Chapter 22:
[2 days pass. These two days Pranav stays in the hospital by Maya's side. Finally Pranav gets the "ok" from the doctor that he is allowed to take Maya home. He informs his family that they will be coming home today.]
[Pranav and Maya in the hospital room]
Maya - Pranav I'm so happy.
Pranav - Why are you walking?
Maya - What? I'm ok...lol
Pranav - Of course. I always get worried abotu you...
[Maya goes up to Pranav and hugs him]
Maya - I really do love you!
Pranav - Uff...Yeh pyar wyar aur woh bhi hospital mein.
Maya - Shut up.
[They both are in smiles as they leave the hospital.]

[College. Rakesh does not know that his bhabhi has been discharged.]
[With Reena]
Rakesh - I'm sorry about the other day.
Reena - Strict father I must say.
Rakesh - Very. Ok forget about me. So do you have any family here?
Reena - Mera chacha hai. But I have never seen him before. Well I did when I was really small and I dont know what he looks like.
Rakesh - Acha? Does he know you.
Reena - Very well.
Rakesh - Kya karta hai?
Reena - He's a doctor as a hospital...
Rakesh - Oh really? Which one...?
Reena - Woh pata nahi...I'm not too familiar with hospitals in Mumabi.
[Both Reena and Rakesh were headed to the hospital. Rakesh had told Reena about his bhabhi. They soon arrive. Rakesh goes up to the information desk]
Rakesh - Excuse me. We've come here to meet Maya bhabhi.
Nurse - She's been discharged today.
[As Rakesh and Reena are talking to the nurse a doctor (whom happens to be the same doctor that performed Maya's opperation) spots Reena. He finds something familiar about her. He walks up to her.]
Rakesh [noticing the doctor] - Oh hi doctor. Reena this is the doctor who performed my bhabhi's operation.
Reena - Hi...
[That's when it strikes the doctor. He is surprsried. He realizes that this is his niece whom he hasn't seen in almost 6 years. He knows that she's run away from home and has no feelings of love towards her. But seeing her after so long he gets emotional.]
Doctor - Reena?
Reena - That's my name.
[He is too astonished to say anything more. He walks away silently.]
Reena - Uh ok?
[Both Reena and Rakesh walk out of the hospital and head seperate ways.]

Chapter 23:
[The doctor makes an urgent call to his brother-in-law (Reena's dad)]
Doctor - Hello? Rahem mein Jagdish bol raha hoon...I saw Reena.
Rahem - What?
Doctor - Yes she's here.
Rahem - I dont care...Let her do what she wants. She's a bad daughter. She's put us through so much grief.
Doctor - Lekin...
Rahem - Jagdish please. [hangs up]
[The doctor goes back to his work.]

[Meanwhile Rakesh reaches home. First thing he does is go look for Maya bhabhi.]
Pranav - She's in her room
[Rakesh walks to her room, knocks, and then enters]
Maya - Oh Rakesh. How are you?
Rakesh - Fine bhabhi. Aur aap?
Maya - Perfectly all right.
Rakesh - We were all so worried about you.
Maya - Aww. So sweet!
Rakesh - What's so sweet about that?
Maya [smiles] - I dont know...
Rakesh - Ok bhabhi. You take rest. I'm going to study.
Maya - Ok.
[Rakesh leaves the room.]

[A guy is standing near a phone booth talking to someone]
Guy - I saw Maya today. She got discharged from the hospital. I wanted to go see her while she was there, but I couldn't take the chances with her whole family there.
Guy2 - What are you planning to do?
Guy - I dont know yet. But no matter what I'm going to try to move her away from the family. Or better yet move Pranav away from Maya.
Guy2 - And how are you going to do that?
Guy - I dont know yet. Lets just wait and see.

