Angad tossed on his bed thinking about the incident. His heart was feeling heavy since the incident recollecting Kripa's saddened face. He felt someone stirring inside his heart. He felt something choking his throat. He felt suffocated. He couldn't stay anymore on bed. He got up and walked into his bonus room with some whisky. He rubbed his face nth time to come out of the thoughts. He was repenting, accusing, scolding, and cursing himself for the mistake done in the past with Kripa. He cursed himself for ruining Kripa's happy smooth innocent life. He realized at last there was no point in cursing for the mistake done in the past. He decided to think what better he could do to correct Kripa's life as well as everyone's life has related to her. He felt asleep in thoughts when Sun had been trying to shower his bright rays on earth.
Gayatri and Suryaban went to bed having something light after feeding Sur and putting to bed. They tried several times to bring Kripa out of the room but she didn't open the door.
Kripa cried throughout the night recollecting everything had happened in the past. She felt embarrassed in front of Angad, and her parents. This was the first time Prithvi misbehaved vulgarly with Kripa in front of Angad and her parents. She cried and analysed everything from the time she met Angad till now. She pined all the time to go to Angad. She decided atlast go for filing a case against Prithvi come what may.
Angad met Kanan at home in the morning around 8. Avantika sympathized with him and Kripa. She opined that Kripa should go for filing a case if Prithvi doesn't show any change in his behavior. He called Bose house several times but got no response. He decided to go directly to their house. Kanan advised to convince him first as Kripa doesn't want to go hassles of court.
He got call from Dilip to meet him at office on an urgent project. Angad got a leisure time atlast around 7 in the evening to leave his office to meet Prithvi.
Kripa tried to talk to Damini but she also got no response from other side. She tossed between meeting Prithvi direct and leaving the situation for time being as she was still under restriction orders. She had a court meeting for lifting the restriction orders officially next day.
Prithvi shocked to see Angad at the door. Angad looked devastated by lack of adequate sleep and tension with different thoughts. Prithvi didn't invite him inside. "Mein tumsey Akeley mein baat karna chahta hoon, Prithvi!" For his god luck Prithvi agreed immediately and followed him after changing his clothes. Angad was waiting for Prithvi at the door till he came back.
Angad drove him to a night club. Both kept silence till they reached destination. Prithvi didn't bother to know where they were going. Angad was also fuming and kept silent.
Angad ordered whisky for both and sat at a corner table. Prithvi silently was sipping his whisky. Angad ordered some spicy snacks to go with the whisky. Angad thought "silence before storm." Prithvi was expecting him to start as the call was from him.
Angad cleared his throat "Prithvi! Whatever I'm going to say, please listen to it carefully. I know you had valid reason to harass Kripa. But first of all Kripa was never in love with you." Prithvi angrily opened his mouth and Angad gave a sharp look at him to keep him silent "I haven't finished yet. Let me finish whatever I wanna say. You can give your opinion from your side after hearing me."
"Kripa was engaged to you as she had no other ambition or expectations from life. Sarma ji's family and my family are good friends for long time. I never met Kripa till I joined my dad. I was attracted to Kripa by her looks from the day I joined the office. I developed interest in her and tried to impress her. we attracted to each other by days passing. I nagged her to break the engagement when I noticed that she was also interested in me. I couldn't convey to my family as I was not sure about her intentions. I confronted my love a day before karva chaut. We consummated our relationship. Kripa demanded me to convey the message to elders and break the engagement. I was entitled to leave for US on a risky, troublesome project at crucial stage. If I didn't go that time for that project we would have lost everything to come on streets. I told Dadi everything and requested to cancel the engagement. I was unaware of your wedding till I came back from US. I was broken on hearing the news. I couldn't talk to Kripa after that. No one knew about our consummation. I was upset with Kripa till recently for not waiting for me. I'm ashamed now to hear whatever happened in her life.
She told you about everything for seeking help but you took it in different way. Taking grudge is not the only solution for everything. You thought you would punish Kripa for her betrayal. But did you ever thought from her side? It's my fault to distract her and drag her into a relationship. As a daughter she couldn't speak out about us in front of her parents. She thought you would understand her and told you about us. Why did you marry her? Why did you harass her? What did you gain from this? Mental trauma? Did you ever analyse what you did so far with her? You might have gained emotional satisfaction but how long you will be happy like this? Why did you ruin your life too? Now, for instance, I let her go with you. Would you be happy with her? Think about Sur. What was her sin? Usney tumhara kya bigada hai? You were harassing Kripa in front of her. Do you think she respects you ever in her life?"
