The First Step is a Duzy

It's been about half an hour and Kripa already wanted to go home. She was sleepy but was to scared to sleep. She was hungry but was to scared to take out a sticky bun. She even had to use the ladies room a little but was too scared to ask Angad to stop someplace. The song Angad was hearing was really giving Kripa a headache but she was too scared to ask him to turn it off. Living in her boredom Kripa thoughts drifted back into dreamland. Maybe Angad was her soul mate, maybe this was all a sign from God. Probably not, Kripa had these thoughts for every other good looking guy. Once in school, this handsome man came and sat next to her and automatically Kripa's thoughts drifted to how 5 years from then Kripa would meet this guy again and marry him. As Kripa was revising how many guys she had married in her mind she left a sudden tap on her shoulder.

Kripa jumped immediately and looked at Angad who was staring at her with the brooding face he always had on. "You want to get something to eat?", he asked. He sure did have one sexy voice. Kripa stayed quiet for a while because she really didn't understand his question. No, she isn't retarded, she just didn't comprehend. "Excuse me?", she asked in her little mouse voice. Angad raised his eyebrow and rolled his eye's. "Great she's the shy type", he said unhappily. With a sigh he spoke again, "You want to get something to eat, it's been a while", he said again. "Sure if you want", Kripa replied. Angad didn't seemed pleased with her answer seeing his expressions. "Okay, there's a diner in the next exit, we'll take it", Angad said while moving to the left lane so he could take the exit.

After the 2 lined conversation there was silence again until they reached the diner. Kripa walked a bit behind Angad as they made their way to the diner. Angad kept looking back at her and making a face and rolling his eye's. After getting halfway through the parking lot Angad stopped and so did Kripa. Angad walked back to Kripa and lowered his neck so he could meet her eye's. "Would you mind walking with me. It's kind of uncomfortable having you follow me like this", he said. Kripa slowly nodded and when Angad began walking again she slowly whispered, "Sorry".

There's was a mucky smell in the diner of fried eggs and bacon. Kripa didn't like it one bit, it smelt dirty. Even when Angad and Kripa sat on a table the table was sticky and dirty. Kripa had to use the bathroom, but seeing the conditions of this diner she really didn't want to check out their bathrooms. She just held it in. "So what do you want to eat?", Angad asked. There it was, the question Kripa hated. All her life Kripa was never able to choose the right thing to eat. Her daddy would always choose her food. That was another reason she hated diner's, the food in diners was always huge and impossible for Kripa to finish. Kripa hated food. "Hello!", Angad said loudly to break Kripa from her trance. "Sorry. I'll have the Pancake Combo", she said. Angad rolled his eye's and nodded. "And I'll have your special", Angad said handing the menu to the waiter, who was most likely also the cook, and also the owner of this joint.

Kripa's mouth fell open when the food came. There was a stack of pancakes, practically 12 of them in front of her. There was a bunch of egg's, toast, bacon, and something else Kripa didn't recognize. When she ordered her food, she thought maybe 2 maximum three pancakes, maybe 4 small French toasts and maybe just maybe an egg. Here there was a dozen of them in front of her beautifully stacked with whipped cream and a strawberry on top of it. Angad's food came, and boy was Kripa jealous. There were two pancakes, two French toasts, one fried egg and fruit. Kripa look at her food again a gulped. Angad looked at Kripa's food and her face and couldn't control the smile. "And I thought I ate a lot", he said. Kripa smiled and looked down. "Well you start, you have a lot of eating to do. I'll be right back", Angad said as he got up. Kripa started taking a bit from her pancake and Angad looked at her from the counter laughing. He turned to face the guy who took their order. He looked at his name tag that read "Al". "Where's the men's room?", Angad asked. Al pointed to the restrooms and Angad nodded. "Hey do me a favor. You see the girl with me, go to her and tell her you mixed up our orders. Give her my food and put her plate on my side on the table", Angad said pointing at Kripa who looked like she was about to throw up. "No problem", said Al. Angad scratched the side of his head and looked back at Kripa. "And get her a chocolate milkshake while your at it, I think the daddy's girl is going to start crying", he joked as he handed Al 5 dollars.

When Angad came back from the bathroom, Kripa facial expression was a lot more relaxed. "The guy said he switched our orders", Kripa said softly. "Yeah, he told me", Angad replied as he began munching on his food. "And he gave me a milkshake", Kripa added. Angad put his spoon down and looked at Kripa with a smirk on his face. "He gave you a what?", Angad asked. Kripa automatically realized that Angad took that in a very perverted way thus the smiling. Kripa looked down and began blushing, "Nothing". Angad made a face and began eating again. Kripa wasn't able to face Angad all through breakfast, in this embarrassment she forgot to ask him how the restrooms were.