[Maya walks into Sheetal's room after knocking.]
Maya - Hi bhabhi.
Sheetal - Arey Maya? What are you doing running around. Go rest.
Maya - Oh bhabhi. I'm fine. You should be the one resting. Look at your tummy. Its so fat.
Sheetal - Eww Maya you're so mean. Its only my 5th month.
Maya - So?
Sheetal - You just wait till you have one...4 lover kudi!
Maya - Oh no not again...
[There is a knock on the door.]
Sheetal - Come in.
[Nitin walks in.]
Maya - Uff bhaiya...
Nitin - Kya howa?
Maya - Nahi bus I was just surprised.
[Sheetal winks at Maya and Maya gives a mad face.]
Maya - I'll just leave...
Nitin - No no Maya. Sit. Come on.
Maya - Nahi its ok...
Nitin - I insist. Waise I need to talk to you.
[Both Sheetal and Maya sit down.]
Nitin - So tell me how are you feeling?
Maya [starting to feel shy] - Fine bhaiya.
Nitin - THat's good. Well I wanted to tell you, and also you Sheetal that Maa has kept a Pooja for Maya's recovery tonight. So all be in our temple at 8:00 pm sharp.
Sheetal - Ok.
Maya - Ok bhaiya.
[Maya gets up to leave]
Nitin - And oh yeah Maya. There's a letter for you. I received it and put it in your room.
Maya [surprised as she never recives letters] - Ok...Thank you Nitin bha...
Nitin - Yeh bhaiya bhaiya kya laga rakha hai?
[Sheetal bursts out laughing. Maya blushes hard and leaves the room.]

Chapter 24:
[Maya silently walks in her room and closes the door. She checks to make sure Pranav is not in the room. When she finds all is clear she takes the letter on the table and rips it open.]
Maya ji,
Please meet me tonight at watergate at 8 pm sharp. Be there or else it wont be good for you.

Maya - Rishil?
[Suddenly she hears footsteps. She hides the letter and puts it away where she knows Pranav cant find it. Then Pranav walks in. Maya jumps.]
Pranav - Arey? Kya howa?
Maya - Kuch nahi Pranav. I was just surprised.
Pranav - Hehe! Oh meri bachi! Acha maa is calling you. [Maya doesnt move still thinking about the letter.]
Pranav - Maya?
Maya - Huh?
Pranav - Maa is calling you...
Maya - Oh right...[She leaves the room. Pranav feels funny about Maya's behavior.]
Shalu - Maya beti. Tonight I've kept a pooja for your recovery...
Maya - Maa?
Shalu - Bolo?
Maya - Can we do the pooja tomorrow night?
Shalu - Kyun kya howa?
Maya - Nahi bus I have to go out.
Shalu - Out? Where?
Maya - Um...woh...meri ek dost aye rahi hai USA se aur woh kal hi wapas jah rahi hain issliye I wanted to meet her at the airport.
Shalu - Only one day? That's strange.
Maya - I know. But...
Shalu - Acha tik hai koi baat nahi. We'll hold it tomorrow.
Maya - Thank you maa.
[As she walks out she bumps into Prakash who overheard everything.]
Prakash - Pooja aaj hi hogi. Come down sharp at 8.
Maya - Bapuji...
[Prakash leaves. Shalu comes out and notices Maya's face.]
Shalu - Maya? Kya howa?
Maya - Huh? Maa bapuji ne...
Shalu - Oh...You dont worry about him. I'll take care of him.
Maya - Thank you maa.
Shalu - Koi baat nahi.

[7:30 pm; Maya is about to great ready.]
Pranav - Maya come down at 8 for the pooja.
Maya - Pranav maa ne kaha pooja kal rakenge.
Pranav - Kyun?
Maya - Pranav I have to go out to meet my friend.
Pranav - Akeli? Oh no I'll come with you...
Maya - NO PRANAV....Uh mera matlab hai mein chali jayungi. Bus 30 min ke to baat hai.
Pranav - Sure?
Maya - Of course.
Pranav - Ok then.
[Maya quietly walks out and leaves the house silently without saying a word.]

