Part 2
They stay in each other's arms for what seemed like an eternity. Some noise outside brings them back,
"Dev," Kaajjal speaks with her head hidden in his shoulders.
"hmmmm," he mutters like a dream,
"koee bahar hai,"
"I don't care Kaajjal … I don't care" he voice turns into a soft restless whisper. "I just want you in my arms …" and his hold tightens on her even further, "stay here Kaajjal, stay with me, stay close to me." His grip and his restless voice are sending clear messages to him. Message of love he has in his heart for her, message of pain that he had undergone for soo many days, and message of need that he feels to be with her.
They are still lost, when a knock on the door jerks them.
"Kaajjal beta, darwaza kholo," its Satya, SM, sonia and Hottie outside. Kaajjal panics upon hearing Satya's voice.
"o God, they are here. Dev, you have to hide." Kaajjal gets out of his arms, "I don't want them to see you here, with closed door."
"don't worry Kaajjal, we are about to get married," Dev tries to calm her,
"nahi Dev, please go, hide in the washroom." Kaajjal pleads, "please"
"but Kaajjal, why hide?"
"please" Kaajjal insists …
"ok baba …." And he walks to the washroom and closes the door behind him.
Kaajjal, opens the door, and all four comes in. Hottie smells something fishy, but stays quiet. They talk with her about the mayoon rasam, the mehndi and sangeet rasam, and sonia and SM tells her the plans. Kaajjal just smiles and says yes to everything they had to say.
"chalo Kaajjal, ab tum thora araam kar lo, raat ko haldi(mayoon) ki rasam hai," SM gets up and starts walking towards the door. She turns around from the middle, "waisay aap nay Dev ko kaheen dekha hai?" she looks at Kaajjal, "hain kahan Dev?" and Kaajjal very sweetly says,
"ji pata nahi" (hehehhehe) and Dev who is listening to the conversation smiles at her lie. O how beautiful it was, Kaajjal lying about his prince charming and hiding his presence.
"ok, hum dekhtay hain. in ki family bhi tu aanay wali ho gi." And SM , sonia and Hottie steps out of the room. Satya is left behind.
"mujhay maaf kar daina Kaajjal beta," Satya says with a weak voice, "main nay tumhain aur Dev ko bohat dukh diya hai."
"nahi papa, aap yeh kya keh rahay hain," Kaajjal's heart breaks seeing her papa asking for forgiveness.
"nahi beta, mujhay laga Dev tumharay qabil nahi. Jitna dukh us nay tumhain diya tha, us kay baad, mujhay laga aditya hi khush rakh sakta hai tumhain," Satya holds Kaajjal's hand and talks with fatherly love, "lekin main nay aik baar phir Dev ko ghalat samjha." Kaajjal looks at Satya at this, and Dev standing in the washroom turns his head a little upon hearing this.
"Dev tu heera hai beta, aur us ki chamak mujhay tab dikhi jab wo tumhari khushi kay liyay, tumharay bhalay kay liyay, aur meray faislay kay ethraam main tumhara haath Aditya kay haath main dainay ko tyar ho gaya." Dev is listening intently to Satya, "us nay meray faislay ki aur tumhari izzat ki hifazat karnay kay liyay, apna pyar aur apni zindagi daao pay laga di," Kaajjal has tears in her eyes. Tears of love and immense respect for her Dev.
"aaj mujhay fakhr hai beta kay tum nay Dev ko apnay liyay chuna. Mujhay fakhr hai beta kay Dev mera damaad bannay wala hai."
"O papa," Kaajjal bends forward and hugs Satya, "I love you papa."
They share a beautiful father-daughter moment and then Satya leaves, telling her to rest.
Kaajjal locks the door behind him, and Dev comes out of the washroom. Their eyes lock once again. Both are overwhelmed by Satya's expression of love and respect for Dev.
Dev starts moving towards her, and she smiles,
"hmmmm, looks like papa has high opinion about you,"
"How about his daughter," Dev smiles mischievously.
"ummm, she will have to think," Kaajjal smiles back,
"O really, and how long will she take to think .." Dev is now closing the last steps,
"ummm. I don't know" Kaajjal does not have an answer to that,
"waisay, its really fun, main nay suna tha chup chup kay milnay ka maza hi aur hain, aaj experience bhi kar liyay. Uff Kaajjal, can you believe this. Dev Pratap Singh hiding in the washroom," Dev says with a disbelief in his eyes, and Kaajjal laughs at this. Kaajjal's laughter brings a beautiful smile on his face as well, and he is lost in this beautiful moment of seeing her laugh out loud after a long long time.
She is still giggling, when Dev closes the distance between them and moves his had around her waist. Her laughter comes to a sudden halt, and intensity overtakes,
"main tumhain chuna chahta hoon Kaajjal, tumhain ji bhar kay pyar karna chahta hoon. Itan pyar kay tum nay kabhi tasawwar bhi nahi kiya ho ga." Dev voice is full of passion and Kaajjal feels herself loosing into his voice and his intense feelings.