Angad softly was explaining about his relation with Kripa. Prithvi was sipping his whisky and listening to him. Angad was wondering for is silence but continued speaking to him.
"I'm nicely advising you to think about it and consider this in fair way. Release Kripa from your life. In this way we would be happy and you also could turn your life in right path. I heard you like Harshini. Marry her and be happy with her."
Angad slowly raised his voice with authoritative tone while Prithvi silently was listening to him. He didn't show any expressions on his face. Angad was worrying about his decision though hiding his fears within him.
"Would you like to go through all hassles of jail, harassment in police custody? I know high authorities over there. I know how to support Kripa. And I definitely try to take her back. It's your turn to choose the best way to get lost from her life."
Angad noticed Prithvi silently thinking like a good boy. He took a chance and took out some papers from inside his shirt. He put them in front of Prithvi. "If you think whatever I said was fair and reasonable, sign these papers. I don't want to keep you in shadow. These are divorce papers from Kripa. These were documented from your side seeking divorce from her. I don't want you to have divorce filing from Kripa's side. I want you to give her divorce as she was at fault. This way you can proudly say Kripa was at fault and you left her."
Prithvi shook his head and signed the papers as if he was under semi-conscious status. After him signing the papers, Angad safely placed them inside his shirt.
Kanan and Nishant came to their table and congratulated Prithvi and Angad. Prithvi was startled and confusingly looked at Angad. Angad smiled "Thanks Prithvi! I thought you make fuss on signing papers. So I requested Nishant Saxena, FBI officer and Kanan Agarwal, Lawyer to handle your case." Angad introduced them and relaxed at the back rest of the chair. Prithvi became red with anger but couldn't say anything as Kanan was an eye witness of his harassments and Nishant, the case investigator. Prithvi clenched his teeth and left without saying a word.
Nishant and Kanan shook Angad's hands once again "what we couldn't do all these days, you did in an hour. Great!" Angad shook his head "Ismein mera mahannata kuch nahin hai. I think Prithvi already had decided to divorce Kripa but just wanted to harass her for some more time for fun."
He sighed "anyways this would be good news for Kripa. I will reach her and take her signatures too. I might bring papers to you before bed time" he put his hand on his shirt to secure the papers. Kanan smiled "no problem, you can give them any time before 7 tomorrow morning. So, I can file them by first court hours."
Nishant bid bye and left them as he had to handle another similar case. Angad headed to Sarma's house after Kanan left. His mind was racing faster than his car to see Kripa's reactions on seeing papers. He imagined how he could handle her.
By the time he reached Sarma's house Kripa wasn't home. Gayatri told that she went to meet some of her neighbours in US whom she met two days ago. Sur was sleeping already after having dinner. Suryaban was in his room reading some mythological novel.
Angad explained about Prithvi signing the papers. He wanted to give the news first to Kripa but he wanted to see them happy as Gayatri was embarrassingly facing him. Gayatri startled with excitement and yelled Suryaban's name. He worriedly came out and found the news. He moistened his eyes and hugged Angad. "Hum kissi ki muh dikhaney ki layak nahin raha, Angad! Kripa ko toh har waqt barosa dilate rehtey they magar mann hi mann mein ek darr paida hogaya tha. Abb mein chain sey so paaonga. Kripa went through a lot. She never told us anything; even now she was not opening her mouth. Apni aap ko gunegaar maanti hai bechari." Suryaban spilled his heart out by caressing Angad's hands affectionately.
Gayatri also was sobbing softly "Abb tuhi ussey kushi rakhna beta! Wo bahut sahayi thi. Iss mein humara galati bhi tha. Hum Prithvi ki jaldbaazi ko samajh nahin paya tha!"
Gayatri made some strong coffee for Angad and both wife and husband spent some more time with Angad as they were relaxed from a big problem. Kripa didn't turn home until 10 and Angad left the papers with them saying he would recollect them next morning before 7.