Chapter 25
[Maya reaches her destination right at 8. At first she is unable to see anyone. But a few minutes later a car pulls up. Maya is scared. The car's headlights turn off and its dark outside. There is very little visibility.]
Maya - Koi hai?
Ronake - Mein...
Maya - Mein kaun?
Ronake - Yaad karo Maya...
Maya [slowly the voice starts to come back into her head. She gasps] - OMG...Ronake?
Ronake - That's me...
Maya - W...why have you brought me here. And yeh Rishil kaun hai?
Ronake [starts laughing out loud] - Maya you're still stupid. You actually think I would send a letter signed by my name? Then you would surely not come d**nIT...Or you would've brought that KUTA with you...[starts showing some anger.]
Maya [trying to stay strong] - Woh kuta nahi hai. Woh mera pati hai. Aur tum kya chate ho mujhse?
Ronake - Tumhari baarbadi...
Maya - Kya?
Ronake - Yes tumhari baarbadi. I'm going to ruin you. Take you away from your "PATI" and your "FAMILY." And you know why? Because tumhari shaadi mujhse hone wali thi...MUJHSE d**nIT...Pranav se nahi...
Maya - Mein Pranav se pyar karti hoon tumse nahi...
Ronake - WOH TO TUMHARA PROBLEM HAI. WOH PRANAV. MEIN USSE KATAM KAR DUNGA...PHIR TUM KIS SE PYAR KARUNGI?
Maya - Tum kuch nahi kar sakte. Kuch nahi...[very scared]
Ronake - Oh really?
[Maya tries to leave but Ronake graps her hand. There is now more light.]
Ronake - No Maya. You're not going anyone until I finish with you...
Maya [trying to let her hand free but Ronake's grip is too tight] - Let me go...
Ronake - No...You first listen. Yes I told your father-in-law about your truth. LEKIN MERI KISMAT HI KHARAB THI KE even after he knew the truth about you he accepted you into the family. WOHI TO MERA PROBLEM THA d**nIT. If he hadn't accepted you, you would have been mine.
[Maya is trying to hold back tears.]
Ronake - I'll let you go for now...KYUN KE MEIN SHAREEF HOON AUR MEIN KOI RAPE NAHI KARUNGA...BUT YOU WAIT AND WATCH. IF I DONT RUIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THAT FAMILY THEN MERA NAAM BHI RONAKE NAHI HAI...GET LOST...[He pushes Maya.]
[Maya runs as fast as she can.]
Ronake - GET LOST MAYA! I'LL BE BACK. YOU RUINED MY LIFE d**nIT. I'LL GET YOU BACK NO MATTER WHAT. RUN NOW. BUT SOON WHERE WILL YOU RUN TO? [Gives an evil laugh]

Chapter 26
[Maya is not ready to go home like this. She runs as far away as she can and finds a bench to sit on. Tears start pouring down her eyes. She is scared, she is worried. She knows that once Ronake says something he will prove that he can do it. Now she doesn't know what to do. She realizes no matter what she has to save Pranav from harm. She cant tell Pranav the reason but secretly she has to save him from harm. As she is about to leave, Reena notices her and walks up to her.]
Reena - Arey? Tum Rakesh ki bhabhi ho naa?
Maya [wiping her tears away] - J..Ji..
Reena - Mein Reena hoon...We met the other day.
Maya - Yes.
Reena - Are you ok?
Maya - Yes I'm fine. What time is it?
Reena - Its a little over 9.
Maya - Go home. Its late.
Reena - But you s...
Maya - Dont worry about me. You should get going.
Reena - Ok...[Reena leaves.]
[No matter what Maya didn't want the company of anyone. She wanted Reena to leave as soon as possible. She sat down on the bench and began crying again. She had to tell someone in her family about this. But who? She couldn't tell Pranav. She couldnt tell bapuji knowing how he was. If she told maa, then it would be chaos. She could tell Rakesh because he was still not too mature. And Nitin wouldnt be able to understand what she was going through. He would possibly even get angry. She had know one to tell. She wanted to tell Sheetal bhabhi but she didn't want her to go through a lot because she was pregnant. But she had no choice. She had to tell someone. She couldnt just keep this big burden in her. She got up and began walking home. She had decided she would tell Sheetal bhabhi everything and mabye they would be able to come up with a plan. She approached her house at 10 sharp (which was very late as she had promised to be back by 8:30). She slowly entered the house soaking wet (as it had begun raining).]