"tumhain nahi pata Kaajjal, kitna tadpa hoon main is lamhay kay liyay. Jab jab tumhain Aditya kay saath dekha, dil khoon kay aansoo roya hai Kaajjal." her head is lifted up towards him, and his head is a little bent to look right into her eyes.
"main tumhain kisi aur kay saath nahi dekh sakta Kaajjal," possession takes over, and he presses her even closer to him – possessively and madly.
"main tumhain kisi aur kay saath nahi dekh sakta Kaajjal," he repeat, as if he can say the same sentence thousand times. Every word was true and depicting his feelings. Kaajjal can feel his possessive and jealous hold on her, and she loves it. She is loving this jealous and possessive side of Dev.
"tum sirf meri ho Kaajjal, aur agar aaj kay baad kabhi bhi, tum nay mujhay chor kay janay ki baat ki, tu main sari duniya ko aag laga doon ga Kaajjal." his voice is a mixture of jealousy, possessiveness and anger – the typical DPS way. Kaajjal feels her self the luckiest person at this sudden outburst of Dev's emotions and jealousy. She lifts her arms and moves them around his neck,
"tumhara yehi pyar meri zindagi hai Dev." she looks in his eyes, with the same passion, "tum mujhay chootay ho tu mujhay ehsaas hota hai kay main zinda hoon, tumhari sansain mujhay meray jeenay ka pata daitay hain, aur tumhain baahain mujhay duniya main aik ghar daitay hain. Wo ghar, jo har insaan ki khwahish hota hai." She presses her to him, for she doesn't want even an inch of air to pass through them. She knows that unknowingly she has hurt him a lot by being with Aditya, and she has to make up for it all.
"tum meray paas nahi thay, tu meri saansain tu chal rahi theen, lekin main zinda nahi thi. Tumharay ehsaas say mujhay zindagi milti hai Dev. Janay anjanay main, mein nay tumhain bohat dukh pohanchanaya hai. Lekin main wada karti hoon, har dukh ko sukh main badal doon gi main Dev … I promise Dev, I promise." Dev crushes her to him at these last words, and they can feel each other's heartbeat.
"mujhay kabhi chor kay na ja Kaajjal," he whispers in a husky yet sexy tone, "kabhi nahi." He holds her even tight, such that she can't even breath, but who wants to breath right now. "tum meri ho Kaajjal, sirf meri …. Sirf meri."
"sirf tumhari Dev, sirf tumhari," and Kaajjal hides her face in his shoulders.
After a long intimate moment they break the embrace and stand up straight. Eyes lock one more time, passion flares, and Dev starts to bend his head. Resisting anything was not possible for even Kaajjal, for she had stayed away from him tooo long. She doesn't want to hold back for a single more second. She closes her eyes and drowns herself in the moment. Her lips are burning with desire, but Dev just gives her a peck on her cheeks. She opens her eyes at this, and looks at him. He lifts his fingers and touches her lips very gently. He Traces the outline of her lips with his fingertips, sending gentle waves of desire and playing havocs with her senses. He then kisses his fingertips and puts them back on her lips. As if his lips just touched hers. She closes her eyes, and breathes the moment. A moment so sweet and simple, yet soo passionate and suggestive.
" I love you," Dev whispers from so close that his breath is touching her lips,
"I love you too." Kaajjal responds,
"tum meri ho Kaajjal, sirf meri," he bends down and kisses his forehead.
"ab tum thora araam karo, sab mujhay bhi dhoond rahay hain. I'll see you tonight at the haldi rasam, if the girls will leave you that is!!!!" He says with a smile, and Kaajjal smiles back.
"agar kisi nay mujhay yahan dekh liyay tu dulhay ko ghar say bahar nikaal dain gay" Dev says innocently, and Kaajjal is sooo happy to have this beautiful moment with him.
Just then Dev's cell rings,
"hello," he picks up,
"Dev sir, Hottie here."
"oh Hottie ," and Dev opens his speaker phone, "is everything ok Hottie ," Dev asks, and Kaajjal is listening to their conversation,
"ji ji, mujhay maloom hai aap is waqt Kaajjal kay kamray mai hain." both Dev and Kaajjal looks at each other at this, with a smile.
"well, how do you know," Dev asks laughingly,
"bohat achi tarah janti hoon, Kaajjal ko bhi aur aap ko bhi." Hottie smiles, "lekin ab aap wahan say niklain, because sunidhi aunty nay kaha hai, dulha dulhan in sanyas till marriage."
"o God, I knew it Hottie ," Dev looks up at Kaajjal at this,
"ji haan …. Waisay shukar karain kay aap ki Sali bohat achi hai. Ab I am coming to her room with soniya in 5 minutes, aap tab tak niklain." Hottie smiles, "apni dulhan ko araam karnay dain," she teases him.
"ok Sali sahiba, I am out of here." And Dev disconnects.
"zalim samaaj" he looks at Kaajjal and smiles and she smiles back.
"I'll see you later," he comes close to her one more time, kisses on her forehead, and walks out of the room.
