi kaha usne....Makeup ki dukaan😆😆 Bharghav as usual kameena😡😡 Lukn forward to see tiffs betn Bharghav and Gunny... Bharghav tried to create misunderstandings betn Raj and Naina by telling him that Gunny carried her in arms all the way to infirmary...digusting😡 but what he doesn't know is gunny and naina are best friends...

Nice part

Raj is happy that Gunny is ther with them at KMA...glad that he has his freind back. But Raj still does not want to tell naina the truth..he is afraid that he will lose her...but he should tell he truth...she will feel more hurt if she were to find it from someone else.

Gunny ne sahi title diya hai Ritu ko...Makeup ki dukan. Poor fellow will now have to try to escape her..

Seems that Gunny and Bhargav have a solid past..Will love to see how Gunny stands up to Bhargav

Bhargav apne kamine pan se kabhi bahar nahi aaye ga..he could nto see naina performing so well in his drills and completing it so he causes her accident..Glad that Gunny was ther to help her later..

Felt like hiting Bhargav for the misunderstanding that he is trying to create between gunny and raj. But he fails to understand that his trick will never work

Raj is concerned about naina on hearing of her accident but afet meeting her he is sure that she will be able to fight back and that she will be ok

please continue soon...waiting to see what happens at the mentorship camp...i think bhargav will make sure that Gunny is naina's mentor so that he can create some more misunderstanding.

Nice part. Wonder wat the real reason behind Raj's marriage to Naina about which Raj n Gunny was talking. Well Ritu is never gonna change, Raj k sath kuch nahi hua isiliye ab Gunny....huh!!! And how do Gunny n MB knw eah other so well??? So many mysteries.....w8ing for them to be revealed one by one.

Hated the way MB indicated to Gunny n Naina. But Raj is too smart for those nasty tactics. Anyways, pls continue soon.