Chapter 27
[Bapuji this whole time was waiting for her arrival. He was furious when Maya walked in.]
Prakash - Maya kaha thi tum?
[Pranav looks up and runs to Maya]
Pranav - OMG. Maya what happened? You are all wet...
Nitin - What's going on?
Shalu - Oh fo Maya go change your clothes.
Prakash - I want you back here after that.
[Maya leaves silently to go change her clothes. Knowing that she must return to the family room she quietly goes back. Sheetal has just arrived there.]
Sheetal - Maya?
[Maya continues to remain silent.]
Rakesh - Bhabhi kya howa?
Prakash - Shut up everyone. Maya you want to explain this?
Maya [in a silent voice] - Woh...its raining outside. So..
Prakash - So you got wet??
Maya - Ji...
Prakash - And am I supposed to believe that?
[Maya remains silent.]
Shalu - Oh fo...It...
Prakash - TUm chup raho. I'm asking Maya.
Maya - Bapuji believe me...
Prakash - I cant...
Sheetal - Bapuji let her rest. Look at her.
[Prakash leaves still not satisfied but rather more upset. Nitin, Rakesh, and Pranav leave silenty. Then Shalu takes the final move and follows her husband. Sheetal and Maya are left alone. They both sit down on the couch]
Sheetal - Now tell me. What happened?
Maya [crying now] - Bhabhi you were right...
Sheetal - About what?
Maya - My ex fiance.
Sheetal [surprised] - Omg Maya. Are you ok?
Maya - I'm fine but...
Sheetal [worried by now] - But what Maya?
Maya - I got a note earlier today to come meet this Rishil guy at the watergate. That's why I cancelled the pooja and went there because the note said if I didn't show up then something would happen. The letter was signed Rishil. I don't know who Rishil was but then I found out it was Ronake disguising himself as someone else.
Sheetal - This is so bad Maya. But if you didn't know who it was why did you go by yourself?
Maya - I was scared bhabhi.
Sheetal - What did he say?
Maya - He said he's going to harm Pranav and our family and take me back. Bhabhi I'm scared.
Sheetal - Maya dont worry. He wont be able to do anything.
Maya - I'm scared.
Sheetal - Do you want to file a complaint?
Maya - NO....I think that will cause even more problems.
Sheetal - Do you plan on telling Pranav anything?
Maya - No Sheetal..I cant...
Sheetal - Dont worry. We will figure something out.
Maya - I knew that you would be the only person who would understand me...
Sheetal - Aww Maya...
[They both hug each other silenty. Their thoughts are suddenly interuppted and Pranav comes in.]
Pranav - Maya...
[Maya and Sheetal look up with surprise]

Chapter 28:
[Maya is scared.]
Maya - Pra....
Pranav - Mujhe bhi nahi bataogi kya howa?
Sheetal [trying to cover up Maya] - Pranav nothing happened. She was just walking home and it started raining heavily.
PRanav - Bhabhi...
Sheetal - I'm just telling you what's the truth.
Pranav - Well since you're saying it I'll trust you. There is no more truthful person in this house but you.
[Sheetal feels the shame of lying. She feels terrible lying to someone who thinks of her as a great role model. Silently Pranav leaves.]
Maya - Bhabhi thank you.
Sheetal - Maya its ok...Ok we should be getting to bed now.
[They both get up.]
Maya - Good night bhabhi.
Sheetal - Good night Maya.
[They both leave and go to their own rooms.]

[1 month later. Sheetal is in her 6th month of pregnancy. In this one month nothing much has happened. Maya has not heard of Ronake or his whereabouts but she knows that he's somewhere around. Sheetal's health is rocky only because she's almost in her 9th month. Rakesh and Reena are best friends or shall I say lovers but the family does not know about anything yet. Pranav has not learned of what really happened that night. Bapuji has forgiven Maya for that night but he still continues to wonder what may have "really" happened. Overall the house mood is happy again.]
Sheetal [slower than ever] - Nitin...
Nitin - Arey baby...What do you need? Go sit down...[He makes her sit down.]
Sheetal - Nahi I'm fine...OWW...
Nitin [rushes to her] - Kya howa?
Sheetal [smiling] - Kuch nahi...It kicked...
Nitin - Oh...Hehe...Ok I'm off to work. Maya!
[Maya comes immediately.]
Nitin - Maya take care of her.
Maya - Ji bhiaya...
[Nitin kisses her (Maya on the cheeck) and leaves. Maya blushes.]
Sheetal - Maya?
Maya - Huh? Oh yeah mein bhi naa.
Sheetal - I dont know what will happen to you...[shakes her head.] Anyway any news from [looks around to make sure no one's there.] Ronake?
Maya - No...But I'm still scared he's around...
Sheetal - He is trust me on that.
Maya - I know...

[At college.]
Rakesh - I'm not going to fear bapuji anymore. I'm going to ask your hand in marriage in front of him.
Reena - Oh ho. Itna pyar karte ho?
Rakesh - More than anything...Your just so sweet.
Reena - Aww.
Rakesh - I'm going to propose to you but in front of bapuji aur woh bhi aaj...
Reena - Arent you scared?
Rakesh - "Duniya se darna nahi ya pyar karna nahi.."
Reena - Hey wait...That's a song from the movie Chori Chori.
Rakesh - Oh Reenz...SHut up...You didn't know that...
Reena [laughing] - Haha!!
